Cindy- I am really sorry you didn't have a perfect experience during your stay. We take the cleanliness of our house very seriously, especially when we are not in town to supervise. We have had a number of guests through other web portals and we have never had a complaint. I am glad you enjoyed the house and the location. We spent a lot of time preparing the house, buying new linens, towels, dishes, cutlery and even a new dishwasher to provide a superlative experience. Thank you for your feedback. --> Eric

Hello Nancy Thank you for recommending our place. You were a great guest and left the house in great shape. We have a ton of white towels in the walk in closet in one of the bedrooms in the main level. Any towels, blankets and other necessities that are visible are all for guests' enjoyment. We'll make sure to update our welcome letter so our future guests understand this. We make every effort to be available, but we were on a hike and our phone was out of range. We got in touch after 20 minutes (about the same time our neighbor called) and were able to solve the problem. Our house is equipped with a Yale electronic locking system and we generate a custom digital code for each guest for easy entry to avoid lockouts. If the code is lost we can generate a new code or open the door remotely. Thank you again for your suggestions. You are always welcome back to our house.

Our goal is to provide a clean and welcoming environment and we are committed to making sure that all of our guests are satisfied and comfortable. We are readily accessible by phone, text, and email and maintenance matters are taken seriously and expeditiously resolved once they are reported to us. We are very proud of our beautiful house in the heart of San Francisco. This house is our full-time residence (Vicky, Eric and our 3 sons), which we occasionally rent out during out-of-town trips. It is a very well-kept historic house, built in 1933. Note that San Francisco restricts short-term rentals to a maximum of 90 days per year and requires licensing, which we maintain. You will find that legal hosts will have some personal items in San Francisco residences. We take great pains to put out dedicated linens and towels, and leave ample space for guests to store their luggage during their stay. Guests are welcome to use household staples in the kitchen as well as laundry soap, dishwasher soap, etc. House sharing is a great innovation that makes it affordable for families to comfortably visit cities and we are huge proponents of the sharing economy. Our house has 4 comfortable bedrooms, a huge garage and separate living, dining and breakfast rooms, making it a great choice for families visiting San Francisco. While we're disheartened by the review this guest chose to leave, we wish them well. We have had many short-term guests over the years and the feedback on our house and its condition has been universally positive. We have returning guests who come every summer.
