Amazing views and location.

I have just returned from a fabulous time in London with my Husband, 5 year and 8 month old son’s. Staying in Gerry’s Apt is what made our 3 day break a huge success. The Apartment is very spacious with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a very well equipped kitchen. The large living dining room has double patio doors onto the large balcony. Where we enjoyed the fantastic views of the river Thames with a well deserved wine at the end of the day once the kids were in bed. I had anticipated it was going to be a struggle with a baby in tow but due to the great location of the Apt it was a breeze. The main attractions are easily reached on foot, but the tube is right down stairs with disabled access. This was a bonus with a pram and luggage for arrival and departure to Euston and the slightly further day trips. Lastly our fantastic host Gerry who was very quick to respond to any queries we had before we went. She also contacted us upon arrival to check everything was to our satisfaction and again once we had returned home. It was the fact this Apt felt like a real home away from home that made visiting the city a breeze with two small children and we would definatley stay again.

Lovely flat. Excellent Location

Our host was terrific; very responsive. The flat was clean and well equipped; prefect for a group of four adults. Ours was a group of six so we utilized the sofa bed. Otherwise, we had plenty of space. The unit is located right on the Thames and the view doesn't disappoint.

The real star here is location. I'd give it 6 stars if I could! We could have walked to most of the central sights, and did to several. The tube station is right downstairs. Westminster and Buckingham Palace are about a mile away. Rental bikes were easy to find and to use and safe enough if one stays in the central district. Taxis and Uber were easily accessible.

In short, we loved our time in London in part because of where we stayed.

Incorrectly advertised

This was listed as a two bedroom flat. It wasn't. It was a one bedroom flat with a bed in a den. Had problem with plumbing. Had a mouse. Only place with a view was in living room with furniture that was falling apart and should have been replaced years ago. Site was basically unknown to taxi drivers. They had to be directed by us, the tourists.

Vermieter-Kommentar: I am totally bewildered by your comments. I am always open to fair criticism as it helps me to learn what guests need and want..but your review reflects nothing of what my apartment is actually like. Hence I need to provide here my response. 1.My apartment is correctly advertised. It has 2 double bedrooms both clearly shown in the photos on the site. It also has a double sofabed in the living area, therefore comfortably sleeps 6 people. At over 960 square feet it is exceptionally large for a Central London apartment. The advert makes perfectly clear the stunning river views of The Houses of Parliament, The London Eye etc are enjoyed from the Living area and the balcony that runs off it. 2.The toilet flush was working when you arrived. Unfortunately it broke during your visit. A maintenance engineer attended the same day. He ordered a new part and fitted it as soon as delivered. All fixed within 48 hours. Thankfully you were able to use the second bathroom in the meantime. 3. Your alleged sighting of a mouse. I telephoned you immediately to give you the option to vacate , with a full refund for the unused nights. I would never expect a guest to stay in such circumstances. Surprisingly you declined my offer and chose to stay. Within 1hour I contacted the Estates Management Team. As a precautionary measure treatments were put down within 3 hours. Thankfully no sightings of any mouse before or since. 4. Whilst I am not accountable for the quality of London's 20,000 taxi drivers..they are reputed as being amongst the best in the world. It is incredible that they would not know where Vauxhall Bridge is nor the iconic M16 building featured in the James Bond movies. The apartment building sits on the former and is next to the latter. That aside, they all have sat navs available so why they would need to take directions from any passenger is beyond me. To conclude. My apartment is accurately advertised. I responded promptly and professionally to every concern you raised during your stay. Other reviews paint a very different picture from that which you put forward and I refer prospective guests there for a fuller and fairer assessment of myself and my apartment. Finally, I really cannot describe how shocked and disappointed I am that anyone would write such an inappropriate review of a perfectly good apartment in an amazing location that numerous guests have enjoyed and appreciated over several years.

Lovely apartment with easy access to tube

Our family of 5 (3 teenagers) were first time travelers to London from the US. We stayed at this location for the entire 8 day trip. The apartment itself was comfortable and the perfect size for the five of us. The kitchen was nice and functional. We were able to do two or three loads of laundry in the washing machine, air-drying them on the provided drying racks. It was great having two bathrooms. The internet connection was fast. It is such a better option than a hotel for our family.

The location was really what made the trip so great. The tube is right outside your door, so it was SO easy to get wherever you needed to go in London. Victoria station was two stops away. St. Pancras/King's Cross was seven stops away and it literally took 12 minutes to get there (we took the Eurostar to Paris for the day). Even with switching from one line to the next, you can easily be anywhere in London in under a half hour.

There is a Pret just downstairs (for Americans - coffee place similar to Starbucks). There is also a small grocery store a block away that has basically everything you need from bakery to produce to pre-made sandwiches to wine/beer. We ate breakfasts at the apartment and often made sandwiches for our site-seeing excursions, so we only ate out once a day.

Gerry was great and very communicative from start to finish. I highly recommend staying here!

Great Location, fabulous views and amazing owner

Our 3 night stay coincided with very bad weather conditions at the end of February but staying in such a lovely apartment compensated for this. Gerry accommodated every need and we found her local knowledge of great benefit as well as her willingness to meet our needs where possible. We would certainly recommend this accommodation

comfortable within easy reach central london

Gerry gave us detailed instructions to find the apartment, and was there to welcome us.

Apartment very comfortable and well equipped. Many of Gerry's belongings making it homely and not like a corporate apartment.

Good view.

5 mins from tube station , shops, bars.

We walked Thames path to Putney which was very interesting.

We cooked in evenings, kitchen has all you need.

2 bathrooms for the 4 of us helpful.

Would stay here again.
