Enjoyed our time!

This property was perfect for us over a holiday weekend. We have twin boys who loved walking to and from the beach every morning. They especially enjoyed having their own bedroom. If we are ever in the area again I would return!

Nice place to crash

We enjoyed our stay in Gulfport! The house was great for our stay. We did a lot of running around so pretty much just used the house for sleeping and showering. It had everything we needed. However, just note that beach towels aren’t provided so if you’re going to the beach, make sure to pack some.

Fantastic

Place is really nice and plenty of space for family of at least 4 and could actually Proble sleep 8 in there comfortably. Yard area was nice and just enough space for weekend getaway. All the neighbors was nice and friendly. Walking distance to the beach and easy access to plenty of stores. Really loved listening to the planes flying into the airport at night

Gut: Lage

We never received a message or email for check in instructions or a code to the door and it took awhile to finally receive that which finally happened when the host called me by phone. The house is not in the condition displayed in the listing photos with a broken entertainment center in the living room, broken blinds throughout, and a blind completely missing in the kitchen window making the kitchen unbearable to be in even with the window units on full blast the entire time. Solved that problem using our beach towels. It appeared there were no towels at all on the property, but they were actually in the dryer. The bathroom vanity had several holes in the sink, the larger of which was filled in with caulk the smaller hole in the sink was low enough we were concerned about it running into the vanity and opted to wash our hands in the kitchen most of the time. The handle in the shower was stripped and falling off, and the yard had not been mowed at all. The coarse seed heads in the long stalks of grass were almost knee high on an adult and scratched and irritated everyone’s legs walking to and from the car to the front door. The door lock worked on the first try a handful of times otherwise it had to be keyed in over and over just to get the lock to fully engage when leaving. All in all this place worked for a place to spend a few hours a day winding down and waking up, but this place needs a ton of maintenance to be considered acceptable for a short term rental property.

When we booked this property we thought it was going to go smooth. Book the property 2 weeks in advance. The day of we communicated to the Host that we will show up between 45 minutes to 1 hour after check-in time which is at 4pm. Unfortunately when we had arrived there were boxes all over the property. The front door was wide open and the host vehicle parked in the driveway making us to park on a roadway. When confronting her on what was going on, she stated that she was still cleaning and for us to come back at 7pm. We have traveled quite a ways away and were wanting to settle and rest but we had to find things to fill in the time. We arrived back at the house 6:50pm. She was gone. But failed to provided us the entry access. We called her multiple time and couldn't get ahold of the host. So we ended up being on the phone with customer service for over 2 hours trying to find a place to sleep for the night. Then around 11:35pm the host then texted us without an apology mind you and disclosed that her "phone died". Overall this experience has ruined our trip and we were forced to cut our 1 week vacation down to 1 day because of the lack of communication and professionalism from said host. Very disappointing. If you are looking to book this property HIGHLY ADVISE you keep on scrolling and look for better ones.

Great location for Cruisin the Coast

3 bedrooms and only 1 bath is tough with 2 or more couples. House was very clean, but had several minor maintenance issues. ie: burnt out light bulbs, Broken kitchen cabinet, bath lavetory loose from wall, Tub facets knobs loose had to tighten screws to get water to turn on. Just needs a good handy man to fix thinks up.

Lovely

The stay was lovely. The landlord texted back immediately every time I texted. I will say, it’s better to text the phone number listed. They say in the voicemail it’s easier on them and it seemed to be the perfect way to contact them. Only thing to watch with a little one is the back yard gate doesn’t lock but the landlord has been notified. Overall, the stay was amazing. The house was clean and perfect size for our little family.

Poor property

Terrible curb appear. Door facings rotted. After using washer, the property inside smelled like sewer. Picture depicted it being on the beach, not so. Had to drive to beach. Front storm/screen door would not stay closed. Patio chairs rotted. BBQ grill s rusty and dirty. Bug crawling on my bed Absolutely would not recommend.

Nope!

None of the issues noted multiple times in reviews have been addressed. This could be a really nice property to stay at if the issues were addressed and remedied. NOT high dollar issues! When you walk across the laminate floor barefoot and it turns the bottom of your feet black, there are issues. Oh, and then there is the train track ACROSS THE STREET!! UGH!! My words to prospective renters…RENTERS BEWARE!

Refund

Hello, When I entered the home there was trash by the door and it was clear it was not clean or had been cleaned . I called the contact number and she explained that she was thirty minutes away and was supposed to clean the house . We asked for another potential home which they did not have , instead they explained we would get a refund in 48 hours or less. It has been 48 hours and no refund has came . We had to spend another $400 to stay somewhere else for the weekend. This is extremely unprofessional and will never book with this company again !

the host would not respond to my messages, it was after 10pm before we enter the property.

The property was fine. The glass door would not latch and I was unable to start the gas heaters (I did not know how to use them, so we did without heat). Coffee and laundry soap was provided, which was a bonus. I was told there was a glitch in the system and we were not on the schedule. Note, I had messaged the host 3 days before our trip and prior to our check in time. We had been scheduled and paid in full 1 month prior to our trip. House was not clean, it was late when we were allowed to enter the property and we had to change the bedding and clean on the house. Never heard back from the host with an explanation or apology. I was very disappointed.

Caution

Not recommended. Had to contact Vrbo two times before we were given a an entrance code from the host. Never received instructions on how to close house. While checking in the gas company came to cut off the gas but when told we were renting through VRBO, they agreed to keep the gas on. Messaged host and he apologized and said he would call the company. Was advertised with Internet and television. Internet and television did not work and this was necessary for us as this was a business trip. Messaged host and had no response. The house was unclean with sticky floors with Pet hair and the towels were mildewed with hair. Had to wash towels before we could use them. Will NEVER stay here again! Do not rent this house!

Location is awful

I never got the entry code and instructions I had to text the property manager to get the code for entry. When we arrived we had a hard time finding the place. Then when we finally did get into the place the rental wasn’t really nice. It was dark and it was hot. All the rooms had window air conditioning and they looked a bit dirty almost like mold at least it was a dark powder on them. The shower was old and I’m not sure but there was mold on the ceiling of the shower. The kitchen faucet was not fixed on right so every time you moved the spicket it moved. The neighbors had a loud party the first night we were there. The screen door never really closed well. It was a old house and it was a house away from a railroad track. So combined with the loud neighbors the train blew its whistle every time it went by. Very alarming if you’re not used to sleeping next to a railroad. I wasn’t happy with our stay

We arrived at the property after driving from new Orleans with no check-in details arrived at the house hoping to be greeted by the host but none was there to meet us, we had no data as international travellers, luckily we were able to arrange a mobile SIM which allowed to connect to customer service who after a wait of 20 minutes found a door code which allowed entry First impressions don't meet the advertised the grass to the front and back is due a good cut the bathroom still has the same issues as reported previously by other patrons, the smell from the drains in the bathroom is something to behold and the extraction fan is dangerous to use.We were visited by roaches during our stay which you can expect but at least leave some bug spray ( we have left some at the property along with some cleaning chemicals to minimise health issues carried by cockroaches )Carbon dioxide monitor not functional, and no mention of the trains which go through at all hours so don't expect a peaceful nights sleep Choo chooOn the plus side bed was comfy shower works all amenities worked without issue and the beach was a minutes driveThere is so much potential with this property but it is being let down by owners who just don't care people pay good money for a service and product this falls short on all counts. The initial lack of communication unfortunately greatly impaired the enjoyment of our stay in this property.
