Great views and amenities

Great villa but a pity the walk to the town centre is in fact over a mile away with perilous road conditions between. A car is essential or taxi rides each time visiting the town centre.

Dear Steve, After reading your positive comments in our guest book, I must say this rating (the worst we ever had) comes quite unexpected. You seemed to be very happy about the villa, your words: "4 of us stayed to recharge our batteries after a busy 2019... we are most definitevely with batteries on full power" let us believe that you had a satisfying stay in Kalkan; but obviously not, we are sorry about that. So we adapted our site information to warn our customers about the steepness of the way back from town center (something some people evoque in their reviews, but up to now that was never an issue, our guest generally use the cheap taxi or their car to go to the town). This said I do think talking about perilous road conditions is slightly exagerated... The house information is clear about the steepness, and we do recommend using a taxi or car. I am sorry we sent them to late for you to cancel for free so you could find your dream holiday house. One last thing: the position on the hill allows for an uninterruped sea view from the pool terrasse, something that is not common in Kalkan, many houses near the center cannot claim such a beautiful view. Once again we are very sorry that your experience at Villa Yakamoz didn't allow for a better rating. With our best wishes.

Fantastic Villa

This is our 2nd time at Villa Yakamoz. It's been renovated since our last stay and is even more beautiful. The pool and outdoor area are perfect with the most wonderful views of Kalkan. The Villa itself, is spacious, well equipped (literally everything you would need and more) tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. The owners are an absolute pleasure to deal with and super responsive to any questions. Everyone in our party were super happy with the villa, location and amenities.

Stunning

We have just returned from a wonderful week in villa Yakamoz, it was everything we hoped it would be.. the views are breathtaking and the pool was perfect.. the villa was spacious and spotlessly clean. The trip into town was so simple and cheap, WhatsApp a cab and it’s there in 5 mins, so cheap and convenient.. around £2 ish? We also used villa app for our lunch etc and piping hot pizza etc delivered in minutes, so convenient. I would not hesitate to stay again..hopefully later in the year.. highly recommend 5 ⭐️ plus

FANTASTIC HOLIDAY!

Our return visit to Villa Yakamoz was all we had hoped for & more. The villa has commanding uninterrupted views of kalkan & the bay and is clean & well resourced. Additional items like travel plugs were a bonus. Yusuf who manages the villa met us on arrival and came to see us on departure, he was helpful, prompt and kind with any requests we had during our stay including delivering large water bottles. We will definitely be booking again without a doubt. Kalkan is a favourite place with wonderful restaurants, great beach clubs and such friendly people. Huge thankyou to our hosts for providing such a fabulous oasis.

A Real Hidden Gem

We stayed at Villa Yakamoz, Kalkan, Turkey for 11 nights in June, which is our 4th visit to this fabulous villa and resort. Although it is a very spacious 4 bedroom villa to sleep 8 people, we like having the place to ourselves as a couple. The villa is well furnished with comfortable beds, very clean bathrooms, the kitchen has all the appliances and utensils you could possibly think of and the interior has just been redecorated throughout with new air conditioning so looking very fresh and clean. The terrace and infinity pool are exceptionally clean and tended to daily early in the morning and is well furnished including 8 sun beds, side tables, parasols as well as dining table and chairs to seat 8 and two large settees under the canopy are of a high standard. No matter where you are sitting on the terrace, in the lounge, on the balcony, swimming in the pool or laid in bed (in 3 bedrooms) you have the magical uninterrupted Seaview over the resort, up the coastline and out to the islands watching boats entering and leaving the harbour. Although there are steps up to the villa, the view from the top is well worth the climb. A taxi to resort is only 15-20 TL (£2-£3). I would strongly recommend Villa Yakamoz. The owners Dominique and Firdevs are obliging to individual needs and there are staff in resort if you need anything. We have already booked to return in October 2019 and of course reserved our annual June holiday for 2020. We are well travelled worldwide but there is something really special about the villa and Kalkan that makes us want to come back. A real hidden gem. 😎

Katastrophal

Als wir ankamen war das Haus nicht fertig geputzt und die Zuständigen waren sehr in Eile. Es fand daher keine richtige Übergabe statt. Das Poollicht, die Liegen, der Toaster, die Wasserzufuhr im Badezimmer, die Eingangstüre, Spülmaschine und und.. waren defekt. Als wir nach dem fehlenden Wasserkocher fragten, wurde uns dieser mit einem alten benutzen Fremden ersetzt, nachdem erst gesagt wurde „ist nicht möglich, da sollte einer sein“Aber da keine richtige Übergabe stattfand, konnten Sie nicht wissen, dass dieser anscheinend von den vorherigen Gästen geklaut wurde. Als wir einige dieser Mängel nannten wurde uns eine Rückerstattung angeboten. Allerdings haben wir keine erhalten, im Gegenteil uns wurden nach dem Checkout die bestehenden Schäden unterstellt, als Ausrede um die Rückerstattung nicht zu zahlen. Ich kann hier leider keine Screenshots vom Chatverlauf posten, sonst hätte ich gerne transparent bewertet. Ich würde nie wieder bei diesen Gastgebern buchen.

So simple from the start to finish ! Dominique has been a pleasure to talk to and extremely helpful. Fantastic villa

An absolutely fantastic villa with incredible views. We’ve been to kalkan a few times in the past 15 years and this is by far the nicest villa we have stopped in. The infinity pool is stunning and the villa itself is clean and well kept. All the double bedrooms have fantastic views with lovely en-suites. If we return to kalkan in the future then we would look to book this villa again. It’s very close to town and you can walk it if you fancy. Otherwise it’s a 2 minute drive down to town. As always loads to do in town and Patara beach is only a 20 minute drive away. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone who wants a pool with a view. The pictures don’t do it justice as it’s far far better in reality. Thank you for the stay!!

Lovely Villa, comfortable with great views

We really enjoyed our time in Villa Yakamoz. This was our first visit to Turkey (so first visit to Kalkan) and we really liked it. From the start the owners were helpful and easy to deal with, as was Yusuf who (along with his brother) manages the villa for them in resort. Transfers arranged were reliable. The villa itself was lovely. Rooms, bathrooms, kitchen etc were clean and comfortable but the real winner was the pool and outdoor living space. We were really torn between spending time relaxing in the villa round the pool or heading in to Kalkan for adventures - beach clubs, scuba, boat trips etc. A small word of warning - Kalkan is steep - it not a long walk into town, all downhill. We walked back from town once - never again. Having said that, taxis are plentiful and cheap in Kalkan so it no problem getting one back up the hill. Also, it's the steepness of Kalkan that gives the town its charm and the villa its views so you can't have it both ways. There's probably loads of stuff I've forgotten but: > we will definitely go back to Kalkan > when we go back to Kalkan, the first thing we'll do is check if Villa Yakamoz is available.

You’ll never tire of the view

The view from the villa is to die for and especially from when you are in the fabulous infinity pool. The villa is spacious and well equipped- everything we needed for a 10 day vacation. The team they have managing the villa are excellent both with advice, recommendations and helpfulness, example: we had a problem with the fridge and within 5 mins one of the team turned up and within an hour we had a temporary replacement until the original issue was fixed - unbelievable service. They even replaced the ice which we had bought and had melted. Great reliable and affordable taxi service from Hasan which we needed daily due to the hillside location and the fact we had elderly people in our party. Overall a terrific villa which made our holiday a great experience.

A fantastic holiday

Just such a lovely villa it was all we expected it to be and more. Yusuf and family were very attentive whilst sorting the garden and pool everyday and giving good advise on sight seeing places to go. All in all we had a very good holiday would highly recommend the villa and we are thinking of going again.

Villa in Kalkan

A lovely villa with panoramic views of Kalkan. Excellent and helpful communication with the owner before arrival made the process very smooth. On arrival there was a nice welcome from the manager of the property and some welcome daily essentials like milk and bread and eggs provided. Each day the manager came in and cleaned around the outside of the villa so it was always spotless. Overall a very nice experience and one we would recommend to others.

Beautiful villa in a stunning area of Turkey!

I stayed at Villa Yakamoz from 15th May-24th May 2019. This was my first stay in Kalkan & certainly will not be the last. From the moment I contacted Firdevs and Dominique to enquire about available dates, to the moment I got back in the UK their communication with me was absolutely excellent. They Responded promptly to any question or query I had,  and also provided me with excellent information about the area prior to my holiday. It is always a worry when booking things privately that they won’t be as they look on the internet, but I can guarantee this villa is everything and more than what you see in the photographs, it truly is beautiful.  The villa is set high up in the mountain, which can be tricky to get too with a small child and a pram and the number of steps up to the property, but it is well worth being exhausted from all the steps for the absolutely stunning view. The view really is out of this world. I holidayed with my husband, 11 month old baby & my parents. We all absolutely loved the villa & would recommend it to all our friends & family. The villa is lovely & spacious & had everything you could wish for. The only thing I would say to the owner is that a cot would have been an added bonus. We did rent a travel cot through the people who look after the villa, but I feel for the size of the villa it would really be a good idea for them to buy a full size cot to remain in the villa permanently. Kalkan itself is beautiful. Having a Turkish husband we have holidayed in a few different areas in Turkey, but this definitely is my favourite place we have been too. The Villa is a 10- 15minute slow walk down hill to the main shops and restaurants but a taxi is definitely needed for going back up! Taxi’s are readily available for 15- 20 lira. We had an amazing 8 days at Villa Yakamoz the only downside (which is not a fault of the owner) was that the pool was too cold for myself & my daughter to use. A heated pool would really finish off this villa. All in all I would 100% recommend this villa & really hope to return in the near future. Just to note & this by no way is a bad reflection on the villa or owner, but I did feel that the people looking after the villa were out to make money from us. I asked if there was anywhere I could rent a baby walker from & he turned up at the villa half an hour later with an old looking baby walker & said it would be £40 to hire it for the remaining 5 days that i had left. Just something to be caution of.
