Property was lovely and very clean inside. The outdoor areas are a challenge. I will say through no fault of owners/management. The upside is total privacy, the downside is the trees drop pine needles and large amounts of sap all over. The lake is beautiful but the stairs are a serious challenge. That being said. The price is very reasonable for the house. The owners provide really nice bath products and all linens are quite nice!! You can see they love this home. WiFi is super in the house as well! Location in relation to things to do is great.

The cabin was really pretty, and the pictures definitely don’t do it justice. The only “gripe” I’d have per se would be the pictures of the stairs can be deceiving leading to the lake. It was actually a lot harder path than previously anticipated. Other than that, it was a great place to stay!

The host was extremely welcoming and kind! They made a note to come during the day time, which we did not, and can confirm it's probably best. We arrived at night and it was a little spooky as the road is basically a one lane road leading up the mountain. Overall the place was extremely clean and well kept. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of towels, linens, and blankets. We had an amazing stay and would definitely return if we were in the Cherry Log area again! We visited DT Blue Ridge and Elijay and highly recommend Elijay! There's a really great pizza place and great coffee shops in the area!

We cannot begin t I express how warm and welcoming our host Sheena was. She went above and beyond to make our stay a very pleasant one. She even compromised her safety traveling in the snow to bring us supplies to make sure we had what we needed . The cabin was decorated so warm and inviting. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. We haven't stopped talking about how much we enjoyed ourselves. It was so cozy. It felt like home away from home. We are truly looking forward to the next trip. Hopefully we'll be able to fish next time.

Fantastic stay!

This cabin truly exceeded expectations. It was spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable, making for a truly relaxing retreat. The views were absolutely stunning.A major highlight was the lake access and boating opportunities– it made my teenage son's his trip! We also loved the peace and quiet of being so isolated and surrounded by the forest. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle.I can't wait to return to this wonderful cabin, especially in the fall to experience the changing leaves!

Perfect Getaway!

Lake Hideaway 2 is beautiful, clean and well-equipped with everything you'll need for your perfect vacation. So quiet and peaceful up on the mountain, we had a much-needed relaxing break, enjoying cooking, sitting by the fireplace and hiking the local trails. Sheena is a terrific host and on top of every detail to make your stay the best!

Wonderful retreat

We felt at home from the moment we walked in the door. We especially appreciated the cider from the owner. The place looks just as it does in the photos. It was a great place for peace and quite. We especially loved the deck and the bonfire pit. We would definitely stay again!

The cabin was cozy, comfortable, quiet and relaxing! We had everything we needed for our stay at Lake Hideway. It was perfect for us. We made sure we had all groceries and necessary items before we headed up to the cabin and got there before night fall. Once you do the trip more then twice you get the hang of it. It was conveniently located not to far from downtown Ellijay and Blue Ridge. Please make sure to pull in to the driveway as stated on directions. Its a dead end street so backing up is very tricky. Leaving and going up the hill is way better then trying to reverse. Sheena was very helpful from the beginning. We didnt need to call her for anything but she made sure to let us know if we did anything she was just a phone call away. We will definitely keep Lake Hideway in our future plans.

Beautiful cabin in Cherry Log, GA

We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful cabin and wished it could have been much longer! The cabin has great outdoor spaces and is very comfortable and cozy! Every amenity you could think of was provided in this cabin! Very thoughtful of the owner. Close to Blue Ridge and great restaurants. Def check out the Pink Pig!

Beautiful

The cabin was beautifully decorated. The only issue we had was the driveway being washed out making it very difficult to get in and out of the driveway. Overall can’t wait to stay again.

It’s scheduled for this weekend. **Unfortunately, the new gravel placed before we purchased the property a little over a year ago was incorrect and messed up the water flow and has rapidly washed away a portion of the driveway. Lake Retreat

The cabin was very clean, well stocked, nice view of the lake. There were lots of spiders, but in return few mosquitoes. We stayed in many cabins… the road to this cabin was just as tricky as the rest in Cherry Log. Would highly recommend

The cabin was peaceful, cozy, and clean. It was a relaxing place to get away for a few days. Sheena was wonderful too! I got a little turned around with the directions and she talked to me on the phone until I made it to the cabin safely. I hope to go again in the fall.

I'm a Professional Interior Designer, Dental Hygienist, and the owner of Glory Living Design, a business founded on my faith and a vision God placed on my heart to serve others through design and hospitality. My passion for hospitality began long before my career. I grew up in Southeast Texas, where Southern hospitality, welcoming others, and taking pride in the little details were simply a way of life.

I believe thoughtful design isn't just about how a place looks—it's about how it makes people feel. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the curated furnishings and quality white linens to the carefully selected amenities and personal touches throughout the cabin. My goal is to create spaces that feel warm, comfortable, and welcoming, where guests can relax, reconnect, and truly feel at home.

Having welcomed guests for nearly a decade, it has been a privilege to host families, couples, and friends from around the world. My mission is to create more than beautiful places to stay—I strive to create spaces that reflect God's beauty through thoughtful design, genuine hospitality, and the peace found in His creation. My greatest hope is that every guest leaves with lasting memories, meaningful connections, and a place they look forward to returning to year after year, where Lake Hideaway truly feels like home.

Surrounded by God's incredible creation, I found a deep sense of peace and comfort here. I fell in love with this area because it offers the perfect balance of peaceful mountain living and outdoor adventure. Tucked away among the trees, the private lake provides a quiet place to fish, paddle, watch wildlife, or simply enjoy the scenery from one of the covered porches.

At the same time, you're only a short drive from hiking trails, wineries, charming mountain towns, local shops, restaurants, and seasonal festivals. Whether you spend your days exploring or simply enjoying the quiet beauty of the mountains, I hope your time here leaves you feeling refreshed and inspired.
