Dear Sharon....I am sorry that your experience was less than pleasant but please understand that you had RSVP'd for 10 people and then showed up with 17! We clearly state in VRBO that we can sleep 10-12 comfortably. That makes it very difficult for us to coordinate linens and towels when we have 7 unregistered guests. On top of that you also brought 3 (three) dogs which you did not inform me you were bringing and the only reason we found out about the 3 dogs was because we sent the cleaning crew over there within 2 hours of your complaint to make sure you had enough linens, towels, detergent, Kleenex, etc....the cleaner confirmed that there were plenty of linens, you had just used the extras on the air mattresses you brought for the 7 unregistered guests. There were 3 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, 15 rolls in all, and a box of Kleenex in every room so I am not sure what you expect or what types of VRBO places you stay at that give you an unlimited amount of TP. There was, and still is, a full bottle of Tide HE laundry detergent in the cabinet directly above the washing machine and a FULL box of garbage bags just under the kitchen sink to the left of the garbage can. The cleaner clearly showed you ALL these items while she was there and then we never heard from you again until this review......As far as the garbage in the garage goes...the previous guests did not put the cans out as instructed and I had the garbage company make a special trip the next day which costs me $$$$. I wish I could ensure that every guest follows the instructions. Yes, you are correct, the beach is not large and we do not advertise it as a "beach oasis", privacy is what we offer and the photos clearly show you the beach and the fact that we are on a channel not the big water. Again I am sorry that you had a less than perfect time on your vacation and I am sorry that it rained a lot while you were there, that is one thing that I cannot control. VRBO handles the refunds of damage deposits directly and we as owners of properties have nothing to do with that. Please note that you got ALL your deposit back even though I knew you had 7 unregistered guests and 3 unapproved dogs.
