We very much enjoyed our 7-night stay in this Palms condo. Brian was an excellent host as he was always available to answer our questions and did everything to ensure that our stay was pleasant and comfortable. The unit is exactly as pictured and was complete with everything we needed. We really appreciated all the beach items – towels, chairs, and umbrella, along with the hard side cooler which we used everyday as we visited every corner of the island during our stay. We valued the proximity to town with the beaches, restaurants, and grocery store five to ten minutes away yet just a few minutes from Highway 31 making it a good base for the longer day trips to Hana and Haleakalā. Hopefully, we will return to Maui soon, and with any luck we will rebook with Brian for that vacation.

We had booked Brian’s condo for our honeymoon and it was exactly as advertised. Brian was super keen on having the place clean and also provided some lovely recommendations around the island while being available for any questions we had during our stay. 10/10 will be back again.

Really nice stay

I really enjoyed the condo at the palms. We had a good space, nice balcony, and it also came with some of the necessities for laundry and dishes. I would have liked to know clearly it had central air or not, but we made it work with the bedroom air and windows. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful!

My 12 year old and I just stayed at this unit. It was very clean, spacious, close to the pool and beach! Location in Wailea is perfect-close to shops and restaurants. We loved it and will definitely go back and stay again. The hosts were lovely and very attentive. They helped us with suggestions, things to do and were prompt in replying to our questions. Elegant privacy

We’ve rented condos in Wailea from this host several times before but not this property or this condo community. We were very pleased with the well appointed and large condo, and especially the large private lanai equipped with a gas grill. The unit has a small but fully equipped kitchen , which allows for a larger than usual living space. The bedroom is up a few stairs and down a long hall and feels very secluded and private. The lanai off the living space is spacious and equipped with both a large seating unit but also a large table for 4 and a gas grill with a full tank of propane gas. I love to cook so made most of our meals from local Maui ingredients and ate them on the lanai. The condo is also fully equipped with beach umbrella, chairs, cooler etc - more than you need for the beach. But the best thing we discovered was that the beach is walkable - at the bottom of the complex and across the street - and a good beach for both swimming and snorkeling. Within minutes snorkeling, we saw several turtles. There’s only a small glimpse of the ocean from the condo, but the west Maui mountains could be seen from the king bed when I awake each morning and the privacy more than made up for it. All in all a very nice rental property.

Owner that wouldn’t re schedule our trip because of fire and loss of life

My wife was embarrassed about how dirty the condo was. The whole Outside area was covered with dirt . She spent the whole afternoon wiping down the furniture and tables . Her best friend was in the condo below us with the same problem with the same owner. No re schedule stuck with coming or loose full payment!

Great location, enough room for 4

We loved this location in Wailea. Its is not a short walk to the beach but we used it as a home base to explore the beaches in the area. The unit was well equipped and spacious— enough room for our family with 2 college aged kids. This complex is a bit dated compared to others but the communication with the owners is great and the location excellent!

We have stayed at the Palms of Wailea several times at a different properties. We were really excited to stay here for a week in early September, 2022. What we found was an old and need in repair property that was only clean around the edges. Before you book this property be aware that for us the following is what bothered us (which I shared with the owner): a wall of dust bunnies behind the bed and major dust around the bed in the bedroom (owners response: its a heavy bed how am I supposed to dust back there); no tissue paper (owner response: we provide shampoo); all the windows are old and very hard to open; the TV (which isn't critical) was a Roku and very complicated to use:; crumbs in the drawers of the kitchen; the grill diffusers were burnt out (one was missing) and wouldn't ignite and the burners plugged, plus it was completely filthy - it even caught fire while we were using it (owners response - the property may not allow grills in the future); the pillows were terrible (owner said he had just purchased them - we ended up buying pillows at Ross that were not bad). Remember no AC (bedroom only) in the main living room (this shouldn't be a problem but it's a lot warmer in Maui than it used to be). When I spoke to the owner, he said that the property was one of the least expensive condos at the Palms of Wailea and I said, "well, it should be clean either way." I wasn't sure if I should leave this review - I don't like sharing a negative review. This property isn't what you might expect. It's definitely just tolerable.

A Nice Place to Stay

The condo was very clean when we arrived and provided everything we needed for our stay in Maui. Location is great for nearby shopping, fine dining, snorkeling, and so many beautiful beaches within a 5-10 minutes drive. Large lanai is great for relaxing on and has both sun and shade places to sit depending on what you want.

Hawaiian Staycation

From Oahu did a staycation on the island of Maui for my wifes birthday. Had a situation with the A/C unit in the room contacted Brian and he was there in a snap to assist with the situation, it was all my fault didnt look at the remote correctly to turn the unit on. Brian is an awesome host texted me a few times to assure me and the wife was having a blast. Overall experience with the unit 2 thumbs up, great location in Wailea close to beaches and alot of good grindz in driving distance. Recommendations on food places nearby....Da Kitchen, Miso Phat Sushi, Havens, Morimoto Maui all in the Kihei area. Big Mahaloz again to Brian A HUI HOU

Maui Retreat

We had a nice stay. Property is slightly dated. A greater attention to detail would have been welcomed. The pages were wrinkled and old for the welcome packet and tv instructions. A simple clean laminated page would have been a nice first impression. Also, the pots/pans need to be desperately updated. The sliding door tracks needed to be cleaned. They were dirty and grimy which tarnished the appeal for the outdoor patio. And, a keurig or Nespresso coffee machine would have added greater modern convenience. Overall, we enjoyed our stay - it was adequate.

Wailea is one of the best if not the best resort community in Maui and perhaps in all of Hawaii. The Palms at Wailea is a gorgeous condo complex. It is very sparsely built, and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. The swimming pool and hot-tub in the Palms is one of the best. The Palms is a short walk away from some of the most beautiful beaches you will ever see. Nearby luxury hotels, spas, shopping, golf, and tennis is an added bonus.

This second-floor unit is furthest away from the main road; it is very private and quiet. It is in one of the best buildings in the Palms. We first bought the downstairs unit (#901) as our home, and we lived in it for 8 years and loved every minute of it. We loved this setting so much that later on we also bought this upstairs unit (#902). Now we are renting both of them. These two units are two of the most popular one-bedrooms in the Palms. This upstairs condo is very spacious and bright, and it is luxuriously decorated. The lanai (outside living space) is very private and quiet. It also has limited ocean views.
