Hi Ann Thank you for your kind words. We are really pleased you had an enjoyable stay in our apartment and would be pleased to welcome you back at anytime in the future should you wish to stay in Filey. In respect on the hill there is a free bus service that runs along the sea front in summer. In addition there are taxis that are based at the train station and are very reasonably priced for short journeys and very reliable. I will be taking my mum (she is 98) in August. We do make use of these facilities ourselves so I can speak from personal experience. Hope this helps and thank you once again

We are pleased you had an enjoyable stay, we understand the hills can be a little challenging. I recently took my Mum (98yrs) and know that pushing a wheel chair is a task. The local taxi firm is very good and cost are quite moderate. I was charged £4.90 into town. As an alternative there is also the Filey little bus that runs all over Filey and on the sea front Thank you again for your kind words. We would welcome back again if you return to Filey

Hi Kelly We are sorry the apartment did not match your expectations. The apartment was deep cleaned and redecorated in March/April 2025. This was done with the sole intention of modernisation, whilst keeping many of the traditional features of the Edwardian property which many of our guests have expressed their approval and appreciation, so just matter of taste really. We take the well being and safety of our guests as paramount. As a holiday let we fall within the regulatory Reform (fire saftey)order 2005 . The apartment is checked every six months in accordance with the fire regulations and annually for gas. With regards to PAT testing there is no specific law in the UK that states PAT testing has to be carried out at fixed intervals or give specific time frames for testing. However in an effort to help ensure guest safety we choose to carry this out on an annual basis. As explained to you on the phone due to the redecorating and cleaning in April the electrician had to reschedule this until July when this will be carried out We hope this explanation helps to clarify the situation for you. Many thanks for your review. I am so sorry you found the property cold. We are always happy for guests to contact us if there are any problems so we can sort them out and so that it doesn't spoil their holiday. There is a thermostat dial in the bedroom which can be turned up and also the fire in the living room to top it up. But I will ask the cleaner to check the temperature as well for the future. I was concerned to hear about the slugs. This has never happened before but I am grateful you have drawn our attention to it. We have had a lot of wet weather recently and they must have found a way in so we need to find it and seal it up. Again I'll alert the cleaners. I hope it didnt spoil your holiday and you enjoyed your visit to Filey Regards Christine

Hi Julie We are pleased you had an enjoyable stay at our apartment in Filey.The extra patio chairs are stored in the cupboard under the stairs in the kitchen. There should be an extra 5 or 6 chairs.I am sorry we did not point this out so will take a note to include it in our joining instructions for the future. Thank you for your kind review and feedback.We are sorry regarding confusion with the key safe.It is not usual to gain access to the inner porch without first gaining the key from outside.The door must have been left open.We will make sure this is highlighted on the joining instructions.Regarding the wifi it is difficult due to the proximity to the cliffs to gain a signal throughout the property but we will bear it in mind for the future.We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and would welcome you back in the future.
