Unser liebevoll renoviertes Fischerhaus befindet sich im malerischen Dorf Balintore, Easter Ross. 8 1/2 wurde erweitert, um luxuriöse Ferienunterkünfte anzubieten. Im historischen Zentrum dieses Dorfes in den Highlands gelegen, behält das Cottage seinen ursprünglichen Charme, bietet jedoch moderne Einrichtungen und bietet ein echtes schottisches Hochland von zu Hause aus. Das Ferienhaus liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße und ist ein ausgezeichneter Ort zum Entspannen, während Sie die Highlands erkunden. Das charmante Dorf Pub und Hotel sind nur einen kurzen Spaziergang entfernt. Die Unterkunft erstreckt sich über zwei Etagen. Von der Unterkunft genießen Sie Aussicht über das Dorf auf den nahe gelegenen Hügel Nigg. Draußen gibt es einen großen Garten hinter dem Haus mit Rasen, Grill und Sitzgelegenheiten.

Family stay in wonderful cottage

We had a very pleasant stay with our family of 5. As we have older childeren it is very nice to have more then 1 bathroom. The house is very well equiped and by car easy trips are done to other nice places.

First visit of scotland

The cottage in Balintore is the perfect base for visiting the northern highlands route NC500 by car. The cottage is very large, all You need is available, hosts are so kind, and friendly, we recommend that cottage completely. It was our first visit in scotland at all, we love country and people.

Amazing Cottage

What an amazing cottage, cosy, comfortable and so well quipped - all you could think of and more!It is well placed in the village near the harbour, beautiful Shandwick Bay...and the well stocked Spar.There are Pictish Stones nearby and the nearby Seaboard Hall serves delicious breakfasts and lunches. It is opposite The Mermaid of the North statue and also Three Salmon.The Discovery Centre at Portmahomack sa good visit and the Glenmorangie Distillery in Tain

Absolutely Wonderful Place and Owner!

Christel was a wonderful host. The cottage was so pretty and Christel provided games, books and movies to occupy those rainy days or evenings. The cottage is just a block or so from the market and the beach. There are plenty of historical places to visit and great hiking in the area. I highly recommend this as a get away in the Highlands.

Lovely time

We had a fabulous time in Balintore and the surrounding area. 8 1/2 John St was a great find. The house was excellent and much bigger than photographs suggest. Very comfortable and banana loaf and milk in fridge when we arrived was much appreciated. Lots of great walks along beautiful beaches and lovely local towns within easy drive. Would definitely recommend the house and the area.

Beautiful holiday cottage

Lovely cottage on a side street. Warm and welcoming owner who met us at the property. Everything you could possibly need in the house. House is clean, cosy and comfortable, its a home from home. Its in a small village on the coast with a beautiful sandy beach just 10 minute walk away. Very quiet village, great base for visiting other places in the area.

Super accomodation in a super location

This was a super holiday accommodation. It was easy to find and Christel was very friendly and helpful. There was milk, tea, coffee and biscuits left for us which was much needed after a long journey. The house was clean and had everything needed. The beds were also comfortable which is always important. There's plenty to do and Christel will give you advice if you are stuck for ideas. I would highly recommend this holiday property.

We had a wonderful stay at fishermans cottage. Greeted with home made banana bread and milk in the fridge for a much needed cuppa! The house is incredible, real home from home we didnt want for anything! Super clean, loved the fluffiness and fresh smelling towels! So much bigger on the inside than the front of the house. Only thing i would say is to put on more pictures on Vrbo. The few just dont do it justice! We have recommended it to many of our friends and family.

Outstanding Base for Highlands

The description of the property was perfect. From the comfort of the beds, bathroom facilities, right through to excellent kitchen facilities and comfort of the living room. This cottage could not have offered more complete comfort. Located off the beaten track. It was easy to get to from the A-9 and offered a perfect base to travel the complete Highlands. If golf was your thing, there were many excellent courses within close proximity. We would highly recommend this Balintore cottage to anyone looking for an extended stay in Scotland.

Perfect stay in beautiful surroundings

We had the great pleasure of staying in a beautifully decorated house in a lovely area. The house is equipped with everything you need - and even more. The attention to detail and the cozy atmosphere made us feel immediately welcome.A particular highlight was the delicious welcome cake that the host's daughter baked for us - a wonderful gesture that sweetened the start of our vacation.David, the host, is incredibly friendly and attentive. You can tell that the well-being of his guests is very important to him.We really enjoyed our time there, felt completely at ease and will definitely be back. 8 1/2 John Street is run by Christel Johnstone. Her husband, David, works away and renovated 8 1/2 over two years. David was born in the village of Balintore and met Christel when she owned one of the local hotels. They married several years ago and still live in the village.

Balintore is one of the Seaboard villages situated on the east coast of Ross-shire, in the Scottish Highlands.
Over looking the Moray Firth, Balintore was a traditional fishing village. The centrally located harbour is just a minutes walk from the house.

The peaceful village location offers essential amenities and is an ideal base for exploring the Highlands.
Although Easter Ross is a remote rural area the city of Inverness is only 40 minutes by car.
We have lived in Balintore for many years and love the area.

Centrally located in the picturesque village of Balintore, Easter Ross, 8 1/2 is a recently renovated fisherman's cottage, extended to offer 3 bedroom luxury holiday accommodation.

The cottage is situated in the centre of the village but is also minutes from the beach, harbour and open countryside.

The newly renovated and extended cottage offers the character of a traditional cottage with the convenience and luxury of contemporary fittings and design. There is full central heating, a modern kitchen and bathrooms.

After spending a day at the beach or on long country walks, take an evening stroll to the local pub for your nightcap and a chat before settling down in front of the log burning stove for a snooze.

8 1/2 is an ideal base for exploring the Highlands.
