Das Cottage liegt am Ende der West Street und bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick auf den Fluss. Es wurde sorgfältig und liebevoll auf höchstem Niveau restauriert. Es bietet Platz für bis zu 4 Personen. Die beiden Schlafzimmer und das Badezimmer befinden sich im Erdgeschoss, während der komfortable Wohn- / Essbereich und die Küche im Obergeschoss liegen, um den Blick über den Hafen auf Fowey und Readymoney Cove zu genießen. Der Küstenweg ist 50 Meter von der Tür und Fowey ist fünf Minuten mit der Fähre vom Hafen entfernt. Wir nehmen keine Haustiere. Wir haben WiFi. Wir bieten kostenlose Parkplätze ca. 100 Meter vom Ferienhaus entfernt.

Eine positive Erfahrung

Das erste Mal über FeWo-direkt gebucht und einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt gehabt. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und antworten sehr schnell auf Mails . Auch die Schlüsselübergabe ging reibungslos und unkompliziert. Das Objekt war genau wie beschrieben, war sauber und gemütlich und es hat nichts gefehlt. Die Aussicht aus dem Fenster beim Frühstück war ein Genuss. Die Liste mit Tipps für Unternehmungen in der Umgebung, die wir von den Vermietern erhalten hatten, war sehr hilfreich. Der Ort selbst ist hübsch,aber sehr beschaulich. Genauso wollten wir es zur Erholung haben. Uns hat es sehr,sehr gut gefallen und wir würden gerne einmal wieder dort Urlaub machen.

A change of Pace.

We enjoyed this nice little cottage.It has a good kitchen with quality appliances. The only suggestion we would make concerns the bath! It is very difficult for older adults to use , and i imagine difficult to wash very young children in too! A shower might be easier . It was a pleasure to visit Polruan and Fowey, and Mevagissy too, and we did not have a car!

Harbour life

What a fabulous week in a fantastic cottage with a stunning view. Great walks. Drop your car and spend the week using the boats to Fowey and ferry to Mevaggisey where you see dolphins along the way. Watch harbour life through the scenic window. Brilliant week all round.

Polruan getaway

Overall a wonderful experience. Polruan is lovely and quiet but only a short ferry ride across the water to Fowey- a larger town. Wonderful walks around Polruan and a lovely bakery as well as a cafe named Jam First which offers a good breakfast and huge coffees! The private car park is well located to the house and the house is in a great location very near the pubs and jetty. My only suggestion is to take a raincoat with a hood!

Quaint

Great little spot. Enjoyed being on the opposite side to Fowey as it’s a bit more “touristy” over there while the Polruan side was much quieter. Can recommend getting take away chips (and beers) from Lugger Inn and watching the sun coming down. The chocolate croissants at the cafe across from the Singing Kettle are great too! An all round lovely weekend.

September Cottage stay July 2023

We all enjoyed our stay at September Cottage. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and more! and the views were amazing. Communication with the owner was spot on - she provided us with detailed information beforehand which we found very useful.

Really comfortable cottage with amazing views

Perfect Perfect Perfect!

We luckily selected September Cottage for a 10 day stay - far too short. Our host provided information which made everything easy. We are fit seniors and enjoyed the walk into town to both pubs, coffee shop and store. With 2 bedrooms our son could visit and the upper sitting room had great views and was warm and comfortable for early May with a small fire. We hiked Halls walk, to Gibbin Head and saw a play at Minack theatre (a must), Newquay, Tintagal, Lands End etc. etc. All of the Polruan locals were friendly especially at the Abba Coronation celebration, ferry service to Fowey and Mevagissey excellent etc. etc. Nothing negative to say about September Cottage, Cornwall or a bit of rainy weather when prepared. Thank for renting to us.

Charming house, charming town

A great cottage in a picturesque town. A good place to relax by the sea, hear the crashing waves and watch the sailboats from the window. Whether you want to just stay nearby or roam there are many possibilities such as the coastal paths, the ferry across to Fowey with its shops or other fantastic towns in the area (Polperro being a favorite).

Quiet week away

After initial issues making the booking through the app, which was sorted out by the owner of the property - I was provided with a lot of information about the property together with a comprehensive list of places to visit. The cottage was as described on the website - the views across the estuary were ever changing with the weather and watching the boats coming and going was relaxing. A short walk down to the harbour but not that many shops, places to eat. Short trip on the ferry to Fowey is advised for shops, restaurants, cafes etc. Ferry had just changed to the winter timetable so you couldn’t have an evening out in Fowey. I had forgotten just how steep some of the lanes are - definitely a good workout but probably not suitable for the less mobile. Would I go back - yes to the cottage but just wish it was in Fowey. All in all, it was a very relaxing week away which is just what I wanted

We live in the countryside in England and decided that the seaside would provide a different experience for everyone. Our children who are now in their late twenties and early thirties still come with their friends and partners. We love sharing the cottage with our visitors some of whom have returned several times.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

We first visited Polruan in the 1990s. Despite the fact that it poured with rain every day and that we had three small children and a dog with us, we loved every minute of that holiday. We were determined to buy a house nearby and when some years later an opportunity presented itself in Polruan we started to renovate September Cottage. We visit as often as our jobs permit and our children who are now grown up love to come to Cornwall as well. Our eldest son proposed to his girlfriend on the cliffs in Polruan so it has become a special place for all the family. We have received many visitors over the past few years who have sent glowing letters of recommendation about the cottage and its wonderful views over the Fowey estuary.

Wonderful views over the bay towards Fowey with the many boats which sail into the harbour. Views on all sides of the cottage. The unspoilt village of Polruan, near the attractions of a tourist centre like Fowey but lovely and peaceful to come home to after a day of sightseeing and walking. We have our parking space about 100 metres from the cottage.
