I’ve been in touch with Castle, and they will be conducting a deep cleaning of the unit, including steam cleaning the floors. For the benefit of future guests, we'd like to clarify a few items. Our VRBO listing accurately states that this condominium does not have air conditioning. Like many units at Kiahuna Plantation, it relies on Kauai's trade winds and ceiling fans, allowing guests to make an informed booking decision. We intentionally do not provide opened food items, including spices and condiments. In Hawaii's tropical climate, these items can attract insects and pests, so we choose to keep the kitchen free of food products between guest stays. To maximize space, some kitchen items are stored in upper cabinets. Three step stools are provided for easy access and are located in the closets. We'll confirm they are in their designated locations before each stay. Our appliances have been replaced within the past three years as part of our ongoing updates. While they are not luxury models, they are regularly replaced and maintained to ensure they are clean and in excellent working order. Thank you for bringing the screen door latch to our attention. We will have maintenance inspect it promptly. If any maintenance issue arises during a stay, guests are encouraged to contact the Outrigger on-site maintenance team for prompt assistance.
