I would not rent to Suzanne. The level of hospitality she required upon check-in was equal to that of a four-star hotel. I felt like a concierge service. She was demanding and difficult to work with. I left town for a few days during her stay and she scolded me for not checking in with her before leaving, as if I needed to clear my schedule with her before making plans. In addition, my back-up property manager met her request within a few hours. I allowed her to check-in early which is why the linens were still in the home, and when I came by to greet her and pick up the items, she was not home. I provide plenty of essentials for my guests when they stay, including toilet paper, soaps, dishwasher soap, and even laundry detergent. However, all other long-terms guests have gladly purchased additional toilet paper as a normal cost of their own living expense. Suzanne was the first long-term guest to stay since we moved from the neighboring property and previously I would always bring over my vacuum if a guest needed it, so, in this instance I was willing to bring my vacuum over for her use while a new vacuum was being ordered. And, yes, I did check in with her at the end of her stay with no response from Suzanne. One queen mattress is brand new and the other queen mattress comes from a clean, smoke-free, pet-free home, with a sturdy mattress pad that has always been used, and it is natural for discoloration to happen over time. I don't need to address the lack of luggage rack, again, because I am not a four-star hotel. There are towel hooks in the second bathroom. The living room is cozy and the couch fits just fine. The four-dining room chairs fit comfortably around a large dining-room table that has a leaf to expand for additional guests, and two additional bar stools can be used, if needed. The upstairs tenants, who have one preschool-age-child (4), a baby, and an older grade-school child, are aware of the downstairs guests and are always very friendly, helpful, and accommodating to the guests. They are aware that their children walk around and play, as little children should, so if there is ever a concern, they are happy to welcome your requests for certain quiet hours.
