Bryn Arfor ist in einer Reihe von 5 Einzelhäusern in einer ruhigen Gasse, nahe dem Zentrum von Llwyngwril Dorf. Die Gasse ist eine Sackgasse, die zu einem Reitweg in die Berge wird - ideal für Wanderer und Ausblicke auf die Cardigan Bay. Ursprünglich zwei kleine Hütten, umfasst die Unterkunft eine große Küche, Wohnzimmer und drei Schlafzimmer, Doppel-, Zweibett-und Einzelzimmer. Das Haus hat einen Holzofen, der es im Herbst und Winter behaglich und komfortabel hält, und äußerst bequeme Betten !!

Dieses Ferienhaus in Llwyngwril liegt in den Bergen und am Fluss. Castell y Bere und Cymer Abbey zählen zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Region. Wer etwas unternehmen möchte, wird hier fündig: Fairbourne Golf Club und Aberdovey Golf Club. Ebenfalls einen Besuch wert sind diese beiden Highlights: Penrhyn Amusement Arcade und Fairbourne Railway. Beim Windsurfen und beim Segeln kannst du die umliegende Wasserwelt erkunden oder aber du stürzt dich beim Wandern und beim Radfahren ganz in der Nähe in ein Abenteuer mit festem Boden unter den Füßen.

Lovely stay

The cottage is very comfortable, where we had a lovely time in a group of 4 adults. Spectacular walks reachable after approx 30-45 min driving. The kitchen is well equipped and big.

Ein Platz zum Wohlfühlen!

Es ist ein wunderbarer, sehr schön eingerichteter Hausteil. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an sehr wohl. Die Küche ist perfekt eingerichtet - eine Freude zum Mal selber kochen. Der separate Garten liegt etwas erhöht, mit Blick auf das Meer und wunderbaren Sonnenuntergängen. Er ist auf zwei Ebenen angelegt und ein herrlicher Rückzugs-Ort - traumhaft.

Alles was man braucht

Sehr ehrliche Beschreibung des Objektes, es ist genau so. Man darf keinen Luxustempel und keinen Neubau erwarten. Das alte Cottage ist liebevoll eingerichtet und bietet alles, was man braucht. Die Kommunikation mit der netten Vermieterin hat über E-Mail prima funktioniert. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Schön, sauber, gut ausgestattet, durchdacht

Das Häuschen ist hüsch eingerichtet, super ausgestattet (Kamin, Grill, DVD-Player, jede Menge DVDs, Reiseführer, digitales Küchenradio, Kiste mit Lego-Spielzeug, Pürierstab sind Details, die nicht jede Ferienwohnung bietet). Alles funktionierte. Das Haus war extrem sauber. Parkplatz für 1 Pkw direkt vor der Haustür. Traumhafter Blick vom Garten auf die Cardigan Bay. Die Vermieterin haben wir zwar nicht getroffen, aber alle Fragen wurden zeitnah per E-Mail geklärt. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Very charming cottage!

We loved being in Llyngwril(although I still don´t know how to pronounce it right)! The house is so lovely and special and the village as well. We especially enjoyed the yarn bombing exhibition taking place everywhere around.

Gut ausgestattet, ruhige Lage

Uns hat es in dem Cottage "Bryn Arfor" sehr gut gefallen. Der Küstenpfad-Wanderweg nach Barmouth verläuft direkt am Haus entlang. Das Meer ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Den Garten haben wir zum Grillen und Entspannen genutzt. Fazit: Es war sehr erholsam

Pretty , spotlessly clean cottage, well,equipped kitchen etc.. in friendly village..

Easy access from Llwyngwril village to places of interest in North Wales.We packed in Harlech Castle, Rheidol Valley steam train to Devil’s Bridge, and Chirk Castle in out short stay In Gwynedd. Delightful,welcome gesture from Nicola Morrow : a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc plus a block of Bara Brith left in the kitchen for us. One minor detraction : Stairs in cottage is difficult for someone who uses a walking stick to assist mobility.

Beautiful cottage, perfect location

Loved our stay here. Cottage was spotless, really comfortable, homely and well equipped. Fantastic views from the garden. Loads of information available on local walks and places of interest- no need for a car here, train station 2 minutes away and fantastic walks just out the door. Highly recommend.

Wonderful cottage in perfect location

The cottage was exactly as described & was clean & cosy. Very well equipped kitchen, & wonderful big farmhouse style table to eat at. The location is perfect - right in the heart of the village & only 3 mins walk to the shop for supplies. We didn’t use the train but had we stayed longer would probably have done so - only a 5 minute walk to the station. Loads to do in the area & there are plenty of maps & guides etc in the cottage. Communication with the host was easy & I received prompt responses to my couple of small queries. We’d definitely go again if we were planning a trip in the area.

Great cottage in a great location

The cottage had everything we needed for a week away, in a beautiful location. Lovely walks from the doorstep, we enjoyed exploring this part of Wales. Kitchen was well equipped and even had a cupboard full of herbs/ spices/ oils etc. (maybe left by previous guests?) which meant we could cook just like at home. We did find the upstairs rooms hot at night as the duvets were very cosy and the beds a bit softer than we're used to, but this is personal preference! It was very quiet at night and the downstairs was lovely and cool throughout our stay. Nicola was very quick to respond to enquiries.

Family holiday

A lovely cottage in a quiet village, one pub (good food) and one shop. Short walk to a pebbly beach, lovely for an evening stroll. Other sandy beaches a short drive or train ride away. The cottage is nice, clean and spacious with comfortable beds and all the facilities we needed. Beautiful garden with sea views/ great for sunsets.

Very happy visitors

Cottage was very comfortable and suited us perfectly for our visit. Walk out the door access to hiking trails, a beautiful terraced garden looking out to sea and plenty of wood for the fire. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment. Information from Nicola was clear and sent in good time and she is taking Covid safety measures seriously. Would definitely recommend!

A great holiday at Bryn Arfor Cottage

This was one of the best equipped cottages we have ever stayed in. It even had kitchen scales! The beds were really comfortable and the shower easy to use and very efficient. One of us made use of the rain coat on the first day and also we borrowed a pair of binoculars for our visit to the RSPB site at Ynys-hir. There were plenty of information leaflets and maps and some lovely art books to peruse. We enjoyed sitting in the garden and had cheese and wine up there one evening. The sunset was wonderful. The cottage was central to the village and although we had 2 cars and needed to park one in the village car park it was only a few minutes' walk and no bother at all. We loved all the knitted creatures around the village. (The only thing missing was a visitors' book to complete about places we visited and to read about others experiences.)

Very comfortable stay

The cottage is very comfortable and the equipment very good quality. The dining kitchen is excellent for family meals and the lounge comfortable and warm. The bedrooms have adequate storage space, heaters if needed and most comfortable beds. The main bedroom has a view of the sea.Good shower in the bathroom and a separate toilet which is down 2 steps. Some attractive art work also displayed on walls and shelves. Lots of books, DVD's, CD's ,a good radio, children's and family games and maps for walking. Also a cupboard full of useful equipment for picnics and walking such as flasks, primus stove kettle, picnic rug etc. Parking is available for 1 car directly in front of the cottage and it is very quiet with only very occasional traffic passing.There is one convenience store in the village but unfortunately the only pub was closed for refurbishment when we were there. The garden, although not directly attached to the cottage, is steep but delightful. Unfortunately the weather wasn't warm enough to take advantage of it. Llwyngwril is conveniently placed for day trips to Towyn, Barmouth( a little run down), Aberdovey, Portmeiron, Harlech and Snowdonia National Park. The railway line in the village is an added bonus when a break from the car and road is required. The only things I missed from home were oven gloves and a tea cosy!! The file on cafe's , places to visit, rubbish collection etc could do with being updated but we still managed. A most enjoyable stay, thankyou.

Lovely cottage

We had a great time at this cosy cottage. As a family of 5 there was plenty of space for us all and a lovely big table for evening meals. The cottage has everything that you need and is in a great location to get out and about. We explored the local hills accessed from the path behind the cottage, which helpfully bring you out close to the local pub! We would have no hesitation in staying here again and loved the sea views to wake up to in the morning.

The cottage is owned by Jonathan, a civil engineer, and Nicky, a retired teacher from Shrewsbury. They have two grown up children, and have enjoyed many happy holidays in Snowdonia.

Llwyngwril is exceptionally located to offer access to the coast and mountains of Southern Snowdonia National Park. Having a station on the coastal railway provides opportunities for car-free exploration of the area. A favourite of ours is to walk up the lane, over the hills and across the Mawddach Estuary trestle bridge to Barmouth, visit one of the pubs, and return to Llwyngwril by train!
