It is in an ideal location with lots of good walks, but also with good places to eat out 15-20 minutes away, and easy travelling distance of the coast. We enjoyed our stay in Gunluk Cottage. The property was comfortable, well stocked and clean. We would definitely stay there again, and the home made cake was both delicious and a pleasant surprise.

Wonderful stay at this farm again, kids love it just as much as we do, beautiful owners make you feel right at home, little extras are a real bonus. We'd have kept coming back every year but for the rise in cost of a week, as we have to come in school hols the £100 or so rise for next year has priced us out unfortunately, but we wish the very best to the owners and would definitely recommend to all.

Delightful & quiet cottage - perfect location for viewing surrounding areas of interest.Well presented, spacious, clean & all modern amenities (note no internet). Comfy beds. Large bedrooms. Jackie made us feel very welcome (Thank You Jackie !). Nice welcome pack upon arrival (cake was lovely). Jackie on hand in case of any problems (which there wasn't). Really pleased. Lovely holiday. Everything you needed in the cottage a real home from home. Good places to eat within a few miles and close to teh Moors and Coast, who could ask for more.

Loved the cottage and the location. Peaceful village with a fascinating church. Very comfortable beds and lounge and well equipped kitchen. Jaqueline made us feel really welcome with home made cake and fresh eggs. Highly recommended

Cottage is located in a lovely village which is only a short trip from Scarborough.

Cottage is located in a lovely village which is only a short trip from Scarborough. We arrived to find cake, tea and pop left for us. The cottage is very large with an additional snug if you want a quiet 10 mins. It's very peaceful. Well worth the time we spent there.

Our holiday at Gunluck cottage was superb.

Our holiday at Gunluck cottage was superb. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed and more besides. The location couldn't have been better, a lovely village, with Scarborough, Whitby and Filey within a short distance. We have booked again for 2020.

Been to both cottages several times and just LOVE it. Real home from home but on holiday. Complete relaxation in beautiful countryside and excellent base for exploring nearby attractions and coastline.

perfect location nice and quiet village with a lovely walk around and ducks for the kids to feed Whitby filey York ect within driving distance lovely pub a few miles up the road (dennison arms) that served lovely food park and ride for both scarbourgh and Whitby which saves having to look for parking in the towns all in all just perfect if your after somewhere peaceful cottage was spot on with extra blankets for cold nights owners at hand if you wanted something if not we were left to it couldn't of asked for a better cottage location local butcher a 5 min walk from the cottage was well stocked and pleanty of other village shops in the next villages for basics booked again for july to visit gothland (heartbeat village) which is about 15 miles away a well worth visiting. Jackie is the perfect host and even sent my sons teddy and pencil case back to me when hed left it behind

My husband & I together with our 3 grandchildren have just enjoyed a lovely four days at West End Farm, Gunluk cottage. The owner left a lovely welcoming tray of homemade cake, milk, eggs, butter and sugar. The cottage is well equipped, clean and cosy (much larger than images on the website). The village is beautiful with lovely walks around the ponds and the butchers shop offers fresh veg and grocery items as well. Dalby Forest is a great place for bike hire and trails, as well as walks - Troutdale is a very beautiful drive from Snainton to Ayton and of course there is always Scarborough Beach, a must for youngsters. All in all a perfect place for a family. Thank you Jackie & Chris

Wonderful cottage on working farm in idyllic setting. Welcoming, kind, and friendly owners ... our grandchildren loved the newborn lambs and other farm animals. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. Would have been straight 10s with Wi fi !!! Hoping to return... thank you for a very special stay.
