Perfect position right on the lake. Well equipped small house but more than enough room for our group of three. The yard was fully fenced so our fur babies were perfectly safe.

Comfortable cottage with a great view

Lake Edge Cottage is just that a cottage, well-resourced, comfortable, with a simplicity that is quite pleasant and calming. There are great walking paths, happy birds and quiet neighbours. Coles and takeaway shops are close by, but you wouldn't know it, as you look out onto the lake without a worry in the world.

enjoyed 3 days at Lakes Edge Buff Point, lovely cottage, all comforts you could need. An outdoor table would have been nice to have dinner watching the lake. Also there is no aircon and it was very hot,otherwise very nice for the price.

Great views but with room for improvement

This conveniently located property has stunning views. That said, the property had a few issues that detracted from the experience: 1) cockroaches (albeit, bug spray was provided); 2) the toilet seat was discoloured with yellow stains; and 3) the lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms. There were some very minor issues with checking in but this was quickly resolved.

Not as enjoyable as our last time. Back door doesn't stay open. Balcony way too small to sit outside, no wardrobe to hang your clothes in bedrooms and interaction with the estate agents left a lot to be desired. Can't imagine we will return

Wonderful view, cottage very nice but we had a problem with the TV - antennae not working. Had to use live streaming. No warddrobes in bedrooms to put any clothes. Overall though it is a nice little cottage with a wonderful view.

A new toilet seat would benefit. Can't lock the loungeroom windows.Bad stains in the laundry sink.Very old stove which we didn't use as we took our own inductioa n stove top.The linen was lovely and a comfortable bed.Outside gardens needed tidying up as it looked very sad and neglected.Too expensive for this property. .

Location! Location! Location!

Fabulous view across the lake and beautiful walks to be had beside the lake ... very handy for pets. It was unfortunate that it was windy when we were there and the howling southerly was not conducive to a relaxed stay. But with little or no wind - perfect. The cottage is basic but functional ... easy floors to maintain for pets. The view from the main bedroom is across the lake and the same view from dining living areas. Cleanliness could have been improved. Would I stay there again? Yes but the price would need to be negotiated.

Lovely quiet area, fantastic outlook. Go out the back gate & you can walk for miles by the lake. If only it was clean. Lovely little lake side cottage but needs a damn good clean inside & out. Also would be nice if the mattress protectors & pillows were washed &/or changed, all we could smell was other peoples sweat & odour when in bed. Also make sure you bring disinfectant wipes so you can wipe everything down before using it. Restaurants, cafes, supermarkets are nice & close for eating out or cooking yourself if your game to put anything in the filthy oven. Shame because it’s a nice little place but we won’t be back ever.

Buff Pt on the Lake

Comfortable house. Clean and tidy. Quiet area. Close to amenities. Beautiful aspect right on the lake. Great walking path along lake. Secure fencing. Some maintenance required to screen doors as they are difficult to unlock at times. It would help if there was a pooper scooper as we had to buy one so we could clean up. The outside red top rubbish bin was very full when we arrived and obviously had not been emptied for a while. As we arrived early in the week, the collection had already been and the bin had not been put out. No major issues and it was great being able to collect the key at the house.

Perfect location with everything you need

We stayed for a weekend getaway with 2 adults and 2 kids. The location is absolutely perfect. The views over the lake are breathtaking. Inside you will find everything you need. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, cups, saucepans etc. There are puzzles galore and DVDs and books to choose from. The beds are super comfy and there is ample heating and cooling. The only downside with this property is the amount of pet hair on the floors. It is advertised as pet friendly so both myself and my daughter stocked up on our anti histamines but our allergies were off the charts until they kicked in. I think it would be far better to have a lock box at the property for the key instead of having to travel into The Entrance to get it from the real estate. As we were checking in after they closed (4.30pm) we did all our check in on line so had no real reason to add almost half an hour to our trip just to get the keys from a lock box, which could have easily been located at the house. Those things aside we couldn't have been happier with the property. Our goal was to relax for the weekend and we certainly did that....I just wish we had more time to finish the 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle.

Thank you for your comments we are glad yo enjoyed your stay. We will speak to cleaners in regards to the dog hair and do apologise for this. Unfortunately many owners do not feel comfortable leaving keys in lock boxes at properties for security purpose. Lockboxes at our office are under 24 hour surveillance and pose a much less security risk.

Very dirty house

The house is dirty and tired- the floors hadn't been washed nor swept, I went to get the broom to sweep the floor and it was old, filthy and covered with dog hair, the windows haven't been cleaned inside or out for at least 12 months, someone had drawn a smiley face on the inside of one window with their finger, cobwebs inside and outside of the windows and black mould on the blinds. Stove elements are so rusted they are a fire hazard. BBQ is unusable, filthy and completely rusted. Lounge is dirty and stained etc etc etc. I have many photos.
