Dear Fiona, Thank you for the review of your stay in Chateau de Charras. Reviews are a good way for visitors to offer feedback on their stay and as such are invaluable to owners. So sorry that you had an adverse reaction to the feather pillows but good to hear that our host Jo responded quickly to provided you with suitable pillows. In future we will ensure guests have a choice of clearly labelled pillows. So, thank you for that. In addition, we will look at the amount of furniture in the apartment with fresh eyes the next time we are there. It’s always a fine balance of attempting to meet the needs of a wide range of visitors but we are always trying to be ‘a lot better’. We agree that the Chateau grounds are indeed amazing as are the views from the apartment terrace. Hi Alison, Thank you for your booking and review. I'm pleased to inform our future visitors that the kitchen has now been gutted and completely refurbished including the addition of a dishwasher. It too is now 'to die for' Also, for 2018 the lounge has been decorated as has the bedroom and bathroom, We are looking forward to welcoming our future guests, including yourselves, to Charras in 2018 to a fresh and even better appointed apartment and holiday experience. Hello Jordan, Bob and I would like to thank you for the comprehensive review of your stay in Chateau Charras. It sounds as though you and your family were busy doing and seeing as much as you could in the short time you had in Poitou Charantes. We were delighted to welcome you to our special place. We’re pleased to say that we have now managed to source the period door handles and they look just right. It’s been a bit of a mission seeking out the appropriate handles that truly reflect the grandeur of the apartment. Also, it’s good to inform you and future visitors that in 2016 the tennis court is to be re- surfaced and the shared heated swimming pool re – lined. So if you choose to revisit you’ll be able to make the most of your top- spin and backhand pass. Finally, we noted your comment regarding the number of other guests visiting the Chateau by staying in other associated period apartments. Mid-August is the busiest time of the year especially as it is ‘school holiday time’ and as you reported a haven for family games and, if guests so wish, meeting other like minded people. Outside the August period it’s a beautiful, rejuvenating and tranquil place with far fewer visitors. We hope that you and your family seek out another great holiday destination in 2016.
