I moved in 2005 to Koh Samui from Cirencester in the UK. I began travelled to Thailand and other countries in this part of the world from 1990. From the places I visited Koh Samui became clearly my favourite destination.

Inspired by the opportunity for business I made the decision to move to Koh Samui and develop a new rental enterprise.

I created my own Flooring business when living in Cirencester. During this time I was also heavily involved in property development and property rental. This became a strong passion of mine, having created a large number of varying style properties in the UK. It was at this time I sought a new challenge and the idea and opportunity of moving to Koh Samui arose.

Since moving to the island I have created 15 properties, of which there are 10 luxury villas ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms, with their own swimming pools, four with spectacular ocean views, and all with an individual and tropical style. This collection of stunning villas are known as Peacefulvillas.

There have been a great many challenges in developing villas in a vastly different culture and environment in which I was brought up in. The challenges at times have been stressful, demanding and exhausting! The rewards however have far outweighed the challenges and have been able to stretch my creativity and inspiration.

Living on the island and surrounded by the beautiful, tropical nature I don’t feel the need to be anywhere else. Peacefulvillas keeps me strongly motivated and busy every day, where I enjoy to meet people from all over the world who come to stay, and often return to one of our villas.

I have only returned to Europe twice in 21-years of living on the island. One was for three days in Milan and another for 24hrs in Madrid, both to watch the mighty Spurs play in the Champions League !!!!

I was instantly attracted to the beautiful and natural location where Butterfly Garden Villa is positioned. The villa is set in a lovely, quiet tropical area, yet only a 10 minute walk from the local beach and 5 min drive to fabulous Restaurants.

Local Laem Sett beach, the closest beach to the Villa, is a 3 minute drive, or up to 10 minute walk. It is a secluded and very natural beach, where it is good for children as the water can often be shallow in this part of the island.

Located in the charming area of Laem Set, Butterfly Garden Villa is also only a 5 min drive to many fine Thai restaurants serving both delicious Thai and Western cuisine. You will also discover coffee shops, Thai health massage shops, individual shops, local travel agencies and taxi services.

Only 5 minutes away is the small fishing village of Baan Hua Thanon where you can shop at the local market, find ATMs, superb Restaurants and coffee shops, 24 hour 7-Eleven shop, Tesco express, doctor's surgery and a Chinese Temple.

Amphoe Ko Samui Stadium, also 5 min away, is home to many popular sports events, where visitors can come to watch the activities. It is located in an attractive area, surrounded by a lake/reservoir where there is a football field, basketball etc and you can also walk around or jog with lots of shade. Also outdoor fitness park with brightly coloured exercise equipment which is free to use.

Lamai is a 10 minute drive, with a beautiful expansive beach, stretching for miles, and fresh clear ocean in which to swim. Here in Lamai there are also many varied restaurants, shops and attractions.

Butterfly Garden Villa is an a exquisitely designed, spacious Villa, which completed an extensive upgrade and refurbishment programme.

Included within the rental of Butterfly Garden Villa is a run around Toyota Avanza 6/7 seater automatic car (at no extra cost).

The Villa has many unique features for guests to enjoy. An ocean view Sun Roof Terrace has been created at the villa where you can sit and relax and appreciate the ocean views. It is also ideal as a peaceful spot for yoga and meditation in this beautiful and serene setting.

The villa is a large and spacious property, with salt water swimming pool, separate jetted plunge pool, BBQ, sun deck, sun beds and open air Sala with fan and lighting. It is set in a peaceful area, with a beautiful lush green tropical garden.

Butterfly Garden Villa has been extensively renovated and tastefully refurbished, creating a beautiful tropical style, where guests can peacefully relax in this magical setting. When the sun goes, a lovely ambiance is created within the Sala, where you can enjoy a cocktail and soak up the tropical atmosphere. There is also the delightful Garden Conservatory, which leads from the tropical Living area. Here you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning time or a drink in the balmy evening time.

The Villa is wonderfully spacious and has many beautiful and exotic areas provided, both inside and out, for guests to sit, relax and soak up the wonderful tropical environment and peaceful atmosphere.

We have 10 villas for rental in the south of the island. In 2020 we proudly completed luxury ocean 2 bedroom Villa Moonstone at Sitara Retreat (which can also be rented as a 1 Bedroom villa) and is the latest design in the collection of Peacefulvillas.
