Der Shearling ist ein moderner Stallumbau auf der Shearstone Farm in Blackawton, South Devon. Es liegt neben dem Dartmouth Golf & Country Club zwischen Dartmouth, Kingsbridge und Totnes. Es wurde zu einem hohen Standard renoviert. Der Zugang zu The Shearing erfolgt über einen einspurigen Feldweg.

Diese Eigenschaft hat Fußbodenheizung im gesamten.

Es gibt einen großen und luftigen offenen Wohnraum. Ein großes Fenster nach Süden durchflutet den Raum mit Tageslicht. Es bietet auch ein entspannendes Zweisitzer-Sofa und einen Sessel, einen Couchtisch und einen Flachbild-TV mit Sky-Paket.

Eine voll ausgestattete Küche mit einem Neff-Cerankochfeld und einem integrierten Backofen sowie ein integrierter Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Es gibt auch eine freistehende Waschmaschine und eine Mikrowelle. Es gibt auch einen Esstisch aus Holz mit zwei stilvollen Stühlen.

Gleich neben dem Wohnbereich befindet sich ein großer Schrank mit einem Wäscheständer, einem Staubsauger, einem Bügelbrett und einem Bügeleisen.

Das entspannende Schlafzimmer ist durch das große Fenster mit Blick auf den Innenhof und die Landschaft mit viel natürlichem Licht durchflutet. Es verfügt über ein komfortables Super-Kingsize-Bett mit Reißverschluss, das zusammen oder separat als Einzelbetten aufgestellt werden kann (bitte bei der Buchung angeben). Es gibt auch zwei Nachttische mit Lampen, einen freistehenden doppelten Holzkleiderschrank und einen Stuhl.

Das frische, weiße, moderne Duschbad ist komplett ausgestattet mit einer großen ebenerdigen Dusche, einem WC, einem Waschbecken, einem Handtuchhalter und einem Badezimmerschrank mit Spiegeln.

Die große, gepflasterte Terrasse ist von einer eleganten Glasbalustrade mit einem Tisch und zwei Stühlen umgeben, die einen Blick über die Felder bietet und ideal für Reisende mit Hunden ist.

Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze neben der Unterkunft und ein Abstellraum für Fahrräder, Kanus usw. kann problemlos arrangiert werden.

Perfect

Fabulous barn conversion with so much room and everything you need, the shower especially was perfect, and the bed soooo comfortable.To have the use of a large field and orchard at any time for the dogs was priceless.The hosts could not have been more friendly, relaxed and hospitable - a lovely cream tea on arrival was delicious!!

Super stay!

Had a wonderful stay at The Shearling. Everything was perfect. The cottage was a lovely size and very comfortable with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The hosts were wonderful, very friendly and not at all intrusive. The location is great for visiting the surrounding area if you do wish to venture out but also if you just want to relax at the cottage in the peace and quiet of the Devon countryside. All in all, we couldnt have asked for a more pleasant and relaxing stay. We've already recommended the cottage to a few of our friends.

Great location

Our 2nd visit to this superb little gem, excellent location and the owners are lovely people, so quiet and peaceful at night, The bed was so comfy I could of quite easily took it home lol,We stopped just after the Christmas for NYE to avoid the fireworks as our pets hate them, will be returning in the near future

Great location close to Dartmouth

We really enjoyed our stay . The house is in a great location and had everything we needed.A very comfortable bed with great bed linens. The owners were friendly and available if we needed them. We would recommend this home.

Perfect stay in every way.

This was probably the most ideal self catering property my daughter and I have stayed in since we started annual visits to Dartmouth in 1998. We loved the location, peaceful yet just a short drive to the town. The accommodation was spotless, spacious and provided everything we needed. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, and the free range eggs, milk and scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam were an unexpected treat. A delightful stay in every way.

Wonderful stay - hosts / property & location

Well what can I say, from the well equipped and very clean property, to the lovely hosts and the tasty cream teas on our arrival, the stay was just perfect. Lovely and quiet and so near to Dartmouth, Kingsbridge etc, by car. Our dog Ash was made very welcome and he enjoyed his early morning/evening walks up the quiet lane and the fields. We will definitely be back next year and thank you again Margaret, Ron and Sue for the really lovely stay.

Excellent Place to Stay

Well equipped one bedroom barn conversion in a secluded location. This was a real find and the ideal place for us to stay with our two dogs. This is a great base for exploring the local area. The hosts, Margaret, Ron and Sue were very friendly and the welcome goodies were much appreciated. This is probably the best self catering accommodation that we have stayed in. We would certainly return here if we are in the area. Thank you all

Quiet location not far from the sea

We found the Shearling Cottage to be perfectly presented and suitable for us, a mature aged couple. It was well appointed, extremely clean and it was a pleasure to have such good quality linen on the king size bed. The cottage is on a very quiet farm but is only 4 miles from Dartmouth so the attractions and facilities of Dartmouth are not far away.

Very comfortable

Hidden down a track off the main road is this very comfortable holiday let. It is convienient for visiting the main sights in the area, Nothing fancy just well chosen equipment and furniture that actually works. You can tell that the owners know what they are doing. Speaking of whom they are a lovely family, friendly but not intrusive. This will be our go to place when in South Devon.

FANTASTIC

We were lucky enough to find this self contained Barn/Outbuilding on VRBO. The property itself is tucked away, so very private/peaceful although easy to find if you use Google maps. It served as a great central location in South Devon. We like many others took our dogs. There is a large field available to walk your dogs which is a real god send. Inside the property is spotlessly clean. If you don't have dogs don't be put off as it's tiles throughout the living area with underfloor heating so no lingering doggy smells. The owners are close by but give you the space to enjoy your stay, then even left a few necessitys/niceties to enjoy at the start of your stay. Overall a great break and one that we would definitely return to.
