Very dated TV wouldn't work only one TV in the house not great when your taking kids and trying get them in bed at night games room is all broken the TV and dvd doesn't work again very tired old house could be lovely but it's had its day don't bother unless it's a groups on the lash then it doesn't matter but god knows when the pictures got taken the house on the corner is boarded up and it looks like that's been the case for a while also the paint has fell off the house the curtains don't close in the master bedroom overall very poor but that's why it's cheap

Hi Paul- We didn't receive any queries from you about the television which, as tested, still works fine- we've had a booking since your group with no issues reported about it. There is also a 2nd television in the 2nd, children's, sitting room which at 19 inches is smaller but also works fine. If you'd raised this i could have sent the handyman around to take a look (and/or replace it if it wasn't). The house is a Victorian house and, at £501 received for 12 people for 3 nights (£13.90 pp) in a 3 storey, 6 bedroom house at half term is, i would assert, quite a bargain. I would add that we have had numerous bookings through our other provider and all were 5 star reviews. I'm sorry you're* unhappy about your stay- but more so that you didn't give us an opportunity to address any of your issues. As you can imagine, the house on the corner which is under renovation is very much outside of our control. Thanks again for your booking.

Thanks for the review, Gerard. I was only made aware of the faulty bathroom bulb after your stay. We do have a supply of spare bulbs which I could have directed you to, but I'll make sure this is added to the instructions for future guests (thanks). There is no blind in the shower room as it's not an overlooked window and the damp environment could attract mould. Apologies for the missing curtain rail in the main dining room- we're currently waiting for a new large bay window rail to be delivered after the previous blind was damaged by a guest's child. Thanks again for the feedback- we'll get these addressed.

We have also (sadly!) succumbed to replacing the wooden sash windows and these are also being done between guests' stays. Basic but clean, good location

By no means a luxury property and still being updated. However, served our group of 10 well. Good access to beach, co-op around the corner, as well as various eateries, walking distance to town center and other stores. We had a couple of questions while there and host was very responsive.

Brilliant location. Big house. Very clean but the house needs alot of TLC.

Great to find a house large enough to cater for our family and friends for my husbands birthday weekend. The house heeds improving and alot of maintenance needs to be done, like painting, windows don't open in the lounge, back hard would be better slabbed and not gravel, table and benches need updating in back yard.

Fantastic beautiful home for the whole family

This house is fantastic for large families. We had so much room the children loved having their very own space (and so did we) all rooms are simply decorated but still very classy. Everything you need to have a brilliant stay. Its a bit of walk to the pier but we didn't mind, its such a lovely walk. There are shops and bars within a few minutes walk. We enjoyed being to able cook when we wanted and also really enjoyed the nearby takeaway. Would highly recommend we all loved it.

Good value but needs a little TLC

We were a group of 3 families that included 5 adults and 6 children ranging from 6 to 11 years old staying over the new year. Pros Good value for money Large Close enough to town to walk Lots of shops and takeaways within one minute walk Easy parking Owners let us check in early Well equipped kitchen Very nice shower room and separate bathroom Master bedroom was lovely Most of the other bedrooms were in good decorativeC order Cons No curtain in living room We could not get the TV/Sky to work no matter what we did Living room needs to be tidied up as it has a bit of a student house feel No hot water in downstairs toilet One of the metal framed beds collapsed when a guest slept on it so she had to put mattress on the floor In all it was good value for money but it does need a little TLC. We would have paid slightly more if the above issues were addressed. Saying that we would rebook there in future. Thanks

Thanks very much for the review and feedback, Michael. I came up the weekend after you and put up a new curtain rail for the living room (that the previous guests accidentally pulled down) and effected a temporary fix on the metal bed (until I return with a replacement). Not sure why you didn't have the tv working- it was recently replaced and I had it working straight away on Sky, the firestick and the dvd player. Some of the hdmi cables had been unplugged- not sure if that was the issue. Would have been happy to talk through solving it if you'd called at the time. The cloakroom toilet downstairs is not fitted with a hot water supply, which is quite common in cloakroom toilets in houses such as this where there are also other bathrooms. We'd love for you to stay again for an improved experience next time!

Very disappointed - didn’t stay

I chose this house for its close proximity to the town and beach, of course price was a factor but not without checking the reviews, as I always do - I don’t think I have unreasonably high expectations, I have rented many properties small and large, uk and abroad, and always prioritise cleanliness over plush. As soon as we pulled up my heart sank, the front hedge was very overgrown, you couldn’t see the bay window, the curtain in the upstairs bedroom as hanging off the rail and the front door was very shabby - still hopeful that the inside would be better - oh dear, the lounge carpet was very dirty as were 2 of the 3 sofa, and I mean REALLY grubby, one sofa was finished off nicely with a split cushion. There was ribbon hanging from the light fitting and the window where someone must have had balloons hung up (the clue that they had been used for balloons was that there was still one blown up at the back of the TV!). We had a one year old with us, no way could we couldn’t have let her crawl on that floor, nor did we feel comfortable to sit on the sofas. A high chair was provided which hadn’t seen a cloth after its last use. We ventured upstairs - better than downstairs, bedding looked clean but not ironed, gaps in floorboards, unsafe looking light fitting, hanging curtain, stained mattress for travel cot. To be fair the bathrooms and kitchen (although tatty) looked to be clean but I don’t think we could get past the state of the lounge so left 2hrs after arriving.

Karen provided a number of photos of things like a ripped cushion, messy cables hidden behind the television and a chipped floorboard. We did not receive any complaints at the time of anything being unclean (the highchair comment will obviously now be passed on). The carpets are extremely clean and are regularly shampooed- i suspect Karen has mistaken one small area of heavy carpet wear with dirt. Attention to detail on items like a tiny piece of ribbon hanging has been passed on to our housekeeper, and the new feedback re. bushes needing cutting back will be addressed immediately. When Karen complained about these items she was offered and given a partial refund as a gesture of goodwill as we take cleanliness and guest feedback very seriously. Karen requested a number of adaptations to the property including installation of new stairgates which were purchased new and fitted by a professional at considerable cost so we were unable to provide a full refund, as Karen has requested. However, all items of feedback have been relayed and the significant majority already completed. We regret that Karen's group were unhappy and left before our housekeeper/handyman could address her concerns.

We had absolute no problems with this accommodation and everything we need for our stay was provided. The living room has three sofas now. The house has the best bathrooms we ever had in the UK. Perfect Holiday Home

Used this property for a mini break to celebrate a milestone birthday and there were 5 family groups using the property. It was amazing. There was plenty of spacious bedrooms and we used the kids sitting room as an extra bedroom. The accommodation was lovely and well kept, the location was a 2 minute walk to the shops, the beach front, the local theatre/music venue and the park. It was everything you could need for a lovely family getaway. Hoping to stay again!

Large house perfect for get togethers!

We stayed for a weekend to celebrate my father in laws 80th birthday. Everything we needed was there. The courtyard back garden was popular with all ages. Ages ranged from less than 1yr old upto 80. The house is situated perfectly for the beach and local shops. Lovely little coffee shop just 1 minute walk away. Just around the corner was a local park which was popular with all the children after tea. Plenty of on street parking close to the house. Great communication with the host Ben prior to arrival. family holiday in lovely North Wales.

An excellently situated house close to shops, cafes, restaurants and all the amenities of the beautiful resort of Llandudno.The house is a lovely spacious home. The dining room is a little shabby and the kitchen quite small but well supplied with all the equipment you might need.The bedrooms are all spacious and characterful.All in all our group of 15 ranging from 9 months to 67 years had a great time.

Thanks, Gillian, for your booking and your feedback. As you may have seen we are mid way through a redecoration programme currently and the dining room is yet to be completed so this is helpful. I'll assess that room as a priority.

Disappointing

Greeted by box of rubbish with flies at front door. Fusty smell when entering property. Absence of floor coverings in bedrooms. Curtains not hung properly in 2 bedrooms. First floor rear bedroom only has one small chest of drawers of which one does not open. Electric wall points in that bedroom and dining room are dangerous. Notice stating fines for recycling will be deducted from damage deposit is not legal. A condition like this would have to be declared when customer is booking so they have an option not to book. There was a mop and bucket left in the dining room. No places to hang clothes in bedrooms. Plenty of space for a large group but let down by interior and taking everything into account the amount paid for this accommodation was too much.

Hi Margaret- I'm very sorry that your stay was a disappointing one...certainly we pride ourselves on the cleanliness of the house and it seems circumstances on this occasion were simply not good enough. New blinds were installed during this period so apologies that it was during your stay that they were reported as broken. As we were unaware of the curtain issues until afterwards we acted once we knew. The bin issue is a difficult one- Frustratingly, Conwy council only collect the large wheelie bins every 4 weeks so during the summer i have driven up several times to collect excess refuse. I will again feed back your comments again on this point. We have had an electrical review and these points weren't highlighted but I will check and secure these immediately. Regarding recyling we are very clear about the requirements imposed by Conwy council in the property description and in the 3 documents sent at the point of booking, at which point if you had taken exception (although I'm not sure on what basis-?) you could raised that at the time and received a full refund. Regarding hanging space- that's the first time we've had this feedback. We do have hanging wardrobes in all bedrooms except the smaller bunkbed rooms. As for price we are confident that we are extremely competitive when compared with similar sized properties in the area.

Thanks for the feedback, Carol- We have arranged for our decorator to visit in September as we agree a couple of rooms are now looking slightly tired since the big refurb. The house is having a separate deeper clean next week to ensure your cleaning comment is also addressed.

Perfect holiday place

Me and my friends stayed at the property for the long weekend. House was nice and clean, we enjoyed out stay. House is located in the center of the town and beach is 1min walk from the house.
