Das 2400 Quadratmeter große Haus in Palmetto Dunes Plantation bietet Platz für 1 bis 10 Gäste und verfügt über 4 Schlafzimmer, die jeweils über ein komplettes Badezimmer verfügen. Die Schlafzimmer haben zwei Zimmer mit Kingsize-Betten, ein Zimmer mit einem Queensize-Bett und ein Zimmer mit extra langen Einzelbetten. Es gibt zwei Gemeinschaftsräume (Wohn- und Familienzimmer). Das Familienzimmer verfügt über einen Kamin und ein Queensize-Schlafsofa und öffnet sich zur Küche. Die Schlafzimmer, Familien- und Wohnzimmer verfügen alle über einen Fernseher. Die Küche ist neu mit Geräten aus Edelstahl, Granit-Theke / Frühstücksbar. Der Speisesaal hat einen 8-Fuß-Tisch für große Versammlungen. Eine Waschmaschine und ein Trockner stehen ebenfalls zur Verfügung. Das Außendeck hat einen Tisch und 6 Stühle und zusätzlich eingebaute Sitzbänke. Wir bieten einen Gasgrill und Raucher im Freien, einen privaten beheizten Pool und ein Spa. Wir haben eine Anlegestelle für das 11 Meilen lange künstliche Lagunensystem, das zweitgrößte in den USA. Dies ist ein perfekter Ort zum Angeln, Kajakfahren oder einfach zum Genießen der Vögel.

Wir setzen Island Getaway ein, um Ihnen einen schnellen und schlüsselfertigen Support zu bieten, damit Ihr Aufenthalt angenehm wird! Kurz nach Abschluss Ihrer Buchung erhalten Sie Zugriff auf den Schlüsselcode, einen Zugangscode und einen Zeitplan für unsere wöchentliche Wartung (Poolservice, Abfallentsorgung). Great place to spend the winter (and I’m sure other times of the year too!) Kitchen was definitely one of my favorite places- spacious and well stocked. Pool, hot tub, lagoon and yard were all pluses. Would definitely stay there again!

Relaxing during pandemic

Most relaxing place to take vacation, dock for fishing, pool for swimming, plenty of room inside for a large group or family. Bike paths, quiet neighborhood and close to beach, shopping and restaurants and any activity you would to engage in.

The kitchen is by far the most well stocked kitchen of a VRBO I have ever stayed at. You will not need a thing! The rest of the house was great as well, very conducive layout for our family of 8! Shout out to the pool as well, it was the perfect size.

Perfect House and Location

We loved our stay! The house was the perfect layout for adults and kids. Everyone loved having their own bathroom. The extra pool and beach supplies were great. We had a blast riding our bikes around Palmetto Dunes, to the beach, and to Shelter Cove. The area is beautiful! The pool and dock were a big hit. When we weren’t at the beach we were in the pool. Can’t wait to come back!

Dungeons & Dragons Beach Trip

What a great house for my week long Dungeons & Dragons Beach trip. House was perfect for our group and the neighborhood and island are of course amazing. The hot tub can be tricky, but both it and the pool were great. Prepare yourself for war with the bugs, but it's July on an island. Looking forward to coming back!

Great Stay

We had a wonderful week staying here! The layout of the home was perfect for our group (me and my husband, our 2 daughters, my parents and my brother)- 4 bedrooms, each with its own bath. The pool had a hot tub that could be heated and was perfect when we had a rainy/cloudy day. It’s on a very quiet street and a short bike ride to the beach. The owner was very quick to reply to any messages or questions I had although I did message the property management group while staying and they never replied.

Loved this house and location. Property Manager was super responsive. 5 inches of rain on arrival day contributed to flooding in the area. Pool was supposed to be cleaned on Sat but they could not do that. I called on Tues to ask them to come clean it and she had them out the next day. This house is laid out nicely and the all the bedrooms are a good size. Beds are comfortable. There are 2 living areas so you are not cramped. Beautiful neighborhood. Bike path at end of street (5 houses up). Beach about .6 of a mile away on the bike path. Paved beach access. Lots of amenities at this house. Kitchen was the most well stocked kitchen ever for a rental. You can rent a bike with a pull behind cart so you can carry your beach stuff. There is a shuttle run by Palmetto Dunes which will pick you up at your house free and take you various locations. I was skeptical about going to Hilton Head because we always go to Emerald Isle. I would come back and I would definitely stay here again!

5* Family Beach Vacation

A rental unit with comfortable beds (shocking, I know!). All the right amenities in the right places. Quiet street on a quiet lagoon in a gorgeous secluded and private area. Pool was professionally cleaned before check in and mid week. Grounds were well maintained and the trash removal was never seen but it happened silently. Multiple beach access nearby, gorgeous beach too with options to eat on the dunes. Can’t really say enough good about the location for a family with young kids. They all had their own rooms with connected TVs, bathrooms, etc. I’ve probably set the bar too high going forward for myself as the family thinks this is the norm!

This year was the first time that we were able to have all of our kids and grandkids together for a beach vacation. Our accommodations were perfect for what we needed. The house was great. It had the space that we needed for 10 people with plenty of room. The beds were as comfortable as being in our own beds. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you could possibly need to fix any meal. The outdoor area with the pool was awesome and we spent many hours in the pool. My grandkids enjoyed fishing in the canal and we all enjoyed being able to kayak. Communication to and from Marilyn was awesome. I would recommend this property to anyone and as schedules permit, we will stay here again. Thank you Marilyn for allowing us to stay in your home and for making it a great experience.

Friends retreat

Overall we enjoyed our stay on Hilton Head and in the house in particular. The pool was the perfect retreat from the heat and humidity. The outdoor spaces were used for breakfasts lunches that we made in the spacious and well stocked and updated kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of extra pillows and blankets if we had needed them. The location of the house within Hilton Head was great. We did drive to the beach parking lot but we found plenty of parking and convenient for unloading our gear. The negatives on this property are that it is in need of updating and a good cleaning. We found many broken/cracked floor tiles, mold in the bathrooms and around the vents, dirty area rugs and fixtures. We didn’t let these things stop us from enjoying each other or our time on Hilton Head.

Beautiful getaway!

Pros - The property and community were beautiful and we enjoyed the close proximity to not only restaurants in the community but outside the community as well. The 4 bedrooms with their own bath was a huge plus with different family members present and the beds were all very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the pool and hot tub were great! Access to the property was easy and the elevator was is a huge plus for elderly guests. Cons- We had to drive to The Island Getaway company to get our guest passes and elevator key after already driving 11 hours. The house was not cleaned very well. There was food under the couch, spiderwebs (that looked very old and big ) in vault ceilings, clumps of hair on the bedroom carpet, dirty dishes in the cupboards and the elevator had a musty odor. There was a moisture collector in the elevator but it was very full. With all of that being said, other than the cleaning issue it was a very nice property and we enjoyed our vacation at this property.

Great Stay!

We loved our stay at Palmetto Dunes and would definitely return. We were two families with children ranging from 3 years old to 16 years old. There was something for everyone! The house has a great layout for two families and was clean and well-stocked. You may need to rent or bring some beach equipment. Highly recommend renting or bringing bikes. The beach access is walkable, but not for small children or if you are bringing chairs, cooler, tent, etc. We often drove to a beach access point and dropped off the kids/equipment and then rode a bike back. There is no parking at the nearest beach access points. In the evenings, the kids could ride bikes to the beach (even the 3 year old) with what we were able to carry on our backs. Palmetto Dunes has a great bike rental spot that will drop off and pick up the bikes for you. They also rent bikes with baskets and trailers. We caught pinfish bobber fishing from the dock with frozen shrimp and the kids loved it! We saw two baby gators and a blue heron that frequented the property. The pool was a great reprieve from the beach. The house is centrally located and not far from amenities and Palmetto Dunes is in the middle of it all. Overall, it was a fantastic stay in HHI!

Good house set up, needs a good cleaning and updates

House set up is great, 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms was perfect for our family. We had two couples each in the king rooms, 2 boys sharing 1 king room and 1 other person in the queen room. The house needs a good cleaning and some updates. The kitchen could use a decluttering, new knives. The king bedroom near the kitchen has a broken pocket door. Instead of repairing the pocket door they installed a barn style track door that doesn’t lock. This was irritating for me since I couldn’t lock the door. Pool and hot tub were very good to have during the humid July weather. It did have cracks and wear. We used the hot tub on a cooler over cast day which was nice. Dock was nice to fish off of or just sit at in the morning. Overall, The house was NOT cleaned well. We found toys, balloons, cookies and snacks in chairs, behind chairs, in closets. It was obvious the guests before us had a birthday party. We cleaned, what looked like spit up off of a loveseat before we would sit down on it. The kitchen pans were not clean, one pan still had eggs all over it. The microwave is disgusting - I couldn’t even use it. The trash outside in the bins were filled when we got there. It looked like two families worth of trash. Now it has our trash over flowing it. They have a note that says to call if trash is full, we did and they said they’d come Tuesday …we left Saturday and they still hadn’t picked up the trash. I had been in touch with the owners and she said she called them as well.

Best Family vacation/ reunion/ 50th (51st) Anniversary

We booked this unit in the Fall of 2019 for our 50th but alas, we postponed it until our 51st due to Covid. We rebooked with Marilyn and she was a gem throughout the process. The house exceeded our loftiest expectations. We had 9 people, 6 adults and granddaughters 15, 11 ,and 8. The 4 suites were perfect for three married couples and the 15 year old who had her own queen , the 2 sisters 11 and 8 fit perfectly in the huge closet between 2 of them on an air mattress we brought and a thick foam mattress. The kitchen and sitting area provided a small open concept breakfast area and the large living room was perfect for games and larger conversations. The huge porch overlooked the pool, there were very imaginable pool toy andchairj, we actually added to that by living a couple of noodles and beach folding chair. The garage below ran the entire length of the house for storing bikes which we had delivered for the week from Cocoanuts. Don't bother bringing beach chairs , boogie boards or a wagon for transporting to the beach. One beach umbrella but I'd suggest bringing a 10 by 10 tent or a new shade device called a Shibumi ( google it, $200). Spent endless hours in the pool. Beach just a short walk away, we opted to drop off wagon and 2-3 people at beach access point or a really good option is to go before 10 am and park at the Dunes House and use bikes for the other people , plenty of bike racks there. We did one lunch at the Dunes House, great. Kitchen fully equipped, you'll need nothing from home, been to dozens of Vrbo's and none is better. We ate all but one meal in 7 days at home: Covid made reservations impossible to get with 2-3 hour wait times. Foods better and cheaper at your own kitchen, plus easier to converse and bond with family. No cell phone rule applied. Shop Kroger, close and convient. House spotless, Island Getaways rental service responded to several minor fix ups. Elevation does not work, Ruku TV's useless, previous renters had erased the WIFI password, and only by guile did we discover using the default password on the router. So it was perfect. Can't say anything else.

David, I’m glad you were able to enjoy your 51st at our home and that your stay worked out for your family. I’m sorry the Roku was an issue for you. We installed Roku’s on our TVs as most people use smart TVs to stream services they prefer other than standard spectrum cable. We have had our elevator inspected and what was discovered is that guests using it are not closing the inside door until it clicks. That prevents the elevator door from opening. We are adding that information to Island Getaway so they can update guests using the elevator.

Wonderful family stay!

This is a great family-sized rental with all the comforts of home and it’s pet friendly too! Our 3 generations plus small dog had a wonderful, relaxing getaway. The kitchen is well stocked - we had everything we needed for an entire Thanksgiving meal. There is also an elevator from the garage into the house and the house is all one level, which makes it accessible for folks who cannot climb stairs. The front porch and dock are great places for morning coffee or bird watching. The neighborhood is quiet, bike and walk friendly. The heated pool and spa are luxuries in the colder season! All of Palmetto Dunes is fun to explore by bike and beach access is a short bike or car ride away.

Summer vacation

Our family of 10 and 1 dog stayed here for a week. We enjoyed the pool and location. We rented bikes and visited the beach. The kids enjoyed the General Store. The owner was very communicative and we would stay here again. Thank you!

Lots of room for our family of 5 adults

Beautiful neighborhood and home. Our family of 5 had plenty of space and loved having 4 bedrooms and 4 full baths. Pool and hot tub are awesome. Could use a few updates/refreshes but we would definitely stay here again. Location is close to most everything we planned to do and home is on a nice, quiet street.
