Das Haus: Gebaut im Jahre 1729, ĂŒberblickt den Fluss Dordogne (40 m entfernt). Es bietet einen spektakulĂ€ren Blick auf die alte Mittelalterstadt Bergerac direkt auf der anderen Seite des Flusses in der NĂ€he der historischen BrĂŒcke, die das SĂŒdufer der Dordogne mit der Altstadt verbindet. Das Haus bietet 3 Doppelschlafzimmer (Master mit Ensuite-BZ, WC und Ankleidezimmer), ein zweites Bad und Toiletten fĂŒr die anderen beiden SZ. Das große WZ hat Sicht auf den Fluss und der moderne KĂŒchen/Essbereich bietet Zugang zum großen Innenhof mit Grill. Alle modernen GerĂ€te wie GeschirrspĂŒlmaschine, Ofen, Herdplatten, Kochutensilien, im Hauswirtschaftsraum gibt es eine Waschmaschine. Das Haus ist vollstĂ€ndig renoviert. Das Ferienhaus ist zentralbeheizt. Freies Parken direkt vor dem Haus. Bettlaken, HandtĂŒcher, etc. werden bereitgelegt.

Great location

Lovely house with everything we needed. Note that there isn’t any parking allocated to the property but we were always able to park in the square outside. It is an easy walk across the bridge to the old town. The beds are really comfortable.

TrÚs agréable

La maison Ă©tait accueillante et spacieuse pour notre famille. Nous avons profitĂ© des espaces communs et du patio. Par contre le mĂ©nage mĂ©ritait d'ĂȘtre plus soignĂ©. À titre d'information, Il manquait quelques ustensiles dans la cuisine (verres, thĂ©iĂšre, carafes, et d'autres accessoires. La rĂ©gion est belle mais nous Ă©tions un peu Ă©loignĂ©s de nos centres d'intĂ©rĂȘts.

Conforme à l’annonce

Les photos sont conformes Ă  l’annonce. Tres belle maison bien situĂ©e, idĂ©ale pour une famille et trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ©e. À cause de la chaleur nous avons dĂ» dormir les fenĂȘtres ouvertes et la proximitĂ© avec la ville et le marchĂ© devant la maison le vendredi en ont fait un bĂ©mol. Et c’est aussi un atout car trĂšs pratique au quotidien. Merci Ă  Vanessa pour l’accueil lors de la rĂ©ception et le retour des clĂ©s.

Impressions mitigées

L’emplacement est parfait, la maison est sympa, mais beaucoup de choses n’avaient pas Ă©tĂ© vĂ©rifiĂ©es avant notre arrivĂ©e. Le toaster Ă©tait en panne, la machine Ă  laver la vaisselle a nĂ©cessitĂ© une rĂ©paration immĂ©diate, la tĂ©lĂ© ne fonctionnait pas, l’internet n’a pas marchĂ© la veille du dĂ©part. La bouilloire et la cafetiĂšre totalement entartrĂ©es. Ça fait beaucoup de “petites choses” pour une semaine.

TrĂšs belle maison proche du centre de Bergerac

Grande maison rénovée avec goût tout à fait conforme à la description. Nous y avons passé un séjour trÚs agréable. Les piÚces de vie sont trÚs grandes et la maison est trÚs bien équipée afin de nous facilité le quotidien. Le vieux Bergerac est trÚs joli accessible facilement en se baladant (moins de 10 minutes). Nous sommes trÚs satisfait.

Great views from this comfortable and bigger than expected house

We've just enjoyed a week's stay in this lovely house, which has great views of the Dordogne and Bergerac old town from the lounge and bedroom windows. We were the owner's first visitors of the season (due to Covid) and there was no hot water at the property for the first 24 hours which was a bit disappointing after a long journey. That said, the problem was swiftly fixed and their agent in Bergerac very responsive. The house is much bigger and brighter than the photos suggest, with everything you need to make yourself comfortable - we didn't eat in or cook so can't comment on those facilities - and there is plenty of onsite parking. The old town of Bergerac is beautiful with loads of great restaurants and individual shops, just a short walk over the bridge. We also took the train to Bordeaux for the day which was really efficient and quick - 75 mins each way, and lots of great views on the way.

SPACIOUS HOME IN GOOD LOCATION

We enjoyed the house, it was well equipped and we had everything we needed. Parking was not a problem which was right beside the door. We were disappointed that there was not any area outside where we could dine or sit to read. The "garden" is a cubicle surrounded by four walls and not the least bit inviting. This was the only downside to the property. We could walk to the old city of Bergerac in about 10 minutes which as a bonus.

A lovely property in a great location

We spent a great week here. Whilst maintaining its character the property has been renovated to a high standard. It is spacious and comfortable and all mod cons are available. Also, it is in a central location with a short 10 minute walk over the bridge into old town Bergerac. Therefore, ideal if you don't wish to hire a car. Just to mention that prior to our stay the owners, Ivor and Frances answered our queries promptly and their agent in Bergerac, Ben and his wife were very helpful. All in all the property is as described in the details on the web site and we certainly would return

Beautiful Bergerac

Our group, of six adults, thoroughly enjoyed a two week stay at this well maintained and well appointed home in Bergerac in July. It's position was perfect for our stay and we were all extremely comfortable there, with all the amenities which we were expecting from the description on the website, and the wonderful view across the river to the old town was a real bonus to enjoy every day. Bergerac is a beautiful town, with an abundance of shops and restaurants, and the local markets are not to be missed! We also found the local people to be extremely helpful and friendly. The house was ideally situated for either getting into the town centre (a quick walk over the bridge) or for heading out into the countryside to explore the many picturesque villages and towns in the area. A big thank you to our hosts for helping to make our holiday so memorable - we loved every bit of it and would highly recommend it to any of our friends when they visit that beautiful area.

Everything on your doorstep

We stayed in the low season (Dec) and found this villa to have a fantastic location with everything within walking distance. A well equipped home with modern fixtures inside. A large table to eat meals at with friends and enjoy the beautiful view overlooking the river. A must see town with a large market on Saturdays along with a fish market on Friday which is practically on the doorstep! Not to mention the added bonus of the Noel market, a great surprise. So glad we stayed - we highly recommend it.

Lovely ... Recommended ....

This really is a wonderful house in a fantastic location. Its large and very well fitted out. Bedroom 1, has great view across the Dordogne, the dressing room and en-suite is lovely. Bedrooms 2 and 3, are spacious and comfortable, without en-suite, although the windows are internally facing within the building, they are nice, but that's only where you sleep. The photo's do reflect how good the accommodation is ! It really is a quality house ... just get advice on operating the brand new hob. The owner's are Aussie's, and very good people, so take account of the time difference, when calling, they are absolutely genuine (emails may come from Bigpond and Worldwidetank). Frances was very helpful and allayed our fears after a Daily Mail, article regarding Ownersdirect. Their Agent, Sophie was excellent. Ask where the local doctor is, and their opening hours, just in case you need them. We will be back again ! Paul, Rosie, Sheila, Martin, Mary and Chris

Amazing Villa!

If you're visiting Bergerac or just thinking about going to France then this Villa will make your holiday! We went to Bergerac for a family wedding and all of my extended family visited the house, they all thought that it was fantastic. Frances and Ivor we extremely helpful before the trip and even put a real wooden cot and high chair in the Villa for our baby. When we arrived the lovely Sophie gave us a tour of the house and gave us advice about the local area. The Villa itself is ideal, it is spacious and has all the mod-cons including dishwasher and coffee maker. All of the bedrooms are huge and the master has an en-suite and walk in wardrobe! The patio was really useful in the evening's as we had a BBQ and all of the family came round for the evening. We hired a car but you could definitely manage without. (Free parking is available) The Villa is in a perfect location, just over the old bridge and is only a ten minute walk from the center of Bergerac where all the restaurants etc. are. You can see the Dordogne from the living room and master bedrooms windows, it's beautiful! When we looked at the villa originally, we thought the pictures we a bit too good to be true. Well... the photos are correct! There's only one slight downside if you have young children because there is no bath. But we actually put the paddling pool in the shower because it's so huge. Our baby loved it. We will definitely be returning to this Villa!
