Excellent Stay

We had a lovely stay and only wish that we could have stayed longer. Communication was easy and clear, the cottage was clean and had everything we needed, and the location was excellent. We would definitely stay again.

A lovely stay

A lovely little collage in a quiet location. Equipped with most things we needed, but there were some little touches that needed attention , like batteries not being in the torches and grouting in the ensuite bathroom needing a little bit of love. If somebody went in with touchup paint it would be a very easy way to get five stars instead of four for that. The odd windowsill could’ve used a wipe, but anything you were going to touch was sparklingly clean. Lovely bed linens. Everything was extremely comfortable and thought out. I would definitely go back.

Perfect location and fabulous cottage

Perfect location opposite castle entrance, and short walk into Winchcombe. We arrived in time for Christmas festival and the magical lights at the castle. Comfortable cottage with everything we needed for a wonderful weekend. Definitely recommend.

Perfect location for our family wedding held at Sudeley Castle or exploring the local area. Ample parking and nice grounds. Very quiet location, but easy walking distance into Winchcomb.

Comfortable house - great weekend away

The large cottage is perfect for a family group or group of friends. It's very comfortable and well equipped, very well located for visiting the castle and if you are mobile quite easy to walk through the castle grounds into Winchcome. We had a great weekend and will certainly come back.

Excellent holiday cottage

Our fourth stay in this delightful cottage and we noticed that the thistles had been cleared in the garden and the back garden was in a much better state than in July: we love this cottage and definitely hope to stay again. The kitchen is very well appointed too which helps for catering!

Excellent retreat but close for anythung

Excellent spot we have used for the 2nd year running as a base for the races. Comfy and spacious, and only a short walk up into the town if anything is needed. Will no doubt be looking to rebook again next year

Perfect Stay

Everything about the cottage was dreamy. I grew up in Winchcombe and my Mum still lives there but I needed a bigger place to house my friends for my birthday and we loved every minute of it. Stylish, cosy, clean and perfect for visiting the castle and going on walks.

Lovely holiday

The cottage is set in a perfect location for visiting various parts of the cotswolds and Sudeley Castle was a great day out, and right on the doorstep. The cottage overall is impressive in stature and was very comfortable and well equipped. However, we were disappointed with the cobwebs on ceilings, behind all the radiators and in the fireplaces , basic dusting should really be a given. The bathrooms are tired and need a new lick of paint and the grouting in the en-suite definitely needs replacing as it is mouldy. That said, the beds were extremely comfortable, lots of storage and hangers provided and plenty of soft fluffy towels and toiletries were also provided. I just feel for a top end property the above-mentioned concerns should be addressed. Also, please provide cushions/seat pads for the outdoor chairs as there was only one. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and will definitely return as it really is a beautiful location and was lovely to observe the deer, pheasants, squirrels and birds in the garden. Whilst we appreciate it is a traditional cottage (the reason we booked it) I feel it needs a little tlc in the bathrooms and dusting department.

We absolutely loved our stay, beautiful home and location. Access to Sudeley Castle was a great perk. The kitchen was well stocked and comfortable. The bedrooms too. The furniture in the living room is worn and uncomfortable. Recommend updating that. Also the automatic light in the master bath was a bit jarring in the middle of the night. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back it use Bolthole for future stays in different locations. I already recommended to a friend starting in they area this summer.

Great cottage in a fabulous location

Lovely Cotswold Cottage right opposite the entrance to Sudeley Castle. Easy walk into Winchcombe, which has a number of bars and some very good restaurants. Highly recommend. It isn't quite "in the castle grounds", but you couldn't get closer.

Sudeley Cottage - a delightful stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Sudeley Cottage. What a beautiful location and we even saw a pheasant, deer and hares in the garden. The house was cosy. It was a wee bit chilly but the room heaters helped warm up the bedrooms. I could have spent a week there! Thank you very much.

Lovely cottage, brilliant location

Lovely old cottage, huge gardens. with lots of wildlife, including being serenaded at night by owls. Brilliant location, right opposite entrance to Sudeley castle. Ideal for visiting the beautiful Christmas illuminations. Cottage photos need updating as the living room didn't have a carpet & the fire had been removed.Heating very warm downstairs & the hot water was very hot. Lovely kitchen well equipped.

Absolutely beautiful property

Sudeley guest cottage was just amazing. It was very comfortable and clean and a lovely little welcome package. We were so disappointed that our stay was cut short because of the Red Alert in Edinburgh and could only stay overnight. We had planned to stay 2 nights and explore the Cotswolds. If we are ever back we would definitely stay here and highly recommend the property

A Special Place

Despite disappointing weather we had a wonderful time in a magical location. The house is very comfortable and well equipped . Endless walking routes nearby and a village that provides everything you need. Highly recommend the Lion Inn and the Winchcombe Indian restaurant . Sudeley Castle is a bonus , together with the beautiful gardens.

Birthday weekend at Sudeley

Beautiful cottage, we didn’t want to leave. Will be back! Not very often you can comfortably fit x6 adults in a house and still have space. Beyond cosy in the winter.

We loved the proximity to the castle; you could walk there in 5 minutes. The house was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The host provided tea, coffee and biscuits to welcome us on our arrival, and some milk in the refrigerator, which was very thoughtful.Negatives were to do with the technology that was supposed to be helpful but was not so much - the map app we were advised to download did not work, for any in our party of three, so finding the place took a bit longer than it might have. Also the online portal with supposed useful guides to the area, was a bit generalized, so not that helpful, and we could not find the wife info. But we found our way around easily once we found the printed guide with the wifi password, and were able to access the internet. We would definitely recommend the Sudeleu Castle Guest Cottage.
