"ShuffleInn" - Entzückendes historisches Cottage am See in großartiger Lage

Ein charmant restauriertes Häuschen aus dem Jahr 1881 mit einer herrlichen offenen Veranda in idealer Lage. Einen Block vom Hoover Auditorium, einen Block vom Rhein Center, einen halben Block von der Wesley Lodge, fünf Blocks vom Strand und dem Central Park, den Geschäften und Aktivitäten in der Innenstadt entfernt. Zwei Vollbäder und ein Schlafzimmer nach unten, drei Schlafzimmer nach oben. Fenster AC-Einheiten, Waschmaschine / Trockner, Geschirrspüler, Keurig, voll ausgestattete Küche, TV / DVD / VCR, viele Kinderspiele. Keine Zentralheizung, aber schön im September und Oktober.

Kissen, Bettdecken und Matratzenauflagen sind inbegriffen. Bitte beachten Sie, dass Sie Ihre eigenen Bettwäsche und Handtücher mitbringen müssen. Während der Sommersaison ist eine tägliche Eintrittsgebühr für das Lakeside Chautauqua sowie ein Parkausweis erforderlich. Während des Aufenthaltes auf dem Gelände müssen alle Vorschriften eingehalten werden.

Dieses Ferienhaus steht in der Tradition des Lakeside, "es besser zu verlassen, als Sie es vorgefunden haben". Dies bedeutet, dass Sie, bevor Sie gehen, alle Abfälle entfernen und das Haus gründlich reinigen müssen, damit es für den nächsten Mieter bereit ist. Perfect

This was the perfect place for our family. We loved the front porch and our kids played so much with the Lego sets. They had much more available in the kitchen than I anticipated. We loved the location of the cottage as well. Host was wonderful and communicated right away. Also, the neighbors on both sides were so sweet and we had wonderful conversations with them :)

Quiet Get Away

We enjoyed our time at Lakeside. The cabin was just as described. It would be helpful if the daily entrance costs and parking costs were stated in the description as it was a bit more than we had expected to pay. We took full advantage of quiet streets for bike rides and walks. I enjoyed the memorial garden and of course the amazing ice cream. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home.

Cute cottage, great Lakeside location!

This is a cute cottage in a great location for Lakesiders. We were super impressed with the hot water and water pressure for a cottage this old! There were 6 adults and we were never short on hot water, or pressure, even when two showers were going at once! The owners could clear out some of their things to make the guests more comfortable. There were empty dresser drawers for us to use, but all of the shelving and flat surfaces were crammed with linens, books, toiletries, knick knacks, open food goods, etc., requiring us to move things out of the way so we had a place for our personal belongings and food.

I apologize for the personal items in the house, we only rent a few weeks a year, it is primarily our home. Unfortunately, my husband did the packing up last year and left more out that usual. I wish you would have let me know while you were there, we would have happily sent a family member over to move anything you needed. If you stay with us again, please don't hesitate to ask.

Shuffled in and out

The Shuffle Inn is a lovely quaint old home. Thank you for opening it up! We shared her with our family and friends from Michigan and Ohio. My family is from MI and OH but I live in Maine now and my dad/sister live in TN. Lakeside community was the perfect place to have company, reunite with old friends, enjoy the lake, evening music and celebrate my father's 88th birthday! Thanks again - We hope to be back someday.

Shuffle Inn

The Shuffle Inn was a great place for our family to stay at and have some downtime. We loved the front porch and spent a lot of time on it catching up with each other and watching the day go by, very relaxing! Judy the owner was very quick to respond to any questions I had during the booking process all the way through to checking out, which was great! If you are looking for a cottage in Lakeside, you should definitely consider booking the Shuffle Inn!

Perfect Cottage Experience

This cottage is adorable! It felt a little like we were back in time, in one of the original cottages of Lakeside, while still having updated amenities. There were games galore, great porch for eating and playing games, and awesome washer and dryer. The host was fabulous with communication and answering questions. A few things to note, the kitchen stove is not for feeding lots of people easily (but still worked great) and the beds are a little firm (but we still slept just fine). Many thanks for a great home!

Perfectly Lakeside

This cottage was like staying at a family member's home - imperfectly perfect - it had a great vibe. Loved its history (including some photos on the wall depicting it over the years), clearly this home has stories to tell. The shuffleboard inspired porch railing is pure brilliance! Loved the front porch - we ate all of our meals out there! The air conditioner in the first floor bedroom was a bit loud, but honestly, the two fans did a better job circulating air better anyhow. Well appointed kitchen with plenty of gadgets to make meals - there was even an iron skillet in the kitchen, which we so appreciated. Location was great. The only thing we wish we knew ahead of time is that there is a dedicated parking space down the street - we paid for parking online before arriving unfortunately. Cute VHS collection for kids. Will definitely keep Lakeside and the Shuffle Inn on our list for future quick escapes. Communication with the owner was perfect and very efficient via text.

Great stay at the Shuffle Inn!

The cottage was the perfect getaway for our family of 4. Had all the amenities we needed for a relaxing weekend away. Check in was super easy and we lucked out getting to meet the host who gave us a quick tour and brief history lesson on the home. The village of Lakeside was great to bike around and the kids had fun getting in the water down by the pier and trying out all the ice cream shops. Took the ferry to Kelley’s Island for an easy day trip, and also checked out the Marblehead lighthouse. It’s beautiful. Would definitely return to Lakeside and the Shuffle Inn. Thanks Judy!

Wonderful stay

We loved our stay at the Shuffle Inn! The area was quaint and allowed for our 12 year old to bike around the neighborhood to explore solo and she loved the freedom! We did travel with two 5 year olds and a 2 year old, so it would have been helpful to know that the house is located directly on a main entrance into Lakeside that is quite busy. The house did have some issues with cleanliness; the house was very tidy but not clean of allergens and dust. My partner has allergies so it was quite noticable to him with a heavy reaction; if you are travelling with those with allergies a vacuum and quick wipe down before settling in would do the trick. Otherwise an incredible getaway and very homey! We gave it 5 stars because it truly is a wonderful stay- all four adults and four kiddos were in love with the house and everything it offered. Thanks to the owners for creating an oasis in Lakeside!

Hi Chelsey! I'm so glad you gave us 5 stars! It was nice to have you. As to your concerns, unfortunately we live in a very high allergen area being so humid near the lake. And the cottage is 139 years old, so a certain amount of dust tends to slip through the cracks (and we had a new roof put on this spring which kicked some new dust into the cracks). As to the location, we have spent every summer in the cottage since before our two kids were born. Relative to some other locations in Lakeside specifically the road may seem "busy". Lakeside itself is not a heavy traffic area. We are 5 blocks from one of the gates and the speed limit is 15 mph. Adjusting to a new location with kids is always stressful, I sure get that, but we have never felt unsafe there with our kiddos. All the best for a safe and healthy rest of your summer!

Charming Cottage for Family Fun

We loved a mini family reunion at Shuffle Inn. The rooms were clean. The mattresses were cozy. It felt like sleeping on a cloud. The decor was charming Lakeside. The kitchen was well equipped. Judy and Bob, the owners were incredibly responsive. My dad wanted a certain coffee maker, Judy delivered a brand new one on our first day. I needed WiFi and it was installed the week before we arrived. We feel so lucky to have spent a week in this place. Thank you for exceeding our expectations Judy and Bob!!

The ShuffleInn is our family summer cottage. We spend most of the summer in the house and it is a place we love thoroughly. Bob is a life-long Lakesider, the 21 time National Shuffleboard Champion and a cross country coach. Judy has been coming to Lakeside since 1998 and is in love with the history, charm and peace found in this unique community. The kids ask to go to Lakeside all winter long and look forward to family time spent in the cottage. We know you will feel like this is a peaceful, rejuvenating place for you too.
