Hi Cleo, thank you for your feedback. I'm so sorry that you had to remove the leaves from the entry. That area does get a lot of leaves with the amount of trees there. Our maintenance man sweeps the porch and I will be speaking with him about this. Dish towels should have been provided and that should have been caught prior to your check-in. We do have a back stock of linens and towels in our office that is just steps away. We would have been happy to bring some over. I'm glad that you enjoyed the location despite the leaves at the entry and the dishcloth issue. Thank you for your review.

We are sorry to hear that the city street noise bothered you during your stay. Unfortunately at times city streets can be noisy and we do our very best to lessen the effects from this, including providing a white noise machine in the unit. Additionally, we are sorry that you found the space difficult to navigate. The bedroom is actually quite large which is why we have a King size bed in this unit, so we were surprised to hear this feedback. We thank you for being a wonderful guest, and hope you consider staying with us again on your next trip to Charleston.

Hi Tanya, First off, I would like to apologize. I will say that during the time of your reservation we had two separate staffing issues (one in particular with the cleaning lady we employed at this time). However, that is no excuse. We provide the check-in document 30 days prior to the check-in date and make contact with our guests 48 hours prior to the check-in date. The fact that you did not receive the pre check-in document prior to the date of your check-in confuses me. We do warn our guests that the e-mail occasionally goes to the spam folder. We use a laundering service for all linens, and have never received a complaint since using them. I have taken the matter up with them. We would have been happy to bring you fresh linens. We have a back stock of clean sheets and towels in our office that is steps away. I apologize for the wi-fi network name and password confusion. The wi-fi network name and password is listed on the pre check-in document and also printed on the router that is in the living area. I understand that you sent a text at midnight about this. We stay in contact with our guests throughout their entire stay but do sometimes miss texts messages or calls that come in after midnight. Again, I am sorry for the cleanliness issue, what you have described is completely unacceptable. We appreciate your feedback and have taken all things mentioned into account.

Thank you Amy for your review. We went ahead and stocked the kitchen with salt and pepper and a few other things. We found that most people use streaming devices these days so that is why we made the switch. I'm glad you enjoyed the location, cleanliness, and the charm of the home. Please come back anytime.

Hi Muriel, Thank you for your feedback. We did replace the thermostat during your stay and the heat then was working in normal condition. The downstairs can be a bit drafty which is why we provide a space heater for the downstairs. Some guests use it; some do not, it really just depends on the guests preference. The reason we asked for a picture was because neither of the property managers were downtown at that time and one of us was able to come back after hours and replace the battery. I do apologize that this put a damper on your experience. Again, thank you for your feedback.

Hi Jonathan, thank you for your review. We typically do not keep sponges in our rentals since they don't seem to stay very clean and need replaced frequently. We will take this into consideration. We do provide paper towels and dishcloths. Thank you for your feedback on the sofa. This is the first complaint we have received and will definitely start looking for a replacement sofa. The water mark on the ceiling appeared recently after Hurricane Matthew. Luckily, it is not an active leak. Our maintenance man will be repairing that small area of the ceiling. Again, thank you for your review. We hope to have you back in the future!
