THE LOCAL AREA:
The property is situated on a residential road in Southbourne, just a short walk to the coast, offering miles of sandy beaches. Tuckton, also just a short walk away, offers a variety of restaurants, takeaways and convenience stores. The Riverside Restaurant, with its picturesque views over the River Stour, is a great spot for dining. Next to Tuckton is Wick and Tuckton Tea Gardens, which offer crazy golf, a play park for children, a tea room and riverboat hire. Ferries run regularly from here to Christchurch Quay, where you can enjoy a riverside park, a cafe, the Boathouse Restaurant, a bandstand and an exciting water play park with interactive features, jets, sprays and a paddling pool. From the Quay, the Vintage Ferry operates during the summer months (weather permitting), providing trips to Wick, Mudeford Sandbank and Hengistbury Head. Hengistbury Head nature reserve, within walking distance, offers a range of outdoor activities, including scenic walks and cycling. The famous Noddy Train provides easy access to Mudeford Beach.
