Das Le Cerisier wurde von einheimischen Handwerkern zu einem hohen Standard komplett renoviert, um sicherzustellen, dass Altes mit Neuem in Einklang gebracht wird. Es wurde mit neuen oder antiken Möbeln eingerichtet, die zum Gebäude passen. Der überdachte Essbereich im Freien ist ein beliebter Ort, an dem Sie im Freien speisen und die Ruhe und die Tierwelt genießen können. Der große 12 x 6 m große Pool ist eingezäunt und verfügt über eigene Einrichtungen, darunter eine Toilette, eine Dusche und einen Küchenbereich. Die Gründe bieten eine große Menge an Privatsphäre und Sie können den Obstgarten erkunden, um zu sehen, was verfügbar ist zu essen, die Kirschen sind wunderbar. Da das Haus über WIFI, Sat-TV, Blue Ray usw. verfügt, können Sie die gesamte Zeit damit verbringen, das Anwesen zu genießen. Es gibt jedoch einige großartige Zeiten, in denen Sie die Umgebung und die Küste erkunden können. Amazing property

We have just spent the best two weeks in this lovely renovated property. It was everything we had wished for and more. The setting was beautiful and so peaceful. We enjoyed walking down to the river and taking the bac to Chanier every day for bread. The house itself has been finished to a very high quality and had everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the covered outside area. The pool was fantastic and the perfect way to finish off a day spent sightseeing. Thanks so much!

Tolle Erholung in ruhiger Umgebung...

Das Haus ist toll aufgeteilt. Die Zimmer sind alle sehr schön und gemütlich. Die Ausstattung der Küche lässt keine Wünsche offen. Ein Gastgeber der sich von a-z Gedanken gemacht hat. Fazit: Jederzeit wieder 👍

Is a lovely place only downside for the time of year pool is not heated .

Only downside is pool not heated so couldn't go in it until late afternoon when it had warmed up a bit which was difficult to explain to a 3 year old. Other then that the property was excellent well equipped and full of character and colour scheme was brilliantly matched. Would definitely recommend and return again. Thankyou Russ.

Agréable bâtisse au calme

De grands volumes très agréables notamment la terrasse couverte. Très calme. Environnement verdoyant. Très bien équipée. Ballade à pied ou à vélo en partant de la maison. Courses à 15mn. Nous avons vraiment passé une très agréable semaine.

Idéal pour des retrouvailles en famille

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. La maison est fonctionnelle, confortable et très bien équipée. Très bien avec des enfants : des jeux d'extérieur sont mis à disposition. Il y a un grand jardin. La propriété est calme. Merci pour le panier garni d'accueil. Steve, à l'arrivée et Laurence au départ sont très sympathiques et à l'écoute. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Authentic farm

"Les cerises" is an authentic "Charentais" farm which is nicely renovated and very well equipped. Especially the kitchen is fantastic with its oven. Also the fantastic terras and the surrounding grounds we loved. We did stay for 2 weeks late september. The first week was very warm and therefore we used the lovely pool several times. The services from the french Lady for the owner were perfect. The villages Courcoury and Chaniers are reel French and very quiet. The Charente maritime is a lovely Departement. Authentic French and with an interesting coast.

Family Summer holiday 2019

As a party of 9 (4 adults, 5 children) we couldn’t fault the property! Peaceful location and perfect house - well equipped and very clean. The pool was such a bonus - it was very hot when we stayed and we spent lots of time in the pool cooling off! The surrounding area has lots to offer - we visited the towns of Saintes and Cognac as well as the beaches at Royan and Côte Sauvage - all of which were really fun days out! We all highly recommend the house!

Spacious, well equipped, perfect retreat!

Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate everyone comfortably. Kitchen is modern and well equipped with large fridge and and extra one in the utility room with additional separate freezer. Living space is big and airy. Outside dining area is well shaded for those hot afternoons chilling out looking at the fantastic view. The pool is a very short distance away from the house, it's got its own toilet and sink facilities and we all enjoyed it. There is a lovely restaurant in nearby village Courcoury and great creperie in nearby village of Chaniers where there is a little supermarket for your supplies and you can take a little ferry across the river! Nearby Saintes has loads of restaurants and shops and larger supermarket. We really enjoyed our stay and would stop here again! Great communication with the owner too. We had fantastic weather which was a bonus.

Lovely home, great rural, quiet setting.

Great house for large family. Exceptionally clean, with welcome basket of goodies. We all thoroughly enjoyed home and pool for quick refreshing dips, sadly weather not great. So many wonderful sites to visit and many great brochures at house for recommendations. Great place to visit!!!! Thank Russ for a great stay.

Wonderful week!!

Second time at this house, our family of four and friends' family of five. Days spent swimming in the pool or fishing in the river in Chaniers (take the ferry!) Day trips to Saintes and Cognac highly recommended. Unfortunately the weather took a turn for the worst on the last day, which scuppered our plans for a boat cruise in Saintes, but its always nice to have something to look forward to for next time. Evenings spent around the BBQ on the terrace, listening to cicadas, watching the deer emerge from the forest and then being entertained by the bats. Best of all, kids and adults alike making wonderful memories of time well spent. House is really well equipped, everything an extended group like ours needed to cater for itself and stay comfortable, lovely welcome pack on arrival (the la Goudale beer was a particular favourite and subsequently sought out in the supermarket!). Pool was warm (ish!) and clean, we literally couldn't keep the kids out of it. Thanks to Russ the owner for great communication during the booking process and also to Marie Pierre for efficient communication with us on arrival, all went very much to plan despite the long journey from the UK.

Excellent accomodation, location etc

Excellent accommodation, you name it this property pretty much has it. We were a party of 4 this year but it can easily accommodate a larger group without you feeling on top of each other. The location of the property is fantastic, very peaceful, lots to see and do locally and in the surrounding areas. Both the owner and his team in France are friendly and extremely helpful. One great thing about the property is that the cost of the cleaning is included, which is great as this means you can relax right up until the time you leave. We have provisionally booked to return in 2019 and 2020!

Delightfully peaceful and tranquil

We had a wonderful stay at this farmhouse, just outside Saintes. We were attending our son's wedding in August 2016 and booked this property which was well appointed, spacious and situated in a quiet rural setting, ideally suiting our needs. The farmhouse was extremely well-equipped and we wanted for nothing. Most of our evenings were spent dining on the terrace, with a bottle of local French wine, enjoying the tranquillity of our surroundings and watching the wildlife. The highlight for us was the marvellous walled swimming pool which was well used by all our party including our grandchildren and we felt confident in the knowledge that all the safety requirements had been met. From the outset we found Russ, the owner, to be available and helpful in every way from the beginning of the booking process to the end of our stay. We would highly recommend this farmhouse for a holiday destination and certainly we hope to return ourselves.

Very large roomy farmhouse. Clean, well appointed

Wonderful, large,spacious farmhouse with 3 ensuit bedrooms The twin bedroom had a large bathroom with shower next door . We had a party of 8 and there was plenty of room to spread out and do your own thing . Enormous kitchen with table and large dining room made us all feel very relaxed . There is a large outdoor area with barbeque and most of our meals were taken there The swimming pool was well used and here is a toilet, shower and kitchen which compliments the sunloungers and umbrella. We loved the remoteness of the farmhouse and were surrounded by fields with crops. We played badminton most evenings on the lawn and saw birds, deer and hares. There is an orchard in the grounds and we would pick the apricots and mulberries. When we arrived there was a basket on the kitchen table filled with local produce. It had bread, cheese, wine and fruit. We thought it was a lovely touch to get our holiday started. We did miss walking down to a local shop in the mornings for our bread. It was too far and the safest way was by car..The town of Saintes is only 30 mins away and has lovely cobbled streets, markets, churches and restaurants. We spent a day in Royan which is a typical beach town with plenty restaurants and sunloungers for hire.You can also hire bikes there and there is good cycle paths to keep you safe .We had a day in Bordeaux which is over an hour away but if you like stunning architecture this is a must .It is not for children .They'd get bored. The only downside to the farmhouse was there was no air conditioning or ceiling fans . When we were there it was very hot and we went out and bought fans. We left 2 of them there. We were there June/July so be warned .We bought them in the enormous supermarket outside Saintes. This year we found petrol and diesel very cheap compared to the uk .

Just a quick note to the owners.... THANK YOU. We loved the property... plenty of space and well equipped, we ate outside every night. Children and adults loved the pool. We also saw plenty of wildlife: Deer, storks, owls, bats.

Super!!

Just returned from a one week family holiday in this lovely house. Our ages ranged from 3 to 68 years and there was something for everyone. Lots of room for outdoor games, lovely swimming pool, great BBQ area which we used most evenings. There are some great places to visit and not too far away. Shopping for essentials, recommend Netto and HyperU. Would recommend to anyone wanting a restful holiday in beautiful surroundings. Contact with the owner helped to make all arrangements easier for us.

Lovely French farmhouse

A very well appointed and spacious house in beautiful quiet surroundings. We holidayed here with our 3 small children and another family and the house was so big that everybody had their own space. The grounds and pool are great, although as it's unheated so the pool was a little chilly in May but I'm sure would be perfect later in the summer. It is a fantastic base for exploring this region of France with many sights within an hour by car and the beach approx 35mins. We would definitely recommend this house and the area to anybody looking to explore south-west France.

Fantastic Stay.

We have just returned from an excellent break at this farmhouse. We went with the aim of a family holiday and to celebrate a major birthday. The 1st week we had family visiting and the 2nd friends. We had 3 generations at one point and the venue really worked. It is very tranquil, large and well presented and is well equipped. We really felt at home and would recommend this to others who want a relaxing break in a lovely setting.
