Tides Reach

We have stayed at this cottage on previous occasions. It is just a short walk to the beach, paddling pool/crazy golf for children etc, close to lovely cafes and a only a short walk into Deal. Quiet area and the parking was always available on North Barrack Road.

Lovely accommodation

We had a lovely week at Tides Reach. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The location wad ideal and it was nice to be tucked away so very quiet in the evening, The small back garden was lovely and got the sun in the morning but had enough shade when needed. It’s easy to walk into Deal and very close to the beach and Walmer Green. We love Deal and have been a few times now and have used Keepers Cottages. They have a great range of dog friendly properties and they have all been excellent.

A good stay

The cottage was convenient for the sites, shops and coast and we had no problem in parking the car very close to the house. We appreciated the tea and coffee here but a a welcome pint of milk would have been the cherry on the icing on the cake. Howe2ver, all in all Tides Reach is comfortable and convenient.

Most enjoyable something for all.

Tides cottage was perfect. Everything needed was there plus some little extras. Clean and tidy perfect for us as a family. Parking was never an issue with just a short walk down some steps to the house. Centrally situated for all the places we wanted to visit- even the teens found something to do. to visit.

history tour

An ideal place to stay for us. Two castles within walking distance with Dover Castle and Canterbury cathedral within easy driving distance. Loved the sea front coastal path just up the road. Nice and quiet at night but not a ace to stay if you have mobility problems. Lots of choice for food outlets nearby. Good week.

An enjoyable weekend

We had a good time visiting Deal Saturday market, shops in Deal, walking by the sea, visiting Walmer castle and listening to the band at the bandstand on Sunday afternoon. The property is reached at the end of a small side road down steps from North Barrack Road, and parking was no problem. The property is clean and comfortable.

Great location . Good sized property with everything you need for a comfortable stay . Only problem is smell in the living room . It is a foisty musty smell . Think the property has a damp problem which needs fixing.

Great location, very quiet with no passing traffic and yet very close to the beach and all the restaurants, pubs, shops and other attractions of Deal and Walmer. We have stayed in many properties over the years managed by Camilla and her team at Keepers Cottages and we have always received exemplary, personal customer service. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

A well kept homey cottage close to the seashore

A lovely spot close to the sea and a 10 - 15 minute walk into the main drag of Deal. Clean, comfy, homey and well equipped. Be aware there are several uneven steps from the roadside parking to the street where the cottage is located. Also, I notified Keepers Cottages that there needs to be more information in the flat regarding the working of the various appliances, heating etc. It took me a while and a phone call to figure some things out as I am from Canada. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Highly recommend.

Great place to feel at home

The cornercottage is well equipped. Big kitchen, livingroom with big tvscreen, two good size bedrooms, washingmachine. Also a terrace to have a coffee in the sun. We loved it! The sea and busstop are near. Main shops in walkingdistance. Deal has a nice old centre a you can have a long walk along the pebble beach.

Needs a good clean

Arrived at the property, there was a wire across the kitchen to living room floor that is a trip hazard ( this needs fixing) but shouldn't really be there, around the sofa and underneath is very dirty and hasn't been cleaned in a long time, the kitchen utensils and pans had to be cleaned before using them, the microwave was disgusting when opened, the location was perfect and was able to park near most of the time

A Welcome Break

We made a very last minute decision to take a weeks holiday. There was a storm forecast but Kent looked to be avoiding the worst of it so we decided to head for somewhere along the coast, waiting for the very last forecast before making our final decision. After a quick internet search we found Tides Reach and thought it would suit our needs. We weren’t wrong ! I phoned Keeper Cottages on the Thursday to make a booking for the next day, this was a requirement as you cannot book at such short notice online. The booking was seamless and everyone I dealt with was extremely nice and helpful. They even emailed me with a local weather update so we could be prepared. The cottage itself was in a great location, very quiet but with in easy reach of the town which has plenty of choice for eating and drinking, and for public transport links to other areas. There was no issue with the on road parking. Tides Read has basically everything you require for your break, and is comfortable and clean. Deal and the surrounding area has so much to offer. We had been to the area before so we had already visited the castles of Deal, Walmer and Dover. This time was mainly walking along the coast and on various trails. We got the train to Dover and walked the coastal path back, taking in the Fan Bay Deep Shelter. Very interesting. We also walked Sandwich coastal path to Ramsgate ( the tunnels tour there is also to be recommended , done on our previous visit). We returned to Sandwich to do a self guided history walk. We will certainly return to Kent in the future and would have no hesitation in booking Tides Reach.
