Great location!

Pine Cove 102 was an excellent location! Great beach access and the pool was never crowded. The beach was pretty empty, also. However, the pool was often full of pine needles and bugs. Make sure to bring your own paper products (tissues, TP, etc) and spray cleaner for spills. It was very quiet and peaceful!

We love Pine cove because it is small, private, and the condos are very large. However, Pine Cove #102 had a few issues upon arrival: the ice machine was not working,the garbage disposal was not working, and we could not get the DVD player to work w the remotes. SVP sent someone over quickly and fixed the problems, except for DVD player.

The location is right next to a public access inlet and the beach was super crowded (unexpectedly). The storage locker with chairs and umbrellas was a complete mess - the umbrellas were mostly broken, and the chairs were old and rusty.

With regards to the beach being crowded... we were extremely busy over Memorial day weekend and noticed all beaches experienced heavier than normal traffic. This was the first holiday most felt comfortable being out since the covid pandemic hit over a year ago. Many commented on the volume that was seen not only on our beaches, but also on the island in general. This is not a normal occurrence nor is it an issue guest experience when staying at Pine Cove. We enjoyed our stay

We were given four others to choose from. This was the only building of the four with an elevator, so we picked it.It turned out to be a wonderful decision! Lovely, spacious, clean and well equipped. The resort itself was smaller than we are use to but still had a decent size pool, spa and great access to the beach! Everything inside was fresh, new, comfortable and just lovely.Select Properties were easy to work with.

Stay at Pine Cove

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: In general, we were very pleased with our experience. There was a missing handheld light fixture in the bedroom with double beds, but we managed without it. Whenever there was a problem with the lights, someone immediately came by to fix it. The property was reasonably clean but when I had the maids in to clean during our stay, they did a mediocre job and I had to wipe down after them. We very much liked the location (except it was close to the public beach), appreciated the parking under the building and the lovely pool and hot tub. Owner might want to consider a new mattress pad and new sheets for the bed in master. Over all, a really nice place to stay.

We Love Sanibel & Pine Cove! This unit could use a little Tlc

We had a fabulous time staying in unit at Pine Cove. The location is amazing, the pool and beach access is perfect. We stayed in a much nicer unit in the Sundial on Sanibel last year, but the location of this condo is 1 million times better. The unit itself, though, could use a little TLC but the furniture was comfortable despite being well worn & stained. The walls are scuffed and stained as well, most wall hangings, pillows, decor were askew/disorganized. We had 1 regular pillow on a king size bed (thankfully we brought our own pillows). There was only 1 extra roll of 1 ply toilet paper beyond the half rolls left behind, and 5 total bath towels in the unit. For the price tag we just expected better from the property management company, but we had an amazing time nonetheless, and plan to rent from the same building again, just will do so in a different unit.

Reviewer Comments: WE REALLY LIKED THE CONDO PROPERTY HOWEVER; THEY CAME ON TUESDAY OF OUR STAY AND REMOVED ALL OF THE GRILLS IN ORDER TO REPLACE THE WOOD DECK BY THE POOL. THE CONTRACTOR PROVIDED A GRILL BUT THEY DISCONNECTED THE HEAT TO THE HOT TUB AND POOL. IT WAS HOT DURING THE DAY SO THE POOL WAS VERY NICE. THE POOL WAS ALWAYS VERY CLEAN. THE COMPLEX WAS VERY NICE AND THE BEACH WAS CLOSE. I BOOKED IT AGAIN FOR NEXT YEAR.

Verbesserungswürdig: Lage

The condo was great but the beach not so much. The path was overgrown to many rules

This is not kid friendly as the pool closes at dusk, no pool toys allowed, no drinks or food at the pool. The beach access was overgrown and the beach itself wasn’t nice. Adults took over the 3 ft area leaving a 3 and 4 year old floating in 6ft area just to be in the pool. The entire property is smoke free so we had to leave or walk to the street to smoke. Rather than just be at the condo with multiple rules we would leave and pay for parking at other locations. This is a great place for older folks but not for a family with kids. Each morning the place filled with contractors, maintenance for the pool and shower and painters. So saws, grinders and extension cords spread across the lot daily. Makes for a long night when the kids want to enjoy a pool at night but it’s closed at dusk! Honestly, this should have been a dream location and vacation instead turned into over $200 in additional parking just to enjoy a beach!

Better places to stay on the island

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit itself was nice, but there are better places to stay. This property does not have games on the beach (volleyball, bags, etc), the hot tub had to be fixed twice during our stay, 2 of our 6 days the property had extremely loud maintenance. So lots I took video, and my Mother had to leave the pool area. I was embarrassed. Rental company was decent about it but said “it’s Aug, this is when this happens”. Would have been nice to k is ahead of time so we could have found another property. I wouldn’t recommend.

The master shower was a definite bonus. The pool area and the grounds were nicely maintained. The view was great even on the first floor. Not super private when on the patio but overall very peaceful. The Beach is amazing and was easy to access and a short walk. There were chairs, towels and beach toys for us to use. Would definitely like to come back!

General supplies should be stocked

What a great condo! My only complaint is that I think they should supply more than one roll of toilet paper per bathroom. It was just a little annoying to have to go by eight rolls of paper when we only needed one. But honestly that’s my only complaint. This place is incredible!
