Wir heißen Sie herzlich willkommen in den sanften HĂŒgeln des Chianti, der spektakulĂ€rsten und schönsten Gegend Italiens, in der sich das fabelhafte Panzano in Chianti befindet. Auf dem höchsten Punkt befindet sich das spektakulĂ€re Schloss Panzano. Das komfortable und luxuriöse Apartment ist das perfekte Liebesnest. Das Schloss Panzano stammt aus dem 11. Jahrhundert und verfĂŒgt ĂŒber 7 m hohe Decken mit Holzbalken. In diesem erstaunlichen Anwesen ist jedoch jeglicher moderner Luxus vorhanden.
Es besteht aus einer kompletten KĂŒche, in der Sie mit Freunden Ihr Gourmet-Abendessen zubereiten können, mit Platz fĂŒr nicht weniger als 6 Personen, einem sehr großen Wohnzimmer mit 2 Balkonen von Romeo und Julia. Very rustic experience. Loved the balcony, the views and the town. Comfy apartment. Plumbing needs work! Leaky faucets, boiler inconsistencies, oven not working but the charm of the place still won out. Lots of mosquitoes and with the lack of window screens,we were eaten alive at night! This was in mid October. Bring bug spray!Tuscalinda was marvelous. Very helpful.

My husband and I had a wonderful week staying here. It is spacious and comfortable, with the best view from the balcony that you will find. Panzano- Our Happy Place

This was our third time staying in this castle apartment. It’s a lovely little piece of heaven. We love everything about it. The views are simply spectacular! We love the kitchen and prepared several meals while there. The location is great and the town is so very cute. There are great restaurants all around and it’s an easy drive to lots of other little towns, restaurants, and shops and wineries. We like going to the market day in the Piazza and to the Coop for little bits of groceries. It’s all just perfect. Don’t tell many people though
..let them all stay in Florence and Sienna and keep this place our little secret!

Amazing Tuscany Experience

My wife and I stayed here in the castle, in Panzano, in Tuscany, for just 3 days. I was very sad to leave. The property is well maintained but has that rustic castle experience. The views from the balcony are the absolute best. Sunsets from the balcony will be a memory I’ll never forget. Panzano and nearby Greve are all you need for an amazing experience in Tuscany. I hope to visit again!

Fabulous stay in an apartment in a castle!!

We really enjoyed our stay in this castle in Panzano in Chianti! Such a quaint little town and the views from the apartment are amazing! We really enjoyed wine tasting in Volpaia. The girls at Enoteca Baldi were so sweet and really helped us to get oriented. We had enjoyed some snacks and drinks on the terrace at II vinaio. It was open all day which was convenient while we got used to the culture and time change. Michiel and Toscalinda were both very helpful and accommodating. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Stunning views in every direction

Who wouldn't want to spend a few nights in a castle? We had a terrific time and enjoyed the quiet, cool evening breezes, and the views we could see, even from the bathroom window. If you are unable to carry your suitcases up the stairs or have difficulty navigating hills, this property may be a challenge. However, we are in our 70's and we're able to do it. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Under the Tuscan Sky

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the castle apartment in Panzano in Chianti. It was clean, modern - in a well preserved historic way, and in a charming little town in the heart of Chianti. Michiel and his housekeeper were excellent hosts. The unit was well outfitted with everything we needed. Quaint little Ristorantes in town were within walking distance, and the views from the balconies at sunrise and sunset were themselves worth the price of admission. Malto Bravo.

This is one of the best places we've ever stayed at

I can't say enough good things about our stay in Panzano. The castle was everything we could have hoped it would be. It's in the perfect location right in the center of the historical part of town. It's within walking distance to everything. And while we loved going out to visit the local dinner spots, the views were spectacular at the castle that we enjoyed simply cooking and eating in, having our super on the balcony overlooking the view of the hills beyond. Michiel was the perfect host. We kept adding additional days to our stay as we enjoyed it so much and he was excellent with communication and adjustments to our schedule. The next time we are in Tuscany we hope to stay at the castle again!

Beautiful Tuscan Views

The lady that met us at check in was very sweet and informative. The views were stunning. Of course to get those views they are at the top of a hill and up stairs. Be ready to drag your luggage up a steep slope and a flight of stairs if you are lucky enough to be able to park by the castle for a few minutes. Otherwise its even more up hill. It's worth it though!! One of my favorite places in Italy so far!!!

Wonderful,comfortable apartment

Our two-week stay at the apartment was everything we could have hoped for. The rooms are generous-sized, light-filled,comfortably and tastefully furnished. There are two balconies with magnificent views. Unfortunately the walls are high, and the views disappear when one is sitting down. This could easily be corrected by the owner by . replacing the existing furniture with comfortable, high bar chairs and an elevated table. While the location is convenient, it is not suitable for those who have difficulty walking up a steep hill or climbing stairs. Toscalinda contributed to the quality of our stay. It was a treat.

Loved it!

What an amazing place.I felt like I was in the 15th century. I echo what other reviewers have said, so won't repeat, but have just a couple of things to add. There is a very handy city bus to Florence from the main square in Panzano. It cost less than 4 Euro a ticket and got us to the centre of Florence in an hour. Buy your tickets at the bar in the main square, and save the hassle of driving and parking in Florence. Also, we had problems finding the place too. This is what we would add to the directions. Go up the hill to the church. Turn left at the church. Take your first right. (There is a traffic mirror and a couple of road signs there). Go down that street. Just after you pass house number 29 on your left, take a steep right turn up a private driveway. ( Toscalinda told us we could unload our luggage there). Go through the archway and see the courtyard on your right. Number 17 is tucked into the far corner. Once your luggage is unloaded, go back down the drive, turn right, and park along the castle wall on the left side of the road. We loved the restaurants Michiel recommends in his info package and also the two towns he suggested seeing. We would add Castellena as one of our favourites. Finally, take mosquito repellent to spray on your legs and ankles when you are eating at outdoor restaurants and you'll be set. I will recommend this place to my friends. Nit is by far and away the most unique rental I have ever experienced.

Schöne Aussicht auf die Weinberge des Chianti

Die Burg ist restauriert worden und soweit es möglich war ist der Charme der Burg erhalten geblieben. Der Blick war traumhaft. Der Vermieter hat uns noch tolle Informationen fĂŒr Essen + Trinken, Freizeit, Shopping etc. gegeben.Der nahegelegenen Ort Panzano hat uns gut gefallen. Es gab Möglichkeit zum Einkaufen und gute Restaurants und Wandernöglichkeiten. Man konnte von Panzano auch viele SehenswĂŒrdigkeiten in das Umland machen. Ein Auto ist hier schon erforderlich. Leider sind Weinpreise hier sehr hoch .

Best equipped and most charming appartment ever rented

Dear Michiel, Thank you for this fantastic stay at your appartment with a magnificent view on the countryside. The appartment is very tastefully furnished and equipped with everything you need. Panzano is a cute little town with little shops, a bakery, a butcher and a fantastic wine cellar (Academia del buon gusto) just a few hundred meters from the appartment. We hope that we'll have the chance to come back one day!

Historische Wohnung mit perfektem Ausblick

Wir waren nach Panzano gekommen, um die Produkte des besten Fleischers der Toskana, Dario Cecchini, kennenzulernen, ueber die wir im Buch Hitze gelesen hatten. Die Darstellung von Michiel Bloemgartens Appartment in der Burg von Panzano machte uns neugierig auf eine ungewoehnliche Ferienwohnung. Es hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir unseren Aufenthalt spontan von 7 auf 10 Tage verlaengert haben, die Kommunikation mit Michiel hat auch hier perfekt geklappt. Das Faszinierende an dem Appartment ist der grosse Respekt, mit dem Michiel eine ueber 650 Jahre alte Wohnung renoviert hat (offen liegende Dachbalken im bis zu 7 Meter hohen Wohnzimmer, uralte Tueren zwischen den Raeumen, trotz modernster Technik ein Verputzen der Waende in alter Technik, alte Fenster,die innen aber absolut wasserdicht sind usw.). Die Einrichtung kombiniert Historisches (Tische bestehen zum Teil aus alten Tueren, viele alte Bilder an den Waenden, ein ganz altes Waschbecken in der Kueche) mit Modernem (WLAN, dimmbare Kronleuchter, moderner Gasherd...). Man spuert, mit wie viel Liebe und Sorgfalt der Besitzer ueber Jahre die Renovierung durchgefuehrt hat. Es ist auch keine Ferienwohnung im klassischen Sinne sondern eine auch privat genutzte Wohnung, die auch an Touristen vermietet wird. Die Ruhe hoch oben auf der Burg war phantastisch, die Sonnenuntgaenge spektakulaer. Panzano hat neben Dario Cecchinis professionell gefuehrtem Officio della Bistecca noch mehrere Restaurants, von denen uns die nur 100 Meter unterhalb der Burg gelegene, familiaer gefuehrte Cantinetta Sassolini mit Abstand am besten gefallen hat. Panzano Castle ist ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt fuer Ausfluege. Wir konnten auf einem Tribuenenplatz ein Proberennen des Palio sehen, Florenz und mehrmals das Chianti geniessen, haben einen Badetag in Viareggio (via Autobahn in 90 min erreichbar) eingelegt und koennen nur den traumhaften neuen Golfplatz von Castelfalfi bei Montaione empfehlen (jeweils mit Konsum vom traumhaft leckeren Eis auf dem Marktplatz von San Gimignano). Gab es ueberhaupt negative Anmerkungen zu der Unterkunft: der Transport von Gepaeck in das Appartment ist sehr beschwerlich, weil man vor der Burg nicht parken darf und die Koffer bis zu 100 Meter tragen muss. Bei großer Hitze (wir hatten max 37 Grad) kommen nachts Muecken und aergern trotz chemischer Prophylaxe... Der Charme von Toscalinda, die die Wohnung betreut, ist ein weiterer dicker Pluspunkt, warum wir planen, nach Panzano zurueckzukehren.
