Dear Justin Thank you so much for such a lovely review of your stay at Villa Legarda especially after being present on Kefalonia during such a horrendous storm which caused so much damage, having no electricity for days but still cracking on the best that you all could. During 2020 it was touch and go as to when holidays could be taken, you managed it then had the storm. I have forwarded your review to our Managers as it is lovely for their efforts to be recognised because they try very hard, in sometimes scorching temperatures, to make sure every holiday goes without hitch and that guests have a lovely time and stay at the villa. This year, again, was not as normal as they were unable to meet you on arrival and to carry out personal bed and linen charge due to being compliant with the current Greek Government Regulations relating to the health and well-being of everyone during the Coronavirus pandemic. Dear Anne Thank you for your review of your stay at Villa Legarda. Reviews are extremely important because not only do they assist a traveller in choosing the best place for their holiday but also the owner in ensuring everything is as described and any problems alleviated. Goats in Kefalonia, or any Greek island for that matter, can appear from anywhere, even on a bend in the road. The area to the right going down to the villa isn't for goats but occasionally they decide to come down from the hills to find food and theres an abundance of greenery in that area, they don't appear too often as they frequent other places. I based the "10 minute stroll" into the village, and back, on my husband as he was an ideal candidate in that he's now 71 and absolutely hates walking and is particularly slow.. The pergola to the side of the villa was constructed for some shade on hot and sunny days, it isn't particularly designed for sitting out on rainy days as the patio door adjacent to it provides the same view and fresh air. I am taking your comment regarding this on board to consider for next season. I wasn't aware there were a problem with the pool lights until your review, however I have spoken to our manager who has said that he did speak to you and apologised but to fix the problem he would have to dig up the path to which he has confirmed you had said there was no problem and that you were fine with it. It would disrupt your stay for him to have done this work at that time. There's uplighting around the front of the villa next to the pool however the problem has to be located and sorted. For visibility from the road to the villa the local council have been asked to replace the light bulb and, as it seems not to have been done, I am going to contact them again. From what you have said in your review it appears you had amazing weather, which is always a plus, and enjoyed Skala. We do appreciate you choosing our villa for your holiday, thank you.
