- Das Sugar Beach Resort Nr. 407 wurde bis auf die Grundmauern heruntergenommen (wenn es so etwas in einem Betonkomplex gäbe, aber Sie meinen Drift bekommen). Dies ist eine brandneue Wohnung, die ab dem 9. Januar 2016 vermietet werden kann.
Dies ist das wahre "Sand in Zehen" -Erlebnis - Sie müssen nicht über die Straße gehen, um zum Meer zu gelangen. Das Sugar Beach Resort ist ein OCEANFRONT-Komplex. SBR # 407 ist eine fantastische OceanVIEW-Eigentumswohnung, die in die Irre geführt wurde.
Nagelneues Kingsize-Bett. Brandneues Queen Schlafsofa. Nagelneuer 50 Zoll Fernseher. Dieser Ort wird rocken.
FANTASTISCHER Meerblick bis hinunter zur Südküste von Maui nach Makena. Vierte Etage, also jede Menge Wale (in der Saison - von Thanksgiving bis Mitte April). Schöne Aussicht auf den Molokini-Krater. Southern Exposure - meine Lieblingsmorgensonne, die über Haleakala aufgeht.
Free wifi / Free parking / Fee Ferngespräche nach ganz Nordamerika. Zentrale AC. Keine Resortgebühren.
Vor Ort Restaurant-Mauis Ikone "Dina's Sandwitch". Vor-Ort-Aktivitäten Desk. Fabulous Oceanfront Pool und Whirlpool. Fünf Minuten zu Fuß zum "Sugar Beach Bake Shop" für Kaffee und tolle Backwaren (öffnet um 6 Uhr morgens).
Sugar Beach ist Mauis längster Sandstrand - fast acht Kilometer lang - perfekt für lange Strandspaziergänge. Erwarten Sie, waaaaaay mehr hawaiianische Sandkrabben als Menschen auf Ihren frühen Morgenspaziergängen zu sehen (es befindet sich neben einem Naturschutzgebiet, so dass nur sehr wenige Eigentumswohnungskomplexe in der Nähe sind - wir hatten eine Gastschätzung, dass sie 30 bis 1-mal mehr Spaß für Kinder hatten) .
Das Wasser variiert von ruhig bis Boogie-Boarding-tauglich (wir liefern die Boogie-Boards). Das Sugar Beach Resort liegt ziemlich abgelegen vom Rest von Kihei, daher ist ein Auto erforderlich ... aber! Das macht es so fantastisch. Es hat eine zentrale Lage und ist daher der perfekte Ausgangspunkt, um Maui von hier aus zu erkunden. Abendessen in Lahaina (ca. 30 Minuten westlich) und Abendessen in Wailea und dann am nächsten Abend (ca. 20 Minuten südlich).

Great beach front property with large pool and hot tub

Very nice 1 bed 1 bath with full kitchen, patio, beautiful views. Central location. Nice big pool, hot tub for the cooler nights. Right on the ocean, great sandy beach. Definitely recommend and would go back in a heartbeat.

Great place to relax

This condo was a great place to relax and have a low key Hawaii vacation. It is close enough to Wailea and Lahaina for day trips, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to relax. And Deborah is fantastic - very responsive to questions and requests, and a great resource for recommendations on what to do on the island.

This is a great little condo! It’s clean and tastefully decorated! North Kihei is always a great launching point for many adventures, so the location is prime. I greatly enjoyed the ocean and pool view from the lani! Bonus!

They are only five feet long as opposed to the normal six foot long ones most people are used to in their homes. Nonetheless! I am glad to hear you guys enjoyed the resort. I hope you guys come back! Aloha Joseph, Thanks for the review! I am glad you guys had a good time. As I stated in my email, the Keurig coffee machine was my fault. It shouldn't have still been inside the unit when you guys checked in. We keep that normal stainless coffee machine on the counter for guests. The Keurig is mine from my house (I live 30 minutes away) and I had dropped it off due to a guest asking if they could borrow it but I forgot to go pick it up before the next checkin. I didn't know they had broken it and I am sure they were unaware, too. Not sure about the Wifi. Maui had several power outages lately and I was getting phone texts from the provider (Spectrum) that the Internet was down every time the power went out but Kihei, Sugar Beach Resort, rarely goes without power for more than a few minutes at a time as Maui Electric focuses on the guest areas first when restoring power. Anyway...I hope you guys took advantage of the resort's oceanfront pool and awesome stretch of sand. The whales are in and Maui is GLORIOUS right now. Come back again! Aloha~Deborah

Outstanding Condo!

From the beautiful furniture to the well stocked kitchen, the comfortable bed and the incredible view…this is truly an outstanding condo. The clear communication with the property manager was also very helpful. The quick morning walk to the Sugar Beach Bake shop was a hit too! Enjoy!

I keep meaning to upgrade my pictures to reflect the new furnishings, new sofa, new 55" living room TV and new fridge. It's always on my "to do" list but never gets "ta done". :) You know your pictures are dated when every guest says "it's way better in person". I'm on it! Great for 2 people,

Recently remodeled condo, beautiful kitchen appliances and I loved the Braun coffee maker! Beautiful ocean/poolside view. Very quiet location, respectful guests many of the senior variety and a few families. Easy walk to my favorite shave ice location, sm market and abc store. Parking easy, away from hub of Kihei town which is nice. Not much beach currently due to I assume weather, but perfect for walking along sugar beach for a very long time. Pool was clean and hot tub great. Love the location and the condo. Definitely chose to stay here again.

Amazing vacation in an amazing place. Deborah’s unit is so comfy and inviting. And it is stocked with everything you need while in the unit or heading to the beach. Perfect location for a relaxing vacation!

This property has too many good things for me to talk about to list them all. You’re right on the beach, just off of a major junction for the roads. You’ve got the convenience of being close to everything without all the crowds and hassle. Amazing restaurants are within a 10 minute drive and so are grocery stores. If there’s anything you want for time at the beach it’s already here (cooler, chairs, towels, boards, etc). This was our first time to Maui and we’ll definitely be coming back to this place!

Great Vacation!

My husband and I loved staying in Deborah's unit. The location was wonderful, and the grounds were so clean and well kept. The unit was perfect for us and exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, fresh linens and towels, the kitchen was stocked, and the lanai was our favorite. We spent a lot of time by the pool and the ocean. Plenty of areas to soak up the sun, and enjoy a day of relaxation. The unit had a washer and dryer which was so helpful, along with pool towels, beach chairs and even some coolers. Overall our unit was perfect, and we are so happy we chose it. Definitely recommend! The restaurant on site was also a nice bonus, we enjoyed a nice lunch there. The staff are so friendly. Checking in and out was a breeze. We can't wait to come back again.

Great location & attentive host

Shout out to Deborah who was such an amazing host. She responded quickly, let us know about the pool situation ahead of time (it was closed for the majority our one week stay due to some maintenance which we didn’t mind because we wanted to do a lot in Maui), gave a lot of helpful information ahead of time, and she dropped off trash bags when we needed them (she kindly left it on the door handle while we were out & about). From beach chairs to Tupperware, we pretty much had everything we needed. The place definitely looked so much better inside (newer, modern & great decor) than outside. We felt like the location is in the middle of every place we wanted to go. We had a rental car & we were close to the airport & main stores like Costco & some beaches especially sugar beach is right there. It was our first time in Hawaii & we were so happy with our trip thanks to Deborah & the place we stayed at.

Aloha Sergio! It was MY pleasure to host you guys. I am so glad you guys had a great experience on Maui. I live just 30 minutes away so it's a breeze for me to drop off anything a guest needs. I'm always happy to play delivery girl. Sugar Beach Resort is so convenient to get to. We used to make jokes that you can stand on the street corner out front and catch a ride to go to, literally, any part of the island in minutes. It's the perfect spot to hub out of for a party that wants to really see all of Maui. You guys were delights to host. Anytime. Please come back again! Aloha~ Deborah

Excellent Location

So thankful we picked SugarBeach Resorts! The location was close to all the places we wanted to visit. Highly recommend you rent a vehicle for the whole time you are in Maui or for at least part of the time. Deborah’s unit was clean, had great views and came well equipped! Coffee, laundry soap, dish soap, spices were a nice added touch. The washer and dryer are such a bonus. Beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, small cooler bag were greatly appreciated and made our day trips so much easier. We had no issues with the unit and would highly recommend to anyone! Check in was easy and staff were extremely helpful. If you’re looking for somewhere that is quiet and relaxing this is for you! The beach was great and everything we needed was a 5 minute drive away. Looking forward to coming back to Maui and staying at Deborah’s place again. Thank you Deborah!!

Mahalo Laurie! You guys were awesome. Thanks for the heads up on the oven mitts. I don't know where those have wandered off to but I am headed to Target today. ha! I am so glad you guys enjoyed the convenient location of Sugar Beach Resort..my family has loved staying there for years. They love it because you can choose to go any direction on Maui that you want to...because you are starting from the center. Wanna eat in Lahaina for dinner one night and Wailea the next? Why not? They are both the same distance but going in opposite directions. Please come back again! Aloha~ Deborah

Kihei Oceanfront Birthday Week

My spouse and I stayed at Deborah's condo for a week in December 2022. It is just like the pictures - new/updated, clean, pleasant place. Overall we very much enjoyed the property - eating breakfast on the balcony was a highlight, walking down each day for an ocean and pool swim was a nice way to start and end the day. Having air conditioning, laundry and a fully setup kitchen made our day to day living there great. The unit is on the 4th floor which we walked up to/down from but there is an elevator nearby if you are carrying lots of grocery's or other things. Parking was free. I would recommend having a car as most shopping, restaurants and various sites will require a drive. There is a sandwich/coffee shop on site - we tried it out a few times and the sandwiches and potato salad were great. Finally, Deborah was super helpful and available - from helping us the night we arrived when I failed tracking down the email and faq that had the room number and other details, recommending several great restaurants and finally suggesting we see a great local theatre performance "White Hawaiian". Overall a perfect place for us to visit Maui after being away for a few years!

Aloha Mike and Kelly! I LOVE having guests like you guys. The ones who want to go for it and get in with the local scene. I am so glad you guys took me up on my recommendations. A great evening out in Kihei is to eat at Nalu's in Kihei (awesome food and live music nightly-local prices aka "not the hotel crazy prices") then to walk a few doors down and catch a bit of local theater. You guys were lucky that "White Hawaiian" was playing during your stay on Maui. It will be running again in early January and again in early February and easily sell out those dates. It's a fun and poignant trip through a little bit of time travel on Maui. I felt lucky that I got to meet you guys in person! Please come back! Aloha~ Deborah

Maui

The property was clean and in a good area for beach access and travel around the island. Check-in was disappointing. We arrived at 2 pm rather than the stated 3 pm time which surprisingly seemed to be a problem. The owner provided a check-in code but after several attempts it was determined the lock was broken. A repairman came out and we were able to access about 3:30. This lock has been known to have issues. After checking in, we requested another beach chair which was delivered the next day. We were surprised that a condo that sleeps four (we had 3 which was an extra charge) wouldn’t be stocked for four people. We would not recommend staying here with more than two people. We enjoyed our stay on Maui but we were disappointed by the lack of communication with the owner. We emailed twice about check-out questions but received no response. We’ll choose a different condo when we return to Maui.

Aloha! Thanks so much for writing a review. Check-in time is 3PM and we apologize for the 30 minute delay in accessing the condo. The locksmith had just replaced the motor in that Kaba lock the week prior to this guests arrival so it was unfortunate that the new motor failed. But! Thankfully, we were able to guilt the locksmith into dropping the job he was on and run over to Sugar Beach to ensure this guest was only inconvenienced by a half hour beyond check-in time. One of the great things about Sugar Beach Resort is the on-site restaurant/bar "Dina's Sandwitch". It provides a cool/retro hang-out while guests are changing locations. Regarding the third beach chair. This is a one bedroom condo so there is only one closet. We can't store four full size beach chairs inside the unit because our guests wouldn't have any place to store their luggage out of sight. Each of our our one bedroom condos are equipped with 2 beach chairs, 2 boogie boards, beach towels and a cooler. We are always happy to have extra chairs and boogie boards delivered to our guests when they request them. We keep a back-up supply in a storage unit nearby so that, just like this guest experienced, they can be delivered quickly. Aloha!~ Deborah

Absolutely Amazing Location, Views and Unit

This is a perfect unit for a single or a couple. It is well appointed with EVERYTHING needed for a comfortable stay. A very comfortable bed, ample closet space, everything you can think of that you might need in the kitchen including pitchers, containers for leftovers, blender, all dishes you could imagine.They thought of everything! TV has plenty of options for watching when you need a break. The views are spectacular! Balcony is perfect for eating or relaxing. You can hear the ocean day and night, see if the pool is busy or empty from your unit, close enough but far enough from the elevator. Building is well kept. We saw people constantly cleaning and upkeeping. Communication with Deborah was top notch! She was so great to work with, answered emails and texts right away, so helpful and even offered some great night time suggestions. Pool was GREAT, Hot Tub was perfect, great covered area with tables for eating outside or some shade. Beach was wonderful - sand area is small but we were there right after a HUGE storm in mid December so that had something to do with that. But it was beautiful and very swimmable. The area of Kihei it is is wonderful. A little quieter than the "main" area which we loved. About a 10 min drive (if that) from the "triangle" but 3 minutes from a Farmers Market, and Sugar Hill bakery (you'll thank me later) Do not hesitate to rent this wonderful unit. Everything is better than the pics even describe!
