Watauga River Cabins-Sycamore-Hütte

Diese Hütte (Sycamore Cabin) ist Teil unserer "rustikalen Lodge". Unsere 'rustikale Lodge' liegt am Ufer des wunderschönen Watauga River, auf halbem Weg zwischen Johnson City und Elizabethton. Die Lodge wurde so entworfen, dass sie einer Pferdescheune ähnelt. Sie befindet sich auf einem 5 Hektar großen Gelände mit einer Flussfront von über 600 Fuß und besteht aus 3 Hütten.

Die Sycamore-Hütte im Erdgeschoss verfügt über mehr als 800 Quadratmeter Wohnfläche. Die Kabine hat ein französisches Bett und Vollbad im Erdgeschoss. Im Dachgeschoss gibt es ein französisches Bett, drei Einzelbetten und eine halbe Badewanne.

Alle Bettwäsche sind inbegriffen - alles was Sie tun müssen, ist etwas zu essen und Ihre persönlichen Sachen mitzubringen - alle anderen Sachen werden für Sie bereitgestellt! Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet mit Geschirr, Kochgeschirr, Toaster, Kaffeemaschine und Mikrowelle.

Die Kabine verfügt über Heizung / Klimaanlage, Deckenventilator, Flachbild-Sat-TV (Direkt-TV ist Anbieter), DVD / VCR, zentrale Wäscherei und Gasgrill.

Es gibt auch ein voll angeschlossenes Wohnmobil-Pad mit 50-Ampere-Betrieb am Fluss. (Aufpreis) Das Wohnmobil-Grundstück verfügt über eine private Terrasse mit Blick auf den Fluss.

Sehr praktisch für Johnson City und Elizabethton (10 Minuten) sowie Roan Mountain, Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain und Hawksnest Ski Resorts (45-60 Minuten). Unmittelbar neben der Lodge befindet sich der Watauga River, der etwa 100 Fuß breit ist und einige der besten Forellenfischer im Osten der USA beheimatet. Forellenarten im Watauga River sind Rainbow, Brook und Brown sowie verschiedene Arten von Bässen und verschiedene Nicht-Wildarten. Dieser untere Teil der Watauga wurde als "Quality Trout Zone" ausgewiesen.

Best Family Vacation

We have stayed here twice. This time we decided to bring a few family members with us. My daughter lives in the area. Perfect family getaway

This is about the 8th time that we have stayed on this property. We always stay with many family members and we appreciate that the “campus” can house all of us. We love that we can make our own meals, eat them all together and also play on the property (we had some heated wiggle ball games going) and fish and relax with the river backdrop. The place holds many dear memories for us. This time we had 13 of us staying with 4 extended family join us each day for food and fellowship.

Beautiful Property

Weekend retreat

We have been coming to Johnson City and staying at these cabins for years. We have stayed in every unit depending on the size needs for that trip. No matter what, the view is just the best! Sitting in a rocking chair listening to the river is just so peaceful.If there is ever an issue, you get immediate response.

Beautiful Mountain Weekend w Friends!

Gary & Patti's cabin was perfect for a group of 4 friends. We went on a fly fishing trip on the South Holston river, and it was close enough to get an early start on the day. The cabin itself is great. Plenty of room and Wifi/streaming worked well. We used the grill and the fire pit a lot. It was secluded with plenty of fun amenities. Would highly recommend if you want an outdoor stay with modern amenities! Property manager, Phil, was great :)

Another day in Paradise

We have stayed at the Wautauga River Cabins several times. We refer to it as our home away from home. I can not say enough good things about this place. The property owners Patti and Gary are always there to answer questions and to keep you informed of things of importance with the cabin or with fishing the river. The property managers Phil and Alesa are always to there to assist with any needs that may arise. You can just mention that something would be nice and then the next time you go it is there. We consider them family now. This last time we wanted to bless them with a cookout because they had to deal with no electricity and lots of river cleanup after the Helene storm. But when they came they blessed us with a desert that was absolutely delicious. They are such nice people. If you should have an issue, they are always there to get it fixed in a timely manner. The cabins are always clean and the property is always tidy. The fall and holiday decor is a nice touch. We are so thankful that the rising waters didn’t harm these beautiful cabins. Were already thinking about when we will be able to return for our next get away.

I own a retirement mobile home park in Florida and my wife is a Biology teacher.

The river property came into my mother’s family in the 1890’s. My great grandfather built the family homestead. In 1901 (pre-dam) a flood came and damaged the home. With mules and logs they moved the 3,000 square foot, 2 story home across the creek and placed it on higher ground. Before the dam was built in the mid 1940’s, the river would sometimes look like a creek, at other times it would rise and come out its 50 foot banks. In the winter, the river would freeze and my great grandparents would cut squares of ice from the river and bury it in their home for later use. Before the bridge, there was a natural shelf that allowed the horse and buggies to cross the river in front of the cabins.

The ground was farmed until I received it in 2003. My mother was raised on the property, until she married my father in 1947 and moved to Florida. We vacationed here every year, so I have always loved this place. I wanted a place of my own but hated the idea of having it sit empty most of the time. I am in the rental business in Florida so I decided to build something that could be rented when we are not able to be here. At that time, there were no buildings on the property so I was able to start from scratch. I really like the character of horse barns and thought, why not build one that could house people. So, in 2004, we built the cabins and it has been a great adventure! This past winter, we completed our retirement cabin. The cabin has three bedrooms, three baths, and an apartment on the lower level.
