perfect location for adventures to begin

Miana was a pleasure to rent from. The apartment was recently renovated and very nicely appointed. The location is an easy walk to most of the major sights in Rome. Miana was super responsive to any requests and even arranged a taxi and gave us a “ciao” send off at 7:15 in the morning !!! Would stay at this property again!

Spacious apartment nicely decorated close to the subway and bus stops, with air conditioning. Miana made our stay very enjoyable. Could not have been happier. Great experience!

Wonderful experience staying in this lovely apartment getting to see what it’s like to live in Rome. Miana was so easy to communicate with and was there to answer any questions and give us advice on restaurants and things to do. Beds were very comfortable and the apartment was spotlessly clean. Short walk to Metro. Very close to delicious restaurants and a beautiful market right across the street. We loved throwing open the windows and listening to the church bells. Plenty of room for two couples traveling together.

The perfect stay!

When we first stumbled upon this flat on Vrbo, it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch! But everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Miana is the most thoughtful, gracious host. She provided us with all the information we needed and showed us around. The flat is just perfect! Kitchen is compact and contains everything one needs. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are excellent. Location is incredible. Miana had excellent restaurant recommendations and was of great help. She went way beyond to make our long-weekend comfortable and memorable. Thanks Miana and Roma for a wonderful weekend! We will be back, Ivaldo.

4 days in Rome

We stayed here for 4 nights in early October, the apartment is just as advertised and Miana is very pleasant and helpful, she met us on time and explained everything that we needed to know about the apartment and all the things in the area that would be of interest. The accommodations are very clean and beautifully decorated, large bedrooms, living room and the bathrooms are nice also, The location is great, 10 minute walk to the Vatican and there are metro and bus stops nearby. We would defiantly recommend this apartment as a great place to stay and Miana as a host.

Andrea Doria Apartment review (Rome)

The charming property owner (Miana) was exceptional at answering our questions, staying in contact, giving helpful tourist advise, and greeting us upon arrival and wishing us safe travels upon our departure. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and modern. . Exactly as the pictures show. Easy walking distance to Vatican City. Good restaurants close by, small grocery store very close. We chose to walk to the Coliseum, Pantheon etc 45 mins to an hour, but public transportation is available. AC was available in each sleeping area. Comfortable bedding. Washing machine, Internet was strong in one bedroom, adequate in another, and spotty in the living room. Third floor, but elevator is just outside the apartment’s front door. We were very happy with our stay.

La location est très bien située . 20 m d’un petit supermarché et 300 m d’un carrefour 24/24. Au centre de Rome , on fait tout à pied . Location très propre, spacieuse et confortable . Miana nous a accueilli chaleureusement et nous a présenté le logement, le quartier très efficacement. Le logement est idéalement situé, à 10 minutes du musée du Vatican. Proche d'une superette (20 mètres), d'un marché couvert (100 m) et de restaurants, en face d' une excellente gelateria, A moins de 10 minutes du métro et avec un parking payant juste en face. D'autre part, l'appartement est confortable, conforme à la description. Noys y reviendrons assurément lors de notre prochain séjour à Rome et le conseillerobs à nos amis.

Absolutely Wonderful Stay in Rome near the Vatican!!

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay in this apartment near the Vatican. It is exactly as described with comfortable beds, a nice living area and kitchen and perfect location (walk to the vatican museum, easy metro to other sites, grocery store next door). Miana was an amazing host - giving us great recommendations for restaurants and even arranging a taxi to the airport on a Sunday before 7 am and arriving to the apartment herself to make sure we got off ok! She was very responsive to questions and was so flexible when our flight to Rome was cancelled and we had to change the meeting times. We would definitely recommend it to anyone and would love to come back! As a bonus, the wifi and A/C worked well despite the very hot July temperatures. Thank you Miana!!

A sparkling gem in a great location

This thoughtfully remodeled home boasts beautiful touches and solid construction for a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Nestled among the apartments of locals and just far enough from the tourist melee, the neighborhood has all the charm and convenience of an authentic community (cafés, restaurants, grocery stores, an incredible local food market and arguably the best gelato in town at the nearby Fatamorgana) while still easily accessible to all the sites via foot/bus/metro/taxi. To top it off, Miana is a 5-star hostess who is attentive, communicative and brimming with suggestions for a fabulous stay. This is Rome at its finest.

My stay at this lovely apartment was made even better by the gracious and brilliant host Miana! She is an amazing host, who provided the best guidance to ensure I knew how to get around to the places I planned to see. Listen to her! Especially about the taxi ride to the apartment; only the white taxis! The apartment is absolutely gorgeous and super clean! I’m coming back in 2 years, and plan to book well in advance to ensure I can stay at this beautiful and clean apartment! And to see my new friend Miana!!!

Very nice appartement close to Vatican

Very nice welcome from Miana and help with booking a taxi back. Lovely clean and refurbished apartment. Good location close to the entrance of the Vatican museums (book well in advance online! Same for the Colosseum). We visited Rome on foot and also used the many bus lines available. New, comfortable beds. Nice bathrooms. Definitely would recommend!

ottima accoglienza, ottima sistemazione

Passare la settimana di Capodanno in questo appartamento è stata un'esperienza memorabile; il valore aggiunto è stato vivere la terrazza condominiale durante i fuochi d'artificio che hanno circondato Roma l'ultima notte dell'anno, tutti visibili da quella posizione già privilegiata per la fantastica vista del Cupolone. L'appartamento è nuovo, luminoso, caldo, arredato con gusto e con ogni confort. E' stato ideale per 2 coppie, come noi, per la presenza di due bagni e una zona comune (cucina e soggiorno) dove poter godere della compagnia. La zona ci ha sorpreso positivamente essendo vicinissima ai musei vaticani e ben collegata al centro con i mezzi pubblici di superficie e metropolitani; arrivare a piedi nel cuore di Roma è una passeggiata piacevole anche a piedi. Il "mercato Trionfale" appena di fronte all'appartamento ci ha fatto godere dei sapori genuini del luogo. Intorno è possibile mangiare bene, spendendo il giusto. La padrona di casa, Damiana, è stata accogliente, ci ha dato ottimi consigli per il nostro soggiorno in città, accogliendoci con simpatia e disponibilità.

This is a lovely apartment, decorated to a very high standard and in a great location.

We stayed here with our 2 young daughters. It is in a great location a few minutes from the Vatican and metro station so getting around Rome was very easy. The apartment is also opposite Rome's food market with daily fresh produce for snacks and picnic lunches. The apartment is spacious, well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. Miana was a great hostess and source of information. She was able to recommend things to see and great restraunts for meals. It was lovely to spend time with her and fascinating to hear her stories of Rome. We would happily recommend this apartment and hope to stay here again in the future.

Location magnifique tout confort très bien située, à proximités des lieux à visiter

immeuble magnifique, appartement spacieux et très bien équipée, tout confort, vous serez séduit de ses prestations. Situé dans un bon quartier de Rome à 50 m du vatican. Proche de toutes commodités, magasins, restaurants, supermarché, proche du métro et surtout proche des lieux à visiter. Notre hôte Damiana était vraiment super, très gentille, de bons conseils. Un grand merci à Damiana car c'est aussi grâce à elle que nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette ville magnifique de Rome. Je vous recommande vivement cette location. People who know me say that I have a pleasant character, sense of humor and that I am positive, authentic and sincere.

I was born and raised in Rome where I have deep and solid roots, I am a real ROMAN, for a thousand generations!
I love Rome that I know as my pockets and which I enjoy to talk about and illustrate, in detail, its beauties

I must, however, confess that my second home is the world where I feel comfortable everywhere.

I have traveled, lived and studied abroad:
I graduated (with honors) in Italy, in Political/Social Sciences but I also have an international academic background because I have also studied abroad:
* in the UK, in London, with a grant from the "British Council";
* in the USA, at Harvard, Cambridge, MASS, with a "Fulbright" scholarship;
* in Malta, with a grant from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government of Malta;

I also have international professional experience as a manager in the Italian government where I have dealt with success for decades of foreign relations, in particular: OECD, G7/G8, EU, USA, Mediterranean, etc ..

I have many friends all over the world who, among other things, appreciate my cuisine: in fact, among my hobbies, in addition to reading, to walk a lot, to play sports, to go to the cinema, theatre, museums, there is also that of cooking.

I love cooking and I also love teaching to those who want to learn, how to cook...

The apartment belongs to my family since the beginning of the 20th century!

We are practically autochthonous!

All the members of my family live in "PRATI", because we love PRATI, we all live close to each other.

My family lives in Prati since Prati was built a few decades after the Unification of Italy (1861).

We like this elegant area of Rome, with its wide streets, giant trees, beautiful period buildings, elegant shops. Very convenient, well connected that allows you to reach, walking safely, the main poles of attraction of the Eternal City.

Precisely because this area is central, close to every where, very convenient, well connected, safe, we decided to enhance the beautiful apartment in Via Andrea Doria, with very high ceilings (3.50 m), whose construction dates back to the beginning of the twentieth century, the building is really "Liberty" style ...

We have recently decided to renovate the apartment, assisted by a well known Roman architect: we have restored it with care and taste and I do not deny that, in doing so, we also had fun and passionate.

Now that we have renovated it in a refined way, I am happy to welcome those who love Rome and who appreciate living in an elegant and comfortable apartment, in a prestigious area.

Finally, Prati and Via Andrea Doria, in particular, are also pleasant because you can walk, in peace, on the wide and tree-lined sidewalks and go anywhere on foot or by bike (Prati is flat and there are cycle paths) or by public transport: there is, in fact, a dense network of bus together with the "Metro A" Ottaviano.

The house is beautiful and cozy:
- parquet everywhere;
- the high ceiling m. 3.50;
- the fully equipped kitchen has modern furniture;
- in the living room: valuable, antique furniture, contemporary with the "Liberty" building; a round and carved walnut table, a very modern, comfortable double sofa bed;
- two delightful bedrooms: one "Large Blu" room and the other a "Romantic" room with private bathroom;
- two comfortable bathrooms, with artistic majolica: from Amalfi / Vietri one, the other with beautiful TULIPS of a Dutch designer;
- air conditioning in all rooms;
- lift;
- on the top (6th floor) there is a condominium terrace, accessible to the tenant, who will have the keys: she/he can sit in complete relaxation, admire the view, have a drink, and especially admire the Dome of St. Peter.

On the terrace there is also the possibility, typical of Rome, to hang clothes under the sun, in the wind and have them dry, in short, in a very hygienic way.

A historic (1900) sidewalk, ALBERATO (centenarian plane trees), wide m. 11: the only one in Rome so wide, where you can walk for more than 3 km, considering that Via Andrea Doria continues on Viale delle Milizie which is also wide, tree-lined, wonderful road that leads to the Tiber and then to Piazzale Flaminio and to Villa Borghese, a wonderful park, one of the most beautiful in Rome and that represents a healthy lung for the city.

Via Andrea Doria is also called Boulevard Andrea Doria for the wealth of its numerous and excellent bars, pizzerias, restaurants, ice-cream shops, which have tables outside and inside.

My family loves this apartment that we are now happy to rent to tourists who, I am sure, will appreciate it and will love it, like us.

As soon as the tenant sets foot in this elegant home, he/she will enjoy the apartment, appreciate and respect it.
