Good faith or bad faith? The facts: there was a scaffolding for a quick renovation in another apartment on the second floor, it had to be removed on the morning of the day of Bernd's arrival. When we saw that time was passing, promptly we notified the customer. Even if the unforgettable panoramic view on the Grand Canal was by no means reduced by the scaffolding, we gave a 25% discount on the total amount. Then? Our messages are displayed but we get no response; alternatively a 'self-destructing message' Impossible Mission style was sent to us: it becomes impossible to give answers in such condition • We offered another stay -for free-, in high season too. • It is an absolutely unique proposal: in fact the apartment was fully usable, the garden too, the panoramic view always the same. No answer, at all. We also asked VRBO for the best way to proceed - they were surprised at the tall refund we offered. 4 days after from check-out we received an unpleasant message that closed with these words: "...I am sure you are still laughing about this stupid old Germans - you have made good Business and money with them. So if you have Charakter- give us our paid money back." As professionals, we don't want propertly reply: this apartment is just the only apartment in Venice having a private deck over the Grand Canal (not common), it's on the top sales by the all the most important portals, it's rented in/out from more than 11 months a year. Good faith or bad faith? You decide. To be honest, if someone sends you self-extinguishing messages any doubt is legitimate.
