Quick get away

Location was perfect, the dock on the canal was gorgeous. The only issues we had were that it took the fridge 2 days to finally get cool and there were a lot of bugs in the house. I know it’s common during the summer months, but the doors into the house had a few gaps that were large enough to see sunlight coming through.

We would have been happy to send someone to assess the fridge and spray for pests. The property has since had a routine pest control treatment. We hope you will visit again!

Hi Derek- The majority of our properties do indeed have keyless entry which allows for contactless check-in, this one has opted to remain with a hard key. Thats the great thing about our office, we're right over the bridge as you enter the beach! Unlike hotels, we only supply a starter pack of kitchen & bathr soaps along with paper products. There may be left over from prervious travelers that guests can most certainaly help themselve to, but we can only guarantee the starter pack. Thanks for staying with us, its a great little bungalow right on the canal, definitely perfect for those who enjoy the water activities!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was great!! Perfect!! The primary issue was the steps out on the boat slip had a lot of barnacles on it and could severely cut up your feet. This is a safety hazard. I would suggest the steps be upgraded to one that could slide up out of the water when not being used. Also - even though maintenance stopped by to fix it, we were still not able to get cable.

Nearly the perfect property

This house was well-located, extremely clean, and just the perfect size for our family. Also loved having the boat dock. The main issue was the giant roaches (some call them palmetto bugs). I have lived in coastal locations much of my life, including Carolina Beach, and have never seen so many giant roaches inside of a house before. There were three upon arrival, and about two each subsequent day. Was extremely worried that they were going to crawl on me during the night and/or hitch a ride home in our luggage. The owners really need to invest in some good pest control, and landscaping remediation to really make this a desireable property.

Complete lie!

Do not let the listing name “remodeled” and pictures fool you! This house was disgusting and nothing was “remodeled”. Bryant company seem to be a big successful company with multiple listings throughout Carolina beach and Wilmington with a nice big main office building and friendly staff but sadly the condition of this beach house was so bad it was very unprofessional of them to still rent it out. Complete disgusting waste of our money. Here goes… Roaches! Horrible odor as soon as you enter. Walls had disgusting stains throughout the house that could have easily been cleaned up by them. Walls/ paint/ wall paper were peeling/ lifting from what looks like due to water damage from within the walls (We were worried of mold due to the smell of the house and seeing the condition of the walls). Shower heads! Shower heads were so disgusting literally covered and caked with mildew and mold! Beds smelled awful. House was completely outdated and old, they just added new appliances and a few nice TVs . We clearly didn’t see anything “Remodeled” I guess they’re definition of remodeled was just adding newer furniture. On the bright side the location was nice just a 2 minute walk to the beach. The dock was really nice, we spent 80% of our time out there hanging out and fishing if we weren’t out and about because no body wanted to be inside that nasty house. Check in and out was simple and easy. Overall highly disappointed on their professionalism with renting out that disgusting house.

Hello, Mr. Williams - Based on the feedback we received from you on the second day of your stay, we immediately deployed Cape Fear Termite and Pest Control to inspect the Boat Dock Bungalow on 5/25/19. CFT&P found no evidence of bed bugs, termites, roaches, ants, or flies at the time of their inspection, nor did our Maintenance Technician. We are unable to correct an issue that cannot be confirmed by professionals, but we hope you nonetheless enjoyed your stay in beautiful Carolina Beach and will visit our beaches again soon.
