We'd like to clarify one point for future guests: the listing does disclose that the unit does not have air conditioning in both the property description and the amenities. We understand that air conditioning is an important feature for some travelers, and preferences vary from guest to guest. Many homes and condos on Kauai rely on the island's trade winds rather than air conditioning, and we're pleased that you otherwise enjoyed your stay and the property's location.

Thank you for your feedback. We're pleased you enjoyed the décor, furnishings, and our ground-floor end-unit location on the Great Lawn. For the benefit of future guests, we'd like to clarify a few items. Our VRBO listing accurately states that this condominium does not have air conditioning. Like many units at Kiahuna Plantation, it relies on Kauai's trade winds and ceiling fans, allowing guests to make an informed booking decision. We intentionally do not provide opened food items, including spices and condiments. In Hawaii's tropical climate, these items can attract insects and pests, so we choose to keep the kitchen free of food products between guest stays. To maximize space, some kitchen items are stored in upper cabinets. Three step stools are provided for easy access and are located in the closets. We'll confirm they are in their designated locations before each stay. Our appliances have been replaced within the past three years as part of our ongoing updates. While they are not luxury models, they are regularly replaced and maintained to ensure they are clean and in excellent working order. Thank you for bringing the screen door latch to our attention. We will have maintenance inspect it promptly. If any maintenance issue arises during a stay, guests are encouraged to contact the Outrigger on-site maintenance team for prompt assistance. We strive to provide an accurate listing and a comfortable, well-maintained vacation experience for every guest.

I’m sorry to hear about the cleanliness issue you experienced. I wish you had contacted me or the Castle office during your stay so we could have addressed it right away. I’ve been in touch with Castle, and they will be conducting a deep cleaning of the unit, including steam cleaning the floors. I have also asked them to perform a thorough inspection between guests to ensure this does not happen again. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again.
