Unser geräumiges, gut ausgestattetes Ferienhaus bietet französischen Charme und Charakter mit Stil und Komfort. Es ist ideal gelegen, um Orte von historischem / kulturellem Interesse zu besuchen. In der Nähe befinden sich die malerischen Städte Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Villereal, Monflanquin, Bergerac & Agen mit vielen Restaurants, Cafés und Bars. In den Sommermonaten bietet die Gegend auch viele Nachtmärkte, auf denen die Besucher die lokale Kultur, Musik und das Essen genießen können. Zu den Freizeitaktivitäten gehören Kanufahren / Kajakfahren auf den Flüssen Lot und Dordogne, Parc-en-Ciel (Kletterseile, Seilschaukeln usw.), Wandern, Radfahren und der Bonus eines 18-Loch-Meisterschaftsgolfplatzes, der weniger als 5 Minuten vom Ferienhaus entfernt liegt. Wir können auch drei komplette Sets von Herrenclubs und ein Set von Damen liefern. Wenn Sie also einfliegen oder der Kofferraum voll ist, müssen Sie sich keine Sorgen um Ihre Golfschläger machen. Alternativ können Sie einfach einen erholsamen Urlaub genießen und das Sommerwetter aufsaugen, das normalerweise um Mai beginnt und bis weit in den Oktober hinein andauert. Es gibt einen privaten Pool für die alleinige Nutzung der Gite-Gäste, 10 x 4,5 m (33ft x 15ft). .

Lovely Gite, Gorgeous Pool Area & Welcoming Hosts

Stayed here for the first time this summer for 10 days and loved it.Check-in and communication with Gary & Hilary was faultless.And they were incredibly helpful and welcoming when we arrived - offering us lots of tips on restaurants, night markets & places to go.And they provided so much in the gite you wouldn't normally get elsewhere - including pool towels and a really well-equipped kitchen & BBQ area.We absolutely loved the pool area - created in an old barn, it's so lovely and private and when you open the big doors at the shallow end the view across the fields at sunset is fantastic.Wouldn't hesitate to return and would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Brilliant holiday

We had a fantastic stay. The property was well appointed and looked after. Beautiful well-kept gardens, BBQ and the swimming pool is just perfect. Large, clean and secluded. Wouldn't hesitate in returning!

wonderful Teyssie

We had a lovely,relaxing and fantastic week at Hilary and Gary's superb gite. it was behind their own house but we had virtually complete freedom to use their beautiful pool, and managed to explore the lovely countryside. The property was surrounded by fruit orchards, and we enjoyed a very sociable rapport with Hilary and Gary themselves who were perfect hosts.

Perfect Getaway Property

This was our fourth visit to Teyssie and the welcome from Hilary and Gary was as warm as ever. In the five years since our last visit they have made a number of improvements to the outside of the property, adding even more to the comfort of the garden area. As always, the property is beautifully maintained and the equipment and welcome pack provided everything we could have needed and more. Hilary and Gary live on the site, and were always available to give help with local knowledge, without intruding at all on our privacy. The local area provides plenty to see for the visitor and we can, as on our previous visits, heartily recommend this property,

Weekend Break

We have just returned home from a lovely few days at Teyssie cottage, we had a great short break enjoying rural France. This was our second time visiting Teyssie. This location is very accessible from Bergerac airport (approx 35 minute drive) which has great links to London Stansted. The cottage itself has a lovely charm with its French rustic character and feels like a home from home, very comfortable accommodation. The owners are very hospitable and make sure you have everything you need and nothing is too much trouble. We love this property and location; we will definitely visit again! This property is very versatile as it could be used for a diverse range of holiday types. Lots to see an do in a 20-30 minute radius. Golf course very close by, 2-3 minutes in car.

Summer holiday 2015 at Teyssie

Our family of 5 (2 adults & 3 boys aged 4, 11 & 14) have just returned from a 2 week stay at Teyssie. The Cottage was perfect – clean, well-equipped and comfortable with crisp, clean bedding and an abundance of towels - thank you Hilary! The pool was perfect and the boys particularly enjoyed gorging themselves on plums from the orchard during swimming breaks! Teyssie is in a beautiful & tranquil setting and yet only 10 mins drive from Villeneuve sur Lot – which is handy for provisions or a meal out. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and Hilary & Gary were extremely friendly & welcoming throughout. Like many other guests, we are sure to return. Hilary & Gary - you have been warned ! Best hosts and immaculate Gite

We have been in self catering gites and accommodation in France for the last ten years and at several locations each year. This year we were lucky enough to book with Hilary and Gary at Teyssie and I can honestly say they were the most welcoming and thoughtful hosts for our family which consisted of grandparents parents and two young children. It is a beautiful location in rural France with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. The accommodation is immaculate with lovely bedding. There is a private large garden with sun loungers and two tables which we used one in the sun for breakfast. The other for our evening meal. The covered area at the front is a lovely place to relax in the heat of the day. Mt favourite place was washing line hill admiring the tranquility and views what better way to do your laundry. Around and about lots of lovely villages to visit. The evening markets where they eat and drink great fun and cheap good wine! We all hope to revisit for the perfect holiday .

Idyllic escape

What can I say about Hilary and Gary that hasn't already been said?! We couldn't have asked for more sensational hosts. So warm and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. It is evident that their guests' happiness is paramount to them. The gite is perfectly well equipped with EVERYTHING you could need. Hilary has obviously gone to great effort to make the gite feel like a home from home, I wish we could have stayed longer. We found morning croissants in a bakery 5km away in Cancon and the supermarket around 20 mins away is HUGE and has all the french treats you could hope for. A great location, we enjoyed meals out in Bergerac and Montflanquin. Bergerac airport is easily accessible - just one straight road! We LOVED the cows in the field behind the gite - we loved hearing them mooooo during the days (spot the city dwellers!) Thankfully I was able to squeeze a few pots of Hilary's homemade jam and chutney in my suitcase so I can get holiday feels for a little while longer. :)

A truly wonderful place

We have just returned from a wonderful week's stay at Teyssie. It was the perfect place to spend a quiet week enjoying the house, the garden, the barbeque and the pool, which was cleaned and opened for us at 10am every morning and closed again at 8pm. The location was brilliant in terms of being able to enjoy the peace and tranquillity on offer as well as being within easy reach of shops for our provisions, including bakeries and supermarkets. It seemed as if everything was a short 10 minute drive away although we found we just wanted to make the most of staying put. Hilary & Gary are very accommodating hosts and made available toys and games for our boys. Lots of pool floats, armbands etc. We also found a lovely welcome pack with very helpful (and tasty) initial provisions. And Hilary even went to the trouble of finding us some pineapple juice when we forgot to purchase some for our Pina Colada's! All in all, a genuinely wonderful choice for our peaceful getaway. We were in the area for friends wedding and a few friends popped by to see us and all were equally impressed with our choice. We would return without any hesitation. Thank you so much Hilary & Gary.

Fabulous well-equipped Gite with amazing pool and views

We stayed at Teyssie for two weeks in August as it was close to the location of my brothers wedding. The Gite is located around 40 minutes from Bergerac airport and is very easy to find as it is one straight road from the airport to the Gite. The Gite is set in beautiful countryside with cows grazing at the back of the Gite. The pool is simply amazing. It is set in the walls of an old barn so is a bit of a sun trap and the doors can be opened so that you can enjoy the views from the pool. Myself and my family spent many days relaxing and playing in and around the pool. The Gite itself is very homely and well-equipped, there is nothing that the owners Hilary and Gary haven't thought off: - a pushchair, high chairs, cots, potty's for toilet training and even nappy bags in each bathroom for little ones. - DVDs and games for indoors - Outside games such as tennis rackets, badminton, boules along with various floats and inflatables for the pool. - A folder packed with useful information on the local area including English speaking doctors, local supermarkets with maps and place to visit. There is an outdoor BBQ and three outdoor seating areas with walks literally outside the front door. The local farmer even brought us a basket full of plums to enjoy during our stay. Most of our time was spent enjoying the Gite and pool, although the local area has lots to do and during our stay we visited Lac Lougratte, Monflanquin and Chateau Le Stelsia an amazingly wacky hotel with a great park you can walk around and the best crazy golf I've ever visited! Last but certainly not least the owners Gary & Hilary are two of the loveliest people you will ever meet. They did not at all intrude during the stay but did everything they could to make sure we enjoyed our time at the Gite. From finding the fridge stocked with meats, cheese, butter, eggs, milk and not one but three bottles of wine as well as fresh bread and croissants upon arrival, to changing over the swing to a toddler swing and bringing over a garage, along with boxes of cars, lego and stickle bricks for our son to play with and going out of their way to collect us from my brothers wedding. They are so warm and welcoming and make a fantastic Gite a fabulous one and we would love to visit again. My 4 year old son loved our holiday! When we asked him what he enjoyed most he said... the sun, the pool, the cows, the swings and Gary & Hilary! Pretty accurate summary!

Rijke cultuur & prachtige vergezichten

Geweldig genoten op deze schilderachtige locatie in de heuvels, tussen de pruimen bomen. Hele lieve hosts die je privacy maar ook hulp bieden waar nodig. Kids vonden het ook top in het zwembad!

Endroit Tranquille, piscine au top !

Location satisfaisante dans l’ensemble. Manque d’ustensiles de cuisson en bon état, heureusement il y a le barbecue ! Attention pour les accros Zone d’accès Wifi limité ! Propriétaire très gentils et très discrets !

thank you for your comments regarding our gite. At the end of the season we look at the comments to see if we can make improvememts. I am at a loss to understand your comment about lack of good quality cooking utensils. We have been into the gite to inspect the pans etc and we can confirm the pans are all of good quality and undamaged, no dents or broken handles. two of the saucepans were bought for this season both with insulated handles. A photo has been put on this site to show they are in good condition and quality not old. I have also checked the cooker and it is functioning correctly. There is more than adequate small utensils. Concerning your comments on WIFI we had issues with our national supplier where our line was dropping in and out, ths was reported to them but unfortunately they did not attend to the problem until after your departure and it proved to be a fault on the line from the main road along the chemin. This was a problem that was out of our hands. However, I apologize for the inconvenience of the WIFI . If your comments relate to something else and I have misinterpreted your reference to your words utensils please notify me of exactly what is it that you feel is lacking in the gite. Then we can endeavour to address it properly. We always strive to keep the gite in perfect condition and with the maximum accessories to enable us to make everyones time spent here emjoyable.

Super séjour

Un très bon séjour, la maison est très bien localisée, au calme, en pleine nature. La piscine est très agréable et située dans une ancienne grange, ce qui donne un charme indéniable à la chose. L’accueil est chaleureux et les propriétaires très attentionnés. Bref encore merci !

Séjour au calme

Séjour au calme

Endroit très dépaysant en pleine campagne. Maison ancienne avec beaucoup de charme, bien rénovée, fraîche mais assez sombre. La piscine est très agréable et sécurisée. Une famille d’agriculteurs/éleveurs de vaches et veaux vit à proximité et est particulièrement sympathique et accueillante. Les propriétaires sont sérieux et disponibles (ils logent juste à côté mais savent rester discrets tout en restant présents si besoin). À noter que la communication ne s’est faite qu’en anglais. Pour conclure, des vacances en famille très agréables et reposantes.

Thank you for your kind review I take on board your comments about communication. We had no issues concerning language communication with each other, I fully understand our French is not as good as your English, in our review we also mentioned communication but it was not about language skills our only point of concern was that all your extra guests arriving ie., one adult one child on the Friday, then Saturday additional 4 adults plus their children we did our utmost to accommodate your extra holiday needs, ie., bedding, towels, etc and that is the only concern we had regarding communication. . Had we been told in advance of your arrival then better preparations could have been made to accommodate your needs and hopefully made the holiday better.

Wonderful stay !

The cottage is a wonderful place to stay ! The garden and the pool are fantastic and cooking in the kitchen is real pleasure. The surroundings are full of tracks to hike and ride.

Wonderful

We had a wonderful 2 week stay. The house was lovely, the grounds were lovely and the pool was just the icing on the cake! The house had everything that we needed for our two weeks. Very relaxing and enjoyable. We would definitely recommend Teyssie to our family and friends.

A restful place in the country.

We enjoyed our stay in this thoughtfully, well equipped gite with unexpected extras and the welcome pack. The sheltered pool was lovely and well maintained with loungers & sunshades. Hilary & Gary were most kind & welcoming, concerned that our stay would be enjoyable. There are covered outside areas for al fresco eating. For us city dwellers it was a real change to be in a rural setting. We especially enjoyed watching the wildlife, lots of nesting birds & fledglings during our visit. The Lot valley with its rolling hills is beautiful and there are lots of bastides to visit. We would certainly like to make a return visit.

Absolutely fabulous holiday, glorious gite

Upon arrival the gite was very clean and well presented. Hillary and Gary provided a lovely welcome pack of basic essentials and a few extras. The gite is really well equipped and I can't think of anything that wasn't there that you would need. The pool area is lovely and private and feels very luxurious. There are sunbeds, umbrellas, and shaded gazebo. We had lots of bbqs and made the most of eating outside. We had a hire car and enjoyed trips out in the local area, a lake, evening and day food markets. Would recommend to others.

An exceptionally attractive and well equipped property

We have now made three visits to Teyssie, and the welcome that we received from Hilary and Gary was as warm as ever. The property is very comfortable and is exceptionally well equipped. The unseasonably cold and wet September weather meant that we did not sample the new swimming pool, but it is clearly a very elegant and attractive addition to the property. Its rural location means that it is exceptionally quiet and (weather permitting) allows spectacular views of the night sky, unspoiled by light pollution. The owners live immediately adjacent to the property and are available to help with any problems, but they at no time intruded on our privacy. The local area has a number of attractive Bastide towns that are well worth a visit, and there are several other tourist attractions for the visitor. The city of Villeneuve-sur Lot is less appealing, though there is a good selection of shops and the E Leclerc hypermarket on the outskirts of the city is an easy drive away and provides for all one’s needs. We can thoroughly recommend Teyssie to any potential visitors, and we extend our sincere thanks once more to Hilary and Gary for their efforts to give us a really enjoyable holiday.

A fantastic cottage with an amazing pool

We have just got back from two weeks in this property and had a fantastic time. The cottage is modern, very clean and is equipped with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay. There are 3 outside seating areas and an excellent pool that is situated within the walls of an old barn. The pool area itself is stunning and we spent a lot of time there in the sun. The owners, Gary and Hilary did everything they could to make our stay a pleasurable as possible. We would highly recommend this property and would like to return again. It is easily the best French cottage we have stayed with our family and the cottage, outside areas and the pool are all amazing.

Au calme

Séjour au calme dans une belle maison. Accueil très sympa de nos hôtes anglais. Prévenants , présents mais jamais envahissants. Literie de qualité Extérieur sympa avec barbecue et table à l'ombre Plein de jeux à dispo Belle et grande piscine Le petit moins : elle n'est pas chauffée mais séjour fin mai et deja assez chaude pour s'y baigner . Protection par couverture en dur Pas d'accès internet et wifi partout dans la maison (on l'a dit : au calme ...) Et chaînes télé uniquement en anglais Bref malgré des petits moins en fin de texte , plein de gros plus qui font aimer et conseiller.

After searching for nearly three years for our ideal early reitirement venture we found Teyssie which is a beautiful house and with a superb gite. I immediately knew it was the perfect home. We moved here in January 2012 and haven't looked back.
I was successfully running a pre school and my husband Gary had his own Interiors business for over 30 years.
One of the many criteria we had when house hunting was that we would have great views, and yes the views are stunning, we are surrounded by countryside and orchards. Plus as we are both golfers the Villeneuve Golf and Country Club is just a couple of minutes from us.
Now we are enjoying a different sort of work, but its a pleasure and we can go at our own pace whilst gardening and preparing the gite for our most welcome guests.

It was the views that sold the place to us, both at our own house and the gite and gardens. It's our retirement venture, it has everything we were looking for, near to a championship golf course and close to a town which offers all you want. It has easy access to the N21 but also peace and quiet. we had finally found the perfect location

The gite can offer tranquility and relaxation with rural aspects but offering easy access major towns and airports including Bergerac which is only 25 minutes away. Also only 10 mins away from a popular wedding venue, which has proven to be very handy with gite guests.
The gite comes with its own good size private pool and garden for guests to either sit and relax or for younger guests to kick a ball around. The gite has all you need, and guests are delighted at how well it is presented and equipped.
