Dieses Haus liegt direkt am See und verfügt über ein eigenes Doppeldeck-Dock (ja, Sie können von oben springen, wenn Sie sich trauen), das mit Kanus, Tretbooten, Kajaks und Stand-Up-Paddle-Boards ausgestattet ist. Ein saisonaler Pontonverleih ist gegen eine zusätzliche Gebühr verfügbar, damit Sie diesen schönen, großen See nach Herzenslust erkunden können.

Dieses gehobene Haus verfügt über drei Schlafzimmer und drei Badezimmer und bietet bequem Platz für bis zu 10 Gäste. Mit einem großen, überdachten Deck können Sie grillen und die atemberaubende Aussicht genießen (Sie können vielleicht den malerischen Zug der Great Smoky Mountain Railways über das Wasser nehmen) oder Mahlzeiten für die Familie in der großen, gut ausgestatteten Küche zubereiten . Fangen Sie Fisch vom privaten Dock zum Abendessen, braten Sie Marshmallows an der Feuerstelle im Freien oder laufen Sie die ruhige Schotterstraße entlang. Müde von Aktivitäten? Sehen Sie sich einen Film auf der riesigen Projektionsleinwand des Heimkinos an oder entspannen Sie sich mit einem großartigen Roman aus der großen Bibliothek. Alt und Jung finden am See viel zu tun. Müssen Sie mit der Arbeit einchecken? Satelliten-Wi-Fi ist vorhanden.

Das Erdgeschoss des Hauses verfügt über zwei Schlafzimmer und zwei Bäder (ein Kingsize- und ein Queensize-Bett), während im Erdgeschoss ein großes Schlafzimmer für Kinder oder junge Familien (ein Doppelbett und zwei Etagenbetten) und ein zusätzliches Bad vorhanden sind. Die beiden Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss verfügen über Flachbildfernseher mit Direkt-TV-Satellit und Blu-ray-Player. Das Familienzimmer im Erdgeschoss bietet ein großes Heimkinosystem mit Surround-Sound. Das Hauptwohnzimmer verfügt über einen beeindruckenden Kamin aus gestapelten Steinen für gemütliche Nächte. Das Familienzimmer im Erdgeschoss verfügt über Gas-Protokolle.

Die Terrasse im Erdgeschoss verfügt über einen großen Whirlpool, der zum Entspannen einlädt.

Der Fontana-See ist Teil des TVA-Systems und variiert das ganze Jahr über. Der See ist normalerweise vom Memorial Day bis zum Labor Day voll ausgelastet. Unser Dock bleibt das ganze Jahr über im Wasser, obwohl in den Wintermonaten einige Überquerungen über felsige Ufer erforderlich sind (meine Kinder lieben es, diese "Mondlandschaft" zu erkunden.) Stufen führen Sie das ganze Jahr über hinunter zum Steg und zum See. Wenn Sie jedoch Gäste haben, die Schwierigkeiten mit Treppen haben, können Sie zum Jachthafen fahren und diese dort abholen, um den Zugang zum See zu erleichtern. Bitte beachten Sie auch, dass die untere Ebene des Hauses über eine Wendeltreppe im Inneren des Hauses zugänglich ist (es gibt auch allmählichere Außentreppen). Dies kann für kleine Kinder gesperrt werden, Eltern sollten dies jedoch beachten.

Great time with family

Perfect Thanksgiving gathering place

This was a perfect spot for our families to gather for theThanksgiving holiday. We were blessed to have a full day on the lake (canoes and kayaks), then the next day (rainy) we enjoyed being tourists in Bryson City. We hope to return to this lovely location in the future!

Family Vacation

Perfect family Christmas getaway

This house is lovelier than the photos, super comfortable, incredibly well-stocked and was just the dream setting for a blended family holiday week, including the pups. Awesome artwork, beautiful views, comfortable beds, terrific amenities. We hope to return one summer to enjoy the boat/water toys!!

Wonderful family get away lake home

The hosts and home were one of the best we have ever rented in the the fontanna lake area. The house was well stocked, very clean, , access to lake wonderful and communication with hosts excellent! Can’t say enough about this fontanna lake home.

AMAZING Property!

We had a group of 10 stay and were all extremely comfortable. The house was stocked with everything we needed and more. Toys and games for the kids were such a nice surprise. The neighborhood is quiet and private. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Great lake house!

Plenty of room for extended family and kids. We rented the pontoon for the week and that was the best part. Wonderful hot tub and decks overlooking the lake. Great communication with the hosts who responded quickly to any concerns. Would go back!

Lakeside Stay

We absolutely love this area, and staying at this house made our vacation. The location was fabulous — morning coffee on the deck listening to the birds was a great way to start the day. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. And ending the day watching the sunset as we grilled was perfection. The kitchen was fully stocked which made meals at home easy to prepare. We all enjoyed family movie nights on the large projection TV. Esther and Wayne were so welcoming and easy to deal with. Thank you for the memories!

Mountain Lake House Paradise

Our family enjoyed a week in this beautiful lake house. This place is in a gated community with lots of privacy. The house is well stocked with plenty of room. The view from the deck and dock is incredible. The use of the boat was a huge bonus! Unfortunately, now my wife wants a house on lake Fontana. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return next summer.

Another Fantastic Week at Fontana

This was our second time staying at Wayne and Esther’s house. We had a fantastic week! The house is clean, kitchen has everything you need (and more!), beds are very comfy, outdoor spaces are prefect (rain or shine), and above all else, Fontana Lake is so beautiful! We rented the boat and greatly appreciate the convenience and value it provides. We cruised everyday and explored the lake and rivers. We have visited the lake 6 times and this is the only property we’ve had a repeat stay. We’ll be back!!

Fantastic location - wonderful house for family vacation!

We have visited Fontana multiple times and this house / location combo is our favorite. We’ve also done a lot of VRBO rentals over the years and this property is amoung the best! Location: The house is the closest we’ve stayed to Bryson City (groceries mainly) and the NOC (white water rafting and other outdoor activities). You are a 5 minute boat ride from the Almond marina. We got ice there nearly everyday and gas for the boat. House: The house is wonderful! The layout is excellent for our large group (6 adults, 3 kids). The kitchen is larger enough for all the cooks ;-) and well equipped. The beds were all extremely comfortable with nice bedding. The house was very clean. The covered porch was perfect for sitting outside at all times of the day and watching the lake. We even sat comfortably on the porch during the brief rain showers. The house has a double garage which was perfect for storing our mountain bikes. Outdoors: The stairs down to the dock are good (other properties have much steeper journeys down to the dock). If stairs are not your thing, there is a golf cart - prefect!! The double decker dock made for tons of fun - kids jumped off the top deck and so did some of the braver adults. We rented the pontoon boat and enjoyed motoring around the lake. The house comes with multiple kayaks (both small for little kids and full size for adults), SUPs (stand up paddle boards), and even a canoe. Life jackets of all sizes were available. Check out: I was delighted by the short list of asks upon check out! We didn’t have to take the trash away from the house (have had to do that in other rentals in the area. Owners: Esther and Wayne were great - very laid back but very responsive when we had questions. Couldn’t have asked for more!

Paradise!

We celebrated our 35th anniversary with our adult children and their partners. I have visited Fontana Lake since I was a kid and love it! All the other reviewers have highlighted the many perks of this property and we agree with all of them! It’s amazing how much room you have to spread out and our party of 9 had plenty of room! The dock is really not a bad walk. If you don’t handle stairs well, there is a trail down to the dock that is less steep. Even though we had a lot of rain over our 4 day weekend, we spent as much time as possible on the water. Everyone but me jumped off the top deck!! It is a perfect place for dogs. The enormous deck is gated and they loved patrolling the lake and the woods from their secure location. This a house clearly designed to make the best use of family time! It was well worth the splurge and I envy Wayne and Esther their slice of paradise. It is divine!! It is the most well equipped rental you’ll ever find!

Fontana Family Vacation

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. It was so great the first time that we wanted to stay here again. Covid kept us from renting this home until 2022. We had another wonderful time here. Lots of watercraft to use, good dock and nice location on the lake.

Peaceful and Relaxing Stay

The property is in the mountains and very peaceful. The incline to the lake is pretty steep, but a great view. Well stocked kitchen. Nice place to recharge.

Incredible House

The drive to get to this house can be a bit tough, but it's worth it. The house is very well stocked and the inclusion of kayaks and paddleboards is a great bonus. The TV room was great fun for the family and is stocked with movies and books

Awesome Stay

A quiet, secluded place to relax and enjoy time with family. The leaves were beautiful and the fall mountain air was so refreshing! We will definitely be going back during warmer weather so we can access the dock and enjoy the water.

My family loved our stay. The house was as described - well stocked with everything we needed. We only left once to go for a hike at Deep Creek. We had a very relaxing time at the house and on the boat. We will be back. I give the hosts five stars!

There are so many wonderful things to do in this area--from white water rafting to mountain biking. But you might find that you only want to leave via the dock to play on the lake. This is a property where you can really get away from it all and entertain yourself just with what is available here at the property.
