Dear Andrew Thank you for your review. We are glad that you have said that our house and location are beautiful, we think so too. We are sorry that you left us such a low score and wish that you had contacted us whilst you were staying in our house to say that you were experiencing a problem with the air conditioning. If it had not been for the fact that I contacted you on your last day to wish you a safe onward journey, I would have had no idea that you had experienced a problem with it. When I received your message , I contacted the air con engineer and our property manager and they both went to our house. The system , including the handsets were checked and there were no problems found. I feel that you have not selected a high enough temperature for winter use. Our property managers are very responsive and would have come to rectify the problem, if there had been one. Best Regards Margaret

I am glad that you had a great time and I saw that your weather was great too. It is good to have restaurants etc nearby, it was a priority for us when we were looking for somewhere to buy. Malaga Central Government were just building the new road from the coast when we bought La Casa de Flores 19 years ago. There used to be a lot of potholes etc. before then and they have maintained it well. Best Regards Margaret

Hi Michael, it was great to have both of you stay at our house, you are more than welcome to return at any time. We arrived in Árchez not long after you left and we are enjoying the peace, quiet and views after travelling here from Cadiz. The UK TV channels are popular with our guests and we are having a new SMART tv delivered tomorrow so that guests can keep up their netflix etc viewing whilst they are in Spain

It was great to finally have you both stay at our house. Despite a 2 year pandemic occurring between you making your original booking and 2 changes of date, we are glad that you found it to be worth the wait. Thank you for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to have both of you to stay in our house for a month. You are more than welcome to return at any time. We have had quite an increase in the number of autumn and winter guests staying for 4-8 weeks. Particularly those who live in countries that are very cold in the winter. It is the perfect weather for walking and there is a local walking group that visitors are welcome to join. My favourite beach in the area is at Torre del Mar and they have a good weekly market there too I am glad that you enjoyed the local restaurants, so much better value that higher priced restaurants on the coast

Thank you for your lovely review. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay and were happy with our house. I wish that the hill would burn off 2000 calories and I would at least have a chance of leaving Árchez the same weight as I was when I arrived 😂 There is a much gentler way to walk to our house from the village, but a few minutes longer. We have a short video of it on our Facebook page. I usually walk up the steep way tbh as it keeps me fit, but a few of our guests prefer the longer way. There are definitely dogs barking in the summer, because they are too hot or picking up the sound of fiestas that are too far away for us to hear but dogs can hear. Sadly, some of them have no owners and we have a collecting tin on our fireplace for a local animal rescue to collect small change for them. I am glad that you enjoyed our local restaurants and our friendly neighbours. Tourists are positively welcomed in Árchez

I am glad that you enjoyed your stay in Archez, people often comment on how friendly the local people are and how good the restaurants are. Re parasols, we decided to used to fixed shade instead of parasols and we have created a shaded area at the end of the pool which is where I read my book, we have a large covered porch with furniture and a shaded dining area at the barbeque. we find it easier that moving heavy parasol bases across the terraced. We have had some lovely comments made about La Casa de Flores in the past but the holy grail is a definite first😊 It did feel like the holy grail to us when we were looking for a house to buy. After viewing 17 houses in 3 days with 4 different estate agents and none of the other 16 entirely meeting our wish list, La Casa de Flores was the last house that we viewed and ticked all of the boxes. It was a pleasure to have you both stay at our house and you are more than welcome to return.Thank you for your lovely comments about our house and garden, we have a great team who look after it for us. I know that you were not intending to go out much in your car as, like me ,you were taking plenty of books to read in the sun. Many of our guests come without a car and either have airport transfers from Maria or take the bus from Malaga Bus Station depending on their flight times. I go to Árchez ,on my own , every winter and I never book a car. I use the local restaurants and local supermarkets and if I want to walk along the beautiful promenade at Torre del Mar, I walk up to Canillas de Albaida and take the bus. We have driven a lot in the English Lake District, Guernsey and the Scottish Highlands and find the roads to be very similar to rural Spain. Best Regards Margaret
