Our First floor luxury apartment in an Art Nouveaux house in Cavalaire Sur- Mer near St Tropez . The house has a grand marble staircase with approx 20 steps to the 1st floor. Veranda with sea view and large shared swimming pool. Magnificent high ceilings, French windows in all rooms and mountain views from bedrooms. Private drive, electric gates and parking spaces .We have furnished and equipped our spacious apartment to a high standard to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Sleeps 4 . with a well equipped kitchen, dining area for six and lounge and bathroom and separate toilet .Two double bedrooms (one with twin beds) , the other with a double bed Wi-Fi is installed -so bring your mobiles and laptops.

Our apartment is a perfect base for a great holiday in Cavalaire sur Mer with the balcony which overlooks the large swimming pool and the sea - a perfect place to relax and to enjoy a glass of rose after a day at the beach .
Change over day is a sunday- so bookings go from Sunday to Sunday
History of the house
The house was originally owned by Baron Haussmann as his country residence. The house was originally called “Villa Fantaisie” The house was built in 1904. He was a famous architect in Paris. He designed the Grand Boulevards in Paris and was also the Minister of Finance.
Cavalaire Sur Mer
Cavalaire sur Mer is situated on a stretch of the Mediterranean coast that receives more sunshine than anywhere in France, more than 3,000 hours a year! The area has tall dark pines, oaks and eucalyptus trees.
Only 10-15 minutes’ walk to the town with interesting shops, plenty of excellent restaurants in the marina and in town , 4 km of white sandy beaches and a large marina. There is a secluded sandy beach (Bonporteau), which is 15 minute walk from our apartment.
Ideal for beach holidays, water sports, diving, deep fishing walking, cycling, tennis, golf, and horse riding. There is an excellent scenic cycle route through the Corniche des Maures nearby – heading west along the coast out of Cavalaire. It follows the old railway line so is mostly flat and nearly all off road – ideal for families. and lovely coastal walks along the famous Corniche des Maures just 15 minutes’ walk from our apartment.-or for further a field ( see the books and maps in the apartment) Golf at St Raphaels and Grimaud.
Travel to Cavalaire sur Mer
It is just 45 minutes’ drive from the airport in Hyeres (40km) and less than 2 hours from Nice (70 km) and from Marseille. Nearest railway station is either St Raphael (approx 30 kms) or Toulon ( approx 60 km) Trains from London St Pancreas International (Eurostar & TGV) goes direct to Marseille or via Paris or Lille either to Toulon , Marseille or to St Raphael. There is a direct bus to Cavalaire from Toulon ( Route St Tropez).
The Gulf de St. Tropez and the Iles d'Or
Several larger, well-known beach resorts are close-by and can be reached easily by local bus. These include St Tropez (17km), Ste Maxime (21km) and Le Lavandou (20km). The recently-developed marina towns of Port-Grimaud (15km) and Cogolin (16km) are now major tourist destinations. Catch the ferry from Cavalaire to visit the famous 'îles d'Or': the Levant islands, Porquerolles and Port Cros. These small islands are protected National Parks which have something for everyone: sandy beaches, signed paths and trails, extraordinarily clear waters with a signposted underwater 'nature' trail and ancient forts.
The Var region
Is famous for its vineyards and many within easy reach of Cavalaire are open to visitors. Take note of those that you would like to visit as you pass them on the roads into Cavalaire! Exploring inland, the hills, valleys, vineyards and pine forests of the Alpes de Haute Provence provides varied and fascinating destinations. Visiting the old villages perched high in the mountains are a great way to cool down on a summer evening. For example Grimaud or Gassin.
