Diese Eigentumswohnung, die seit über 20 Jahren als Luxusferienhaus von einer Familie geführt wird, wurde umfassend renoviert und aktualisiert. Ein Luxus-Haus, keine gewöhnliche, billig eingerichtete Wohnung. Auf einem Felsvorsprung mit herrlichem Blick auf das Meer mischen sich die Klänge der Wellen mit der tropischen Brise, um das ultimative Inselleben zu schaffen. Zwei Lanais am Meer umgeben den schönen Wohnbereich mit Komfort und Eleganz. Wenn Kontakt mit der Welt benötigt wird, gibt es einen 60-Zoll-HDTV mit umfangreichen Premium-Kanälen und Netflix. (2. HDTV im Schlafzimmer und Netflix / DVD-Fernseher im 2. Schlafzimmer), Unterhaltungszentrum für iPod, CD, DVD und drahtlosen Highspeed-Internetzugang. View was great! Wonderful to have a lanai with lounge chairs. Unit had just about everything we needed and was well stocked with the essentials. Pool was very nice to have on property. Convenient to lots of beaches and places to eat or get groceries. Mahalo for a wonderful north shore get away!

View is unbeatable and kitchen is very well stocked. Every appliance you could want. We used the bbq a lot. Our stay was during spring so not having AC wasn’t an issue for us. We had the windows open all night for soothing ocean sounds. We would stay again!

I highly recommend this place! Beautiful views! The condo was very clean and very nice inside. Had everything we possibly needed. Great location and only minutes to walk down to Hideaway Beach. Did not have A/C, but if you open the screened windows and sliding doors, the breeze is all that is needed. If you rent here you can't go wrong as the neighborhood is top notch. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

The good:The location is nice, in Princeville near the entrance to the 1 Hotel, 12 minutes to town. The views from the condo are spectacular, and the patio is a great spot to hang out and watch the sunset. The pool has a great view and is clean and nice sized. There are beach chairs and an umbrella available for use. The not so good:No AC, I assume none of the Puu Poa condos have it. Communication with the host was non existent. The washer broke before we arrived and was never fixed and our questions went unanswered. The condo is in need of a refresh- several light fixtures didn’t work, the doors stick, the floors are creaky, the hot water out of the taps was inconsistent, the sheets & blankets smelled mildewy/moldy. There are only rattan shades on the sliding glass doors so the bedroom and living room are filled with light when the sun comes up. The doors on both bedrooms are slats so noise travels easily. Both are challenging if you’re traveling with young children as we were.

I do not understand why the rare guest must write exaggerated negative reviews. The washer machine had JUST become unreliable. We could not know this until told by a guest which happened with the next guest. A new washer/dryer was ordered, but because on Kauai major appliances must come from Oahu, it takes a month to get there. There is no one on the island to fix it. This guest did not report it to us. They had my cell number or could easily have sent us a message at VRBO. Before the new washer/dryer was installed, I offered at no cost Concierge Laundry service where someone would pick up her laundry anytime and return it quickly fresh and clean. She never used it as she did not communicate with us, so saying "our question went unanswered" is unfair. We have to hear a question to answer it. The sheets and blankets are replaced frequently. The North Shore is wet, everything rusts and at some times of year, things can get a moldy smell, but there is a big difference between smelling moldy and BEING moldy. Moldy they are not. Unlike most condos with cheap rugs that really do get moldy, we have high-end wood floors (not laminate). With the humidity, some unevenness can occur due to the wood swelling (ditto the wood doors) and a slight creak is expected. The hot water heater is new and no one has had a complaint about it before. We both use the shower every day when we are there and hot water has not be an issue. Personally, I think the ratan shades are fantastic. They keep out the bright sun, but you can still see the ocean, just the right amount of transparency. In addition, we bought this condo at this location because no one can look into the condo from any other unit or from the ground on the ocean side offering complete privacy. The doors between rooms are slotted on purpose in order to allow the wonderful trade winds to glide through the unit. The only noise one might hear comes from the next room. Perhaps it was the children playing. Light fixtures rarely break and again there have no reports previously or since from other guests, but, of course, this will be checked out. I will not criticize the guest for the condition of the condo when she left.

The home was incredibly spacious and the views were incredible. The layout was perfect for our family and everything was well stocked.The nights were cool with the big beautiful sliding doors open and the fans going, and the house was also nice and cool in the daytime. Impeccably clean, and as others have said, more spacious and even nicer inside than the pictures show. We would 100% stay here again. If you are looking at other places, the slight price increase for this location over some others is totally worth it.

Pros: Plenty of paper products, quality linens and cleaning supplies. Inside was clean upon arrival. Directions and entry instructions were accurate and detailed. Beautiful views from lanais. Well kept grounds. Comfortable beds. Plenty of cookware, tableware etc. Con’s: Lanais were dirty with standing water because of clogged drains. Had a stranger pop up onto lanai-totally freaked me out, said he was there to clear drains as they were causing damage to unit below- indicated he knew owner yet when I alerted owner to the situation I didn’t receive any response. Felt like we should’ve been warned? We had asked right after booking AND a week prior to arrival about the unit having 2 umbrellas and was assured they were there. Upon arrival, there was no beach cooler of any kind, the 4-5 beach chairs had ripped straps so unable to carry backpack style and ONE umbrella. Owner offered to reimburse us if we went to the store to purchase these items. We didn’t because there’s no guarantee reimbursement would have occurred. Ice maker worked but not the dispenser (not a big deal) Living room furniture is old, uncomfortable and stained. Rattan ottoman was broken. We laid sheets over everything we sat on. Umbrella for carrying use was broken. Most of the ad photos didn’t match up with the reality.Calling this unit “Magnificent “ is a HUGE stretch

I would like to respond to these comments. First, thanks for acknowledging the things that you found excellent. With regard for the criticism, I have had a lot of guests recently with many going out in the morning and then another guest coming in the same day. My cleaner has been very good, but there is a limit to how much time there is to check if something is missing. For instance, we have always had 2 umbrellas. Did the previous guests leave it at the beach or left it in the rental car? Probably. There is no other explanation for it being missing. Ditto for the cooler, which we have always provided. The cleaning of lanai drains is the responsibility of the HOA, not the owner. They never let us know when they will come and clean out the drains. Clogged drains will lead to water on the normally very clean decks. Regarding a workman coming in, potential guests should know that after you come in the outer door, the atria is open and is like a front yard with plants. The actual doors to the unit are inside that area. So there is a buffer between cleaning the atria drains and the doors to the unit. To clean the lanai, the occupant must let them in. If this somehow did not happen that time, I can only apologize for the HOA mistake. Guests are pretty tough on beach chairs. It is always surprising and they are replaced frequently. I am insulted by the snide comment that they did not know if they would be reimbursed for buying what they wanted if anything was missing. Of course we would. The living room sofa is not old at all. It was what is available in Kauai where the selection is very limited. I think the dark blue color is seen at old-fashioned even though it is fairly new. We are replacing it with something that has a lighter color by buying on the mainland and shipping it to Hawaii. Regarding the condition of the ottoman, this is news to us since there have been no other comments about it. When children are present, stains increase and we need to be told or the cleaner needs to see in order to clean. In the rare case, we are sorry when anyone is unhappy. The photos are absolutely genuine and recently taken as they are updated whenever new furniture is bought. We will be at the condo late August and replace anything missing or not in excellent shape.

This was our first stay on Kauai, and what a place to start! The forecast was for rain throughout our visit, but the weather-guessers got it wrong... and we were blessed with fantastic weather throughout our stay. The condo was clean, very well stocked, and the kitchen had all the necessary items for cooking meals. The only minor gripe is that the mattress in the master bedroom seemed a little past its prime and could use replacing soon. That said, it did not greatly affect our stay. The patio offered breathtaking views of the rugged coast to the north; and surfers, turtles, and breaching whales were spotted during our visit. The Puu Poa condo complex appeared to be well kept, had ample parking available, and the pool and tennis facilities were much appreciated. It is an easy walk to both Puu Poa and Hideaway beaches. We ended up loving the Princeville area and would highly recommend it. Will visit again!

Great View. Slept like a baby listening to the ocean waves crash throughout the night. Great place to stay for a family of four.

absolute perfection!

We love staying at Pua Poa, it’s perfect for staying with kids. Ideal location for ease and beauty. The view cannot be beat and it is luxury at its finest.
