Diese Eigenschaft ist unser Zuhause von zu Hause und wird von unserer ganzen Familie geliebt. Unser Ferienhaus ist ideal für unvergessliche Familienferien an der Küste. Das Cottage liegt an der Spitze der Mousehole Lane, wenn Sie das kleine freundliche Dorf Paul mit seiner wunderschönen Umgebung betreten. Die Dorfkirche ist die Begräbnisstätte für die letzte gebürtige Cornish sprechende Dame aus Cornwall. Hier finden Sie auch das Denkmal in ihrer Erinnerung. Gegenüber der Kirche befindet sich The Kings Arms Pub, ein hübsches lokales Pub, das wir für freundlichen Service, eine große Auswahl an Gins und gutes Essen empfehlen.

Ca. 7 min Fußweg bergab zum Mousehole Hafen. Am Hafen gibt es einige nette kleine Geschäfte, Pubs, Restaurants und eine herrliche Aussicht auf das Meer.

The house was lovely and in a beautiful location. Mousehole is a short walk away and lots of great places to visit within 25 minutes from st ives to Sennen cove.House has everything you need for a week in Cornwall and is really well presented. The kids had an amazing time and we would definitely come back

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage for the week of the Sea, Salts & Sail festival, getting especially fit lugging our sailing gear up and down the hill to the harbour. The cottage was a cool retreat in the heat and very spacious and the kitchen well-equipped. The bedrooms were spotless. Beautifully presented, spacious house (the photos don’t do it justice), within less than 10 mins downhill walk into the stunning village of Mousehole. Parking was always available either in front of the house, or slightly further up the road or in the adjoining village hall car park. Stephanie was very quick to respond to any queries we had. Great garden space for out door dining, and very large kitchen table to seat 8 people comfortably. Highly recommend this place and we hope to return some day.

Beautiful cottage, in an idyllic setting. Parking not an issue either. Cottage was amazing, do clean, well appointed and beautifully decorated. Did not have a single problem. Was so sad to leave and will definitely be returning (hopefully soon)

Wonderful cottage in a fab location

We absolutely LOVED our stay here, the cottage was clean and so well equipped. We had fab weather so ate outside most evenings. We walked down to Mousehole and swam in the harbour, it was all so idyllic. The cottage was a great base for us to explore this part of Cornwall, some of our fave places were the Minnack Theatre, Sennen, Porthcurno beach, St. Michael’s Mount and Cape Cornwall. We will most certainly be back! Thank you so much 😊

Picture perfect cottage.

What I imagined a ‘cottage’ to be - really homely and quaint and cute; the owners have decorated it in keeping with its style. It’s not perfect - had a bit of damp and bits and bobs need a bit of tlc - but the fact it’s not perfect almost adds to its charm. Lovely crisp, white bed linen and loads of towels. Absolutely loads of kitchenware too.

Lovely part of the world

Overall the property was comfortable - couple of niggles which the owner will discuss with the new cleaner. First time we have stayed in a property that allows pets and we don’t have any - not sure we would again but this property is perfect for people with dogs. Paul is a great base for staying near Mousehole - very close to walk in everyday - we certainly had lots of exercise. We tried all the eateries in the village and thankful to the Kings Arms for fitting us in late on arrival day after an 8 hour drive!

Thanks for the review. We recently changed cleaners over the winter since our long standing cleaner retired suddenly. We have worked with our awesome new cleaners to ensure their standards and ours are aligned. Please don't let the pet friendly property put you off in future. The Kings Arms are so kind, repeatedly accommodating of our guests, top tip is to ring though an order as you are on the A30 and they'll ensure its prepared before the chef leaves so as to not leave you hungry, I normally line up some cheesy chips and a pint of tribute for my arrival to the village. (Ha ha)

Good stay but ...

Nice property, good location, good facilities and nice back garden. There were a couple of maintenance issues that the owners offered to have fixed during our stay which we declined as wasn't convenient. Whilst this didn't detract from our stay it is something that would potentially need to be rectified prior to other guests staying, namely the TV did not work, the shower drained very very slowly and the shower attachment on the bath tap wasn't tight enough.

Thank you Paul for taking the time to review, and to contact us during your stay. We were unfortunate that the ceiling plaster was disturbed during the week before you arrived (and I assume the TV connection / reception also) and unfortunately we were not notified of this until the cleaner arrived the morning of your arrival. We have a plasterer going into fix the missing top coat this week. I will let the cleaner know about the shower draining slow as this should not be the case as we have a turbo flow outlet fitted therefore it must be clogged. (Thanks for letting us know as we rely on guest's notifying us to ensure things are tip top as we are not able to stay ourselves until late summer due to the popularity of our lovely cottage) We look forward to welcoming you again soon at Pedn Brose

This is the first time we've done a staycation and the first time we've booked via vrbo. A very last minute booking! we essentially booked the cottage on the basis of on-line photographs, location and other people's reviews. We were more than pleasantly surprised, it really felt like going from home to home, the cottage was immaculate, plenty of space for a family with 3 teenage children. The beds were comfortable and most nights were spent in the open plan kitchen/dining area which was a really nice space for chilling out, playing cards and enjoying some quality family time. As the weather was warm we were also able to spend time in the outside patio area. The kitchen is exceptionally equipped and plenty of storage space. In terms of its location, the cottage was ideal, it was a pleasant 10-15 minute walk down to Mousehole itself. Whilst the road is directly to the front of the property, it is relatively quiet in terms of traffic. Whilst there is an informal dedicated parking space in the adjacent car park, we managed to park along the road, just up from the cottage, most nights, which made it easier to access the cottage. As hosts, Matt and Steph were great, plenty of communication before hand and clear instructions for parking, keys, etc. They also provided us with great recommendations for eating out and also recommendations for the beast beaches to visit, which we greatly appreciated. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely recommend it. to v

Wunderbares Haus

Wir haben im Juni 2 Wochen in dem wunderbaren Haus verbracht und waren rundum zufrieden.Die Lage ist perfekt,um die Ruhe zu geniessen,im Garten mit Palmen zu sitzen,etc. und doch in wenigen Minuten unten im idyllischen Hafen zu sein.Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und es fehlte uns an nichts.Sehr zu empfehlen

We really enjoyed our stay at Stephanie’s cottage in Paul. The property was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location is great, only short stroll away from the centre of Mousehole. The King’s Arms pub in Paul is very welcoming to visitors, including dogs, serves great food and is only a stone’s throw away from the cottage. The only slight negative with the cottage was that when we visited the garden was a bit overgrown and in need of a tidy up. Would happily recommend to friends and family.

Beautiful house in a great location.

This is a beautiful spacious house, very clean and well equipped for our family holiday in October. We loved the large kitchen dining room and the spacious lounge. Beds were great and the lovely bath a real treat. We enjoyed the king's arms and pottering around Mousehole plus exploring further afield. The dogs had a great time as did the three year old!! We arrived to find scaffolding! An eyesore on such a lovely cottage/garden. Poles to the ground from around the whole property obstructing all the window views except 1. We contacted the owners who contacted the scaffolding co. (to their knowledge it had been removed weeks ago), told it would be removed Mon/Tues. Each day went on, had to chase the owners up who chased the scaffolders! It was still there when we left, it really spoilt our holiday and using the beautiful garden as much as we’d hoped as it was just an ugly view like staying on a building site. Unsecured ladders at ground level from the pub carpark caused some anxiety in our family of security especially at night after a hot day when we’d like windows open with sea air, Steph assured me that Paul is a very safe place and all was okay ( I guess our dog would have barked loudly too) but it was just a stressful situation all round for all of us including the owners. We cannot fault the inside of the cottage, spotlessly clean, spacious, fabulous kitchen and bathroom, very large bedrooms, very high standard and was lovely. The road to Mousehole is very steep on the way back up to the cottage and narrow, with a dog it was difficult avoiding cars and would be difficult for anyone with health or mobility issues. The King Arms pub next door is good for free parking next to the cottage and you can easily see the car park from the garden. We went for dinner and mentioned we were parking overnight as agreed with the owners (signs up saying no overnight stays) they said the owners shouldn’t of said this as parking overnight isn’t allowed. I checked the info back at the cottage, definitely agreed with owners and was all fine. King Arms are slow at taking your order if you are sat outside even on a quiet day. We had hot weather every day end Aug/early Sept. Dog ban on beaches until 6pm until Aug 31st so we went later and saw sunsets at Sennan Cove and other local beaches. Rock Pool Cafe and Coastguard Inn in Mousehole great table views to sea and excellent food/drinks and great service and dog friendly. Lane to Mousehole from house steep on way back, narrow road with the dog, you need to be fit and have no mobility issues. We saw dolphins and seals with Cormoran Boat Trips - a great experience and dog friendly. Lands End and Porthcurno beach beautiful & famous Kynance Cove worth the drive. We hope we can resolve the situation soon Steph and Matt for the inconvenience during our stay.

Lovely well equipped cottage, excellent base for beautiful beaches, stunning coast walks and two very nice pubs in Mousehole a short walk away.

Homely and relaxing

The property was lovely and spacious for the 2 of us. Parking was great, pub and village hall car park right next door. Very peaceful location. Literally 5 mins down the hill to mousehole. Quite close to all of the places we wanted to visit. Hosts were brilliant. The day we travelled there I had a few questions and they answered rapidly considering steph was actually giving birth to their baby boy!!!! Would definitely stay again if we were wanting to stay around that area Mackrel sky is a must if you are in Newlyn. Beautiful freshly cooked food and so relaxed Thankyou for having us

Quiet Retreat

We enjoyed our stay here especially with the pub not far away that served excellent food!! Paul was an ideal base for touring around this part of Cornwall and we plan to return in the future.

Lovely cottage

We had a lovely stay at this cottage, it was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. Very comfortable bed and sofa. We also loved the open plan kitchen-dining room. It was great to be able to walk into Mousehole without having to worry about parking! Having the Kings Arms next door was a real bonus as we managed to book a table there 5 out of our 7 nights. Everywhere else in Mousehole was fully booked. The fields at the back of the pub was a really useful place to let our dog have a run first thing in the morning and later in the evening.

Thanks Alison for your kind words, we’re glad you were able to support our local pub, Nigel and Will are absolute stars. The extra room up the hill from Mousehole harbour really helps when you want parking, a garden and dog exercise areas.

The cottage is in a small, quaint village with a friendly local atmosphere. The cottage is only minutes from Mousehole harbour, which is the ideal location for us. We have spent many days at the harbour with our family on the beach, and enjoying the atmosphere with the locals and holiday makers.

We would highly recommend the area to anyone that has not visited this part of Cornwall or who have, and are yet to stay in the area and experience the local life.

The cottage is a short drive into Penzance (approx. 7 mins) for all your local conveniences. Close to St Michaels Mount, St Ives and many scenic walks.
