Kootenay Paradise Retreat!

Ein umweltfreundliches, gemütliches Haus auf einem Felsvorsprung mit einem Pool, der sich direkt vom Vorderdeck aus erstreckt. Wunderschöne Aussicht auf den Kootenay See, den Duncan Fluss und die Selkirk Berge. Ein Whirlpool befindet sich direkt neben dem Pool. Ein erstaunlicher 30-Fuß-Teich und ein 16-Fuß-Wasserfall befinden sich gleich um die Ecke vom Pool. Achtundvierzig Sonnenkollektoren über dem Teich versorgen das Haus mit Strom. Zwei große Gärten sind mit Gemüse und Beeren gefüllt. Zweiundachtzig Hektar Land sorgen für absolute Privatsphäre und es gibt ein Netz von Wanderwegen, die man genießen kann. Nehmen Sie den Pfad zum Canyon und rastenden Bach (eher wie ein Fluss) auf der Rückseite des Grundstücks. Wildlife gibt es zuhauf. Über 50 Kolibris beschützen die vielen Futterhäuschen rund um das Sonnendeck. Das Haus ist rustikal mit vielen Fenstern und einer Infrarotsauna. Kann 8 unterbringen, wenn 2 in unserem Wohnmobil in Ordnung sind. In der Umgebung gibt es viele Möglichkeiten zum Bootfahren, Kajakfahren, Angeln, Wandern, Radfahren und natürlichen heißen Quellen. Weltklasse Alpin Wandern und Backpacking. Reiten. Wildwasser-Rafting. Lebensraumreservat, Vogelschutzgebiet und Feuchtgebiet 5 Minuten entfernt. Besuchen Sie die wunderschönen Western Painted Turtles. Überall großartige Fotografie. Der Kootenay Lake ist 5 Minuten und der Duncan Lake 15 Minuten entfernt. Geführte Pakete sind verfügbar. Weltklasse-Musikfestival am langen Augustwochenende im nahe gelegenen historischen Dorf Kaslo, 35 Minuten entfernt. Besuchen Sie die pulsierende Kulturstadt Nelson, die nur 1 1/2 Stunden entfernt liegt. Golfen in Kaslo. Schauen Sie sich unsere Bilder an. Sie sagen alles! A Hidden Gem

Love this place!!! It’s our third time staying there. It’s tucked away … no traffic, no noise… just the wildlife in the area. Great hiking trails nearby. The house offers everything we need. Always an enjoyable stay !!

Summer vacation

My family had our third year out at this beautiful property. Every time we come the garden offers different delicious treats. We relax and enjoy the pool and nearby lake, and are so grateful to have this spot to return to.

We loved the privacy and natural surroundings. We went later in the season and still saw hummingbirds. The kids basically lived in the pool.

Private Paradise

We chose this location for relaxation but there is so much you can do. The hosts are amazing, the property is out of this world. We were comfortable, entertained, and enjoyed our stay. My son loved the fish in the pond, and the waterfall. We got to roast marshmallows and enjoy the scenery. Would love to go back and would highly recommend staying!

From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found something special. The pool, hot tub, and gardens were absolutely incredible. Every morning we wandered through the garden picking fresh raspberries, and being able to harvest carrots and beets was memorable touch. It felt like our own little private paradise. And the views? Simply breathtaking—you never get tired of looking at them.Our young granddaughter practically lived in the pool! It was the highlight of her vacation, and watching her have so much fun made the trip even more special for all of us. And what a joy to allow the dogs to run free in the grassy area.Although the property feels wonderfully private and tucked away from the hustle and bustle, we were pleasantly surprised to find a well-stocked grocery store only about 10 minutes away. One thing that really impressed us was how thoughtfully equipped the home was. We've stayed in many vacation rentals where we've had to buy basic items like spices, coffee, sugar, ketchup, mustard, and other condiments. Not here! This home was stocked with virtually everything you could possibly need.We even experienced a major windstorm during our stay that knocked out the power throughout the area. Thankfully, the home has a backup generator which showed how well prepared the owners are.I grew up in the Kootenays and wanted a place close enough to visit family in Castlegar while still feeling like we were truly on vacation. This property was absolutely perfect. Thanks!

Hidden Gem!

This was our first trip to the Canadian Rockies, and we weren’t sure what to expect but from the moment we arrived it felt like a home, not just a rental, it was extremely well stocked! The views from the pool were amazing, it was so peaceful and quiet, we mostly sat in the pool in silence soaking in the view. So much wildlife in the area and plenty of nearby hiking. The deck it set up perfectly to catch sunrise an amazing sunset overlooking the lake and river. The place was setup with tons of outdoor activities, unfortunately we hit a bad year with mosquitoes and couldn’t fully enjoy all the outdoor activities. We absolutely loved this place and will be back 100%

Paradise!

We spent 3 nights at the rental and the views are breathtaking! The owners are great with communication and easy to get ahold of. There is sooo much privacy and we loved all the little touches inside and out. Interesting and unique decorations inside and there are 2 large gardens, a pond with fish and a waterfall. We ate beets, carrots and some broccoli from the garden. We saw deer in the yard and a wild turkey. The rental is VERY well stocked with anything you may need. I’d recommend this property if you want a little trip to get away from it all and enjoy beautiful view and a great get away with all the comforts!

We were looking for a destination that was quiet and offered us some solitude. We could not have found a better location!! It was peaceful, relaxing and very welcoming. We were there just a couple of days, and it felt like we were there for a long time. The amenities and the home are very well-maintained. But I cannot describe the views.....the views are SPECTACULAR !!! Thank you to the hosts, very open and transparent throughout the process.

Paradise

It is difficult to describe the feelings we have for this property. We cannot think of anytime on any holiday we have been more relaxed and at peace. The view,the home, the pool, the hot tub, the HiFi!!! If you want to get away from it all and just chill this is definitely the place. Robyn & Glen were excellent hosts and we could not have asked for more. We will look forward to returning and seeing Shamus & Patrick O'Bear again soon.

Peaceful Getaway

This property is as good as the pictures depict. Robyn and Glen are amazing hosts. They put a lot of thought into every detail, they are extremely well organized and they a very easy to get ahold of if needed. The property itself is amazing and the area surrounding Argenta is equally amazing. If you are looking to get away from the crowds of people and chaos, this is the place for you. It is very peaceful and incredibly beautiful.

Beautiful property!

This rental was beautiful and was stocked with everything needed and more. The hosts were great to communicate with and quick to respond. You can tell the effort they have put into making this rental a beautiful vacation. The area is lovely and there is much to do both at the cabin and it's surroundings.

Truly is Paradise

This place is unbelievable. Remote, beautiful scenery, great place to spend quality time with family or friends. The check in was easy and the hosts were warm and welcoming. There was never a shortage of things to do for myself and my 10 year old son. We will be back !!! Thank you!!!

We wanted to get out of the city and leave our stressful jobs in the Okanagan behind. So we searched for and found our slice of paradise in the West Kootenay and have never regretted it.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

We had a list of 20 possible properties that fit the description of what we were looking for and we packed up our truck and spent a weekend checking them all out. This was the last property on our list and we immediately fell in love with it and the area. We returned home at the end of the weekend and on Monday we met with the bank to make an offer. The rest is history!

After 25 years we are still discovering new things to do out here. The hiking is endless and the lakes are beautiful. There is so much to explore. We are tucked away in a little corner of B.C. that is undiscovered and special. Over the years we have repeatedly talked about wanting to share what we have with others and finally four years ago we decided to go for it and here we are listed as a vacation rental. We hope our place will inspire others to pursue their dreams.
