A very nice Villa in a very nice Area

Die Villa liegt in einer sehr schönen Gegend mit tollem Ausblick. Die Zimmer sind gut und sehr nett eingerichtet. Es fehlte uns an nichts. Die Terrasse und der Poolbereich sehr schön und nach einer Runde Golf ideal zum Entspannen. Wir können die Villa Solana nur empfehlen!!!

The Villa is lovely and the pool was great. Very spacious and nice en suite bedrooms. We travelled around via Uber. Would probably get a car next time. Not much near the actual villa but the views were amazing. Family holiday with 3 generations.

The pool is the highlight of this villa, it is completely private and not overlooked despite being in a residential area. The view from the terrace was also stunning and we all ate together on the terrace every evening. However the villa was a bit run down in places, the kitchen was functional but very tired, the patio doors didn't work well and one bathroom door got stuck on the floor so didn't open properly. The mattresses on the beds were very hard and we found them quite uncomfortable. The BBQ area is in the middle of the garden and quite a walk to and from the kitchen (there is no tap, sink or worktop by the BBQ) and also in need of refurbishment. We really enjoyed our stay and had a great holiday exploring the nearby area, however the villa was expensive and for the price I would expect everything to be working well in the villa.

Beautiful villa with stunning views! The villa was really clean and each bedroom lovely. The pool was a great siza and lit up at night, and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The walk to the village is down a very steep hill so the walk back is not for the fainthearted, but the villa is so nice we didn't feel the need to leave other than to get food. Taxis were cheap into town and came quickly enough so it is easy to get around if you feel the need to exlore the surround area (which we didn't).We loved our stay and the quality of the villa and the beautiful surroundings made for a very relaxing break.The host was on hand to answer any queries and responded quickly to messages. Would 100% reccomend.

Great family trip in April

The villa was perfect for our needs as a family aged 3 to 73 in April. The well heated pool and a lovely garden with BBQ were a real bonus for the children and adults. The terrace and indoor dining area were both great places for family meals and could comfortably accommodate the 10 of us. All 5 good to large sized bedrooms were en suite and the configuration and flexibility suited us very well. It was very well equipped with good quality fixtures and fittings throughout and at the same time feeling comfortable and child friendly. It was helpful to have a car and it was quick to get to the beach, Mijas Pueblo, Biopark, Malaga city and airport. All communication and instructions were very clear and helpful with very speedy responses to any questions and requests. All in all it was perfect for our family holiday and is even better than the photos.

This villa is just beautiful. It has everything that you need. Kitchen is very well equipped. Plenty of room for my party of 9. Fabulous views down to the coast. Plenty if seating area on the terrace and large table seats 10. This was our 2nd visit and I hope to return next year.

Our stay at La Solana August 2024

We had a fantastic 10 day stay at Villa La Solana. The villa is beautiful and the views spectacular. Everyone loved the swimming pool and the evening bbq's. There were 10 of us, spanning three generations and including three young girls aged 5,3 and 15 months. There was plenty of shade and space inside for the girls to play, so it was the perfect villa for a relaxing family holiday and the beaches are a short drive away for those who wanted a change. The owner Jeremy was really helpful from the moment we booked and always responded promptly to any queries. We would highly recommend La Solana.

Really lovely villa

We were are group of 8 ladies. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the villa. Amazing views! We liked the veranda eating and relaxing area. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen, everything was thought of. Bedrooms suited as because we asked for the beds to be made up as singles. It was just perfect and we had a fantastic week. Just one little negative was that the bathrooms upstairs need refurbishing but perfectly adequate. We would definitely book again!

Fabulous villa with spectacular views

The villa was extremely spacious and even better than the pictures. Plenty of space both inside and out. The views from the eating areas outside were fantastic. We booked the villa mainly based on the pool area and gardens and were not disappointed. The pool was very clean and the gardens were pretty and well maintained. There were plenty of sun beds provided, as well as umbrellas which gave much needed shade. The villa itself was extremely well equipped and the kitchen especially had everything we needed. Communication with Jeremy, the host, was very efficient and helpful. Would definitely recommend this villa.

A fabulous villa in a fabulous location

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this villa. It was traditional and spanish and overwhelmingly lovely. The eating areas outside were great and the pool was something else. It was a good size for a villa, it was deep, it was beautifully lit and very well maintained. Any issues within the house were responded to really quickly and efficiently by the owner I would highly recommend this property. If I was to criticise anything it would be that the single beds were quite short. My sons are 6ft and 6ft 3inches and they were significantly too long for the beds which they found a little uncomfortable. Beds themselves are comfy it's purely the length. I am 5 ft6 inches and they were plenty long enough for me. I wouldn't however let that put me off booking again.

A wonderful family holiday

We enjoyed a fantastic stay at the villa. The gardens and pool area are beautiful and even better than the photographs. The veranda is perfect for dining and relaxing on with spectacular views of mountains, valley and sea. The Villa is in a great location slightly out of town but only a 10 minute drive from the beachfront and centre of fuengirola. James the owner quickly responded to any issues or questions we had which was much appreciated.

Beautiful villa in excellent location with amazing views

We all loved this villa for so many reasons The pool was large enough to have a good swim and accommodate plenty of inflatable toys for the children. All 5 bedrooms were large and airy. As a party of 11 (6 adults & 5 children aged 3-8) the dining areas and chiiing areas were large and just perfect. Plenty of shaded areas to escape the peak sunshine The kitchen was extremely well stocked with everything you could possibly need The views from the upper terrace were amazing The villa is well positioned for a short drive to the beach or up to the beautiful town of Mijas We would highly recommend the villa to families or groups of friends it definitely won’t disappoint.Jeremy the host was available to answer any questions very promptly. We would love to return in the future

Wonderful villa above Fuengirola

We were 10 persons who lived in Villa La Solana for two weeks summer 2023. The villa is perfect for two or three families, as there are two separate sleeping areas and all rooms have en suite bathrooms. The villa is very well equiped, and an extra plus for pool towels included. It is a bit off grid, so you willl need a car for your stay.

Everything you need

We had a lovely stay at this villa. It’s has everything you need for a great villa holiday. The pool is a great size and has lots of sun beds and seats to relax in. The rooms are all great size with en suite. There is also a good quality table tennis table in the shade! The highlight of the villa for me was the seating area on the veranda. Perfect for a morning cup of tea or an evening glass of wine. The communication was great and the place is well kept. Highly recommend

Lovely villa and in a really nice area, 10 mins from Fuengerola - 20 mins from Mijas and

Overall we had a great time, the villa was perfect for our party of 12. it was all family and friends celebrating a 50th birthday with ages from 5 to 58 - every one of us had a fantastic time and was one of our best holidays ever. There was very good communication from Jeremy the owner so the villa comes well recommended from us all. :) Paul B

Séjour très agréable, maison qui semble la nôtre au bout de quelques heures voire quelques minutes

Maison très bien équipée, fonctionnelle : on voit que Jérémy y habite souvent et que ce n'est pas sue de la location

We are a farming family in Hertfordshire who have owned property in Fuengirola for over 50 years. Some 40 years ago we found a fantastic opportunity to build our own villa and thus was born La Solana. We have a large family who continue to enjoy the villa as our second home.

During the 1970s, having already owned a home in the area, we decided to purchase a secluded piece of land with amazing views on top of a hill, on which to build our dream villa. Since then the villa has been continuously updated and modernised to a comfortable standard, this has provided large and spacious bedrooms all of which have their own bathrooms. A large veranda allows spectacular views down to Fuengirola and the sea, a perfect place to chill and enjoy a glass of something special.
Despite its fantastic private location access to local amenities is quick and easy, with shops and restaurants in El Coto only a 10 minute walk down the hill and the bustle of Fuengirola a 5 minutes taxi away
With Malaga airport only 20-25 minutes away

We have enjoyed many holidays at La Solana since we built it in the 1970s on unspoilt countryside. Over the years it has been an ideal second home to entertain friends and family of all ages in a brilliant location. Nearby sports include golf, tennis, horse riding and waterparks.
The villa was built on two plots of land so affords generous garden space so everyone can find a quiet corner if they want.
It has unrivalled views across the countryside and down towards the sea and being south facing you will have continuous sunshine though out the day.
The villa is very spacious with unusually large bedrooms all with a bathroom and communal areas suitable for children and adults alike.

The villa is only a 20 minute drive from Malaga airport so is a hassle free transfer to sunshine! Marbella is a simple 20 minute drive and the charming white-washed village of Mijas, only 4 miles from the villa, retains much of the Andalusian way of life and is very interesting to explore.

Local shops and restaurants are only a 10 minute walk.
