Thank you for providing this critical feedback. We are deeply and truly sorry for the issues you encountered during your stay. We are disappointed to read about the wood near the hot tub. Your experience with your daughter sounds awful, and we are relieved that she was not seriously injured. This is a safety failure, and we take these issues seriously. Please be assured that we are taking immediate action. Since this is the first time we have heard about this our maintenance team is being dispatched to inspect and replace the compromised wood around the hot tub to make the area completely safe. They will also be repairing the tile transition strip in the master bath and addressing the weatherproofing and sealing on the lower door to prevent any further leaks. We understand completely when you say you cannot put your family in danger and we don't want any of our guests to feel this way. We are using your review to correct these urgent issues immediately. We are so sorry for this experience and hope you come back to experience a 5-Star stay next time.

Thank you for your feedback. We regret that you did not know VRBO is a 3rd party booking site and you paid them a referral fee on this booking. We do not own the property but rather are a professional agency licensed by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. As such we are required to execute a rental management agreement and are the broker for the transaction. The check in time is indeed 4 PM. You are also correct that we take the chemical balance and chemistry of the pools and hot tubs seriously and leave a door card on the day of arrival that announces we will return mid-week to ensure the chemistry is balanced. We regret you were not aware of these normal practices of our management firm. We do hope you come back again soon to have a 5-Star experience as most of our guests enjoy.
