It’s updated and decorated very nicely, but still has that old home country feel, which we loved.

No wifi so perfect if you're looking for quiet. Lovely view off of porch. So peaceful. Mildewy smell and no AC. Fine print says no paper products provided so bring some extra TP and paper towels. Fireplace works sometimes and was cozy. Would stay again if just for the view.

High and Isolated

My wife, dog and I really enjoyed our stay here. It was a great escape from the summer heat of the low lying Southeast. Beautiful view from the porch and you can here the river running loudly, and just barely see it. Convenient location close to center of Maggie Valley, Blue Ridge Parkway and other adventures. There is NO internet and NO Cell service, so if you need that, look elsewhere The beds could have been more comfortable, but we made do.

Property was damp and dirty, mildew odor. Not clean, spiders and webs dishes dirty. Fans filthy, etc. Needs dehumidifier or small ac unit to get moisture out. Left review with Carolina vacations but never heard from them. I rent in Maggie valley area many times every year and never had this experience

Nothing to say but won’t recommend to no one.

Very bad experience communicating with the host was worse than communicating with Biden. No instructions at all on how to get in the property, Drove 31/2 hrs to don’t have even get in the property. This property is very bad manage. Had to drove back with a 5 month old husky, a recent operated mother who is 81 yrs old and 3 teens. Because the “host” never answered our call or emails or messages. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE DONT WISH ON NOONE

Great cabin but…

The good news: very clean, well appointed. Looks newly renovated/updated. Had everything needed. It was really cold out but the gas logs and baseboard heating kept the place very cozy. The wrap around porch was the centrepiece! The rushing river below was so soothing at night. The bad news: NO WI-FI NO CELL SERVICE. This should have been very clear in the overview and not a surprise to your renter. Also since I have to pay cleaning fee, and the management fee that should include me not having to truck out the trash. Very inconvenient. Also a pain to have to pick up and drop off keys in town. And I had no problem doing my own dishes before leaving, but should it not be enough to load the dishwasher and start it. The cleaning folks could put the dishes away. Too much work to be on vacation. I’ll stay somewhere that is more guest centered next time.

Beautiful view and cozy home

Our family was so pleased with this home. The rental company communicated in advance, and it was quick and easy to get the keys. The written directions to the home matched the GPS directions. The home was clean, the bathroom was updated, the seating areas and beds were comfortable, the fireplace kept the home warm, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We all agreed that the best part was the front porch. The view from the porch was incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful getaway

Had a wonderful time here. The property was clean and comfortable, not to mention a peaceful location with a fabulous view. Our favorite place was relaxing on the covered porch looking at the mountains and surrounding nature while listening to the hidden creek down the mountain. No cell service which was fine with us, since all we wanted to do was completely relax. Mission accomplished.

A very nice, quaint little spot. Just close enough can make a phone call but people couldn't hang out on tech the whole time. A place to forget your problems even for a short time....

In the mountains

Loved the deck with the hanging swing, grill, and table. The view was great! Having the closed deck was very nice for the pups to freely roam and stay safe. The one and half road was interesting to navigate with another vehicle but it worked out ok. The town is very friendly and enjoyed the atmosphere.

Colorful, Quite and Enjoyable

The property was well equipped. Could have been cleaner. We cleaned ceil fans and bathroom ourselves. The deck and swing were awesome. We watched the song birds come eat at the feeders. The fall colors were amazing. We came to unwind and unplug and that is what we did.

Beautiful Views, Very Peaceful

This was the perfect getaway house, not far off the beaten path, but still quiet and peaceful. The wraparound porch and views were our favorites. The kids loved sleeping in bunk beds and switched each night from top to bottom. We heard elk bugles at night, had several elk sightings around the property in the mornings and evenings, and we really enjoyed the hummingbirds and other birds who frequented the feeders. The property was clean and the layout provided us plenty of space. The bathroom appears newly renovated. There is no wi-fi and we had hardly a cell signal, but this was not a problem for us as we went there to unplug and enjoy the mountains. There is a landline and satellite TV. The house has no AC, but when it was hot, opening windows and running the ceiling fans made us very comfortable. We will book this house again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great cabin to escape to. A beautiful porch with great mountain views, the sounds of water and beautiful hummingbirds. The inside of the cabin is nice with 3 bedrooms, a kitchen and recently renovated bathroom. There is also a gas grill and fire pit making cooking easy during this COVID time. The place was very clean and plenty of kitchen supplies, linens and towels. Things to note, I have Verizon wireless no internet or phone worked, which I loved but others might not! The location is fairly remote with sharp turns and private roads.
