The house is leaning pretty significantly and there is a strong musty smell. The house was pretty clean, but not the level I was expecting. There were water spots and the floor was dirty.

Great stay, convenient location

This upstairs apartment was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I loved how each bedroom had its own bathroom with spacious shower. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location

We had a great stay at The Elton! Great location And the accommodations were a perfect set up for myself, husband and teenage daughter. Management was great and very responsive.

Charleston visit

We enjoyed staying at the apt unit, was very clean and comfortable an had enough space for 3 adults. The location made it easy to get around and the bagel restaurant next door was great!

Great location. Can walk to most attractions downtown Charleston.We had a family of four stay here. Only complaint would be lack of space/seating in main area for a family to relax.

There was a lot of bug activity in the space that was certainly not expected. They did come and spray the night we found them but the problem got worse. The host was very kind to offer us another property of theirs to stay in but we went ahead and cut our trip short because the bugs we encountered were highly transferable.

Our stay at Cozy Haven/The Elton was excellent. We were there for a girls' trip, and there were so many things to love about the property. First, the location was ideal, close to the upper part of King Street with fabulous restaurants and really neat little cafes. Also we can't forget Holey City Bagel, which is right next to the rental. Next, the space worked perfectly for our group, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a sofa bed. The kitchen was efficient, allowing us to get snacks and breakfast, and the living space was ideal for just hanging out. There was also super-convenient parking in the church parking lot right across the street. Finally, I want to give a huge shout-out to the management company, Stay Duvet. They provided great guidance, were very responsive, and made us feel welcome and comfortable from the first moments we arrived. If you're heading to Charleston, staying at Cozy Haven is a wonderful option, and even if you cannot stay there, look for any other Stay Duvet property. You will be treated well!

Cute with Convenient Location

Clean, cute, and close to Upper King Street. The parking did get a little hectic because there was a funeral and it got very full, but we worked around it. The bagel shop next door is delicious.

Nice place

Very nice and convenient to the downtown. Parking was the only drawback. We had two cars and parking on the street you had to move one car every 24 hours. A nearby lot was $45 for a day.

The unit was really not what I was expecting at all. The entire thing is on a slant so you’re on uneven ground. It wasn’t super clean, bugs and scuff marks everywhere. WiFi password is listed wrong. And honestly the worst part was you’re not able to lower the air below 71. This is Charleston in the summer, outside it was over 100 degrees and not being able to lower the air was insane. I was told the pipes would freeze if we did….I wouldn’t suggest staying here.

Great location

The property is close to a lot of attrations and shopping but also far enough away from all the crowds and noise. Directly beside Holey City Bagels, which i highly recommend. The property was very nice and clean. Only negatives were no dishwasher or washer/dryer. Also yhe temperature was hard to maintain in all the rooms

This was a great location and the Host was very responsive to the issues during our stay. Like other reviewers said it is noisy if you're a light sleeper; however, this did not bother us. Noise should be expected based upon the location. We did have a clogged drain pan from the HVAC system that began dripping in the early morning hours but Duvet took care of the issue. The biggest concern we had was there were a lot of small roaches and other bugs. Duvet offered to come and spray/bait but we had our items all out, and we didn't want to take the time to pack everything before spraying. We just made sure when we got home that we didn't bring any extra visitors. If you plan to spend a lot of time inside just know there is limited seating and we found the couch uncomfortable. The beds were comfortable. Just know there is not a washer/dryer even though they provide a laundry starter kit. I had looked at so many VRBO's that I missed that there wasn't w/d. We requested fresh towels and they were brought to us within a couple of hours.
