Beautiful Condo in a Perfect Location

My husband and I spent 8 days in this lovely condo along the banks of Spring Creek.

The unit was very well appointed, beautifully furnished and very clean. We only used the master bedroom but found it to be very comfortable. The mattresses were wonderful!! The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed.

We chose this location because we thought the view of the creek would be nice. It was everything we expected and more. We were able to walk right outside our door and cross the footbridge that leads to a path to town, which is only a few blocks. The scenery is spectacular.

Eunjoo was very responsive and easy to work with. She takes excellent care of her property. We highly recommend.

(It is like heart of heaven)

Canmore is also the right choice to go in Alberta.

Some time body, mind and eyes really need relaxation, comfort, relieve and I cannot get this by any type of massage or sauna some pure feelings can insert into the body by nature & to passing whole day around Rockies are one of those beautiful, like silky, smooth place. It’s hard to find to pass the night at this location I believe any time but if the places like this I got again its mean I am dam lucky such a nice place to live or sleep for every point of view. (It is like heart of heaven)

Great apartment, great host

We couldn't have asked for a better stay on our first visit to Alberta; the apartment was beautiful, fully equipped and five minutes' walk from the main streets of Canmore. And Eunjoo is a perfect hostess. She was always available with answers to any queries, really helpful with check-in and check-out, and even provided a bottle of wine and cheese 'n' crackers when it was clear we were going to arrive too late to shop for food.

Good Unit, BUT...toxic Owner who improperly kept deposit and "made it personal"

We would stay in the Rundle Cliffs units again, but this Owner has been our ONLY bad VRBO experience. Do yourself a favor and move on to another Owner. We wrote this long review to save others from our bad experience with this angry, toxic person.

Our family has been using VRBO for a while, probably 7-8 rentals total. Always for long periods near ski areas, in upscale units.

The unit was in good condition. It even had a heated floor, which was a bonus the Owner had not mentioned. Overall, the Rundle Cliffs complex (where this unit is located) seemed new and was within walking distance to surprisingly quaint old downtown Canmore. There was building construction nearby, but noise was not an issue for us. And though the unit's windows are adjacent to a street and sidewalk, vehicular and pedestrian traffic were minimal.

If you are considering renting from this Owner, be warned that you may be falsely accused with no basis and no evidence of having broken something, so that the Owner can keep the entire, very high, cleaning deposit. For us, the false claim came a day and a half after we had checked out.

After explaining you broke nothing, you can expect a litany of angry and accusatory texts (all in broken English). Either due to her temperament or her language difficulties, the tone will be irrational, escalatory, and personally venomous. In our case, she changed from "you broke a desk" to claims that we had left the place a mess, had more occupants than claimed, our children were adults, etc.

Be warned. You do not want this toxicity to taint your vacation memories.

These are cut and pasted verbatim from her communications. Trust us, and stay away....

"I just came to my place to check and desk is broken and the I cannot close the drawer.

What happened ?

I bought this desk all most 4000 paid.

Could you explain what happened for desk ?"

"You even tell a lie to me. You asked me discount for the first time."

"So sad. People are like this. How old your kids ? How many people were here ?"

"At least you should say to me sorry about this and ask how you can do for this desk ..

You even discounted the rates that was already reduced and You broke my desk .

What you can do this for me ?"

We will work with the credit card company and VRBO to get our money back. She may "reply" to this. If you read it, imagine you are in our shoes and did nothing wrong and are on the receiving end of whatever allegations she makes. Again, move on. Not worth it.

Vermieter-Kommentar: I believe in myself what I did my best for my guests and keep 5-star rating over the 1.4 years via VRBO hosting and super host on the other site.I am always preparing my place for my guests feel like home, comfortable, clean and beautiful atmosphereWhen I opened my door after my guests left, I mostly appreciated how my guests maintained clean and tidy even they paid the cleaning fee.With Diana's Case , even though she didn't pay cleaning fee as she requested discount for the last minute booking.I removed cleaning fee and rates for 250 CDN. . She left all used food in the fridge and dirty paper towel and Fondu bowl in the freezer, throw the towels under the toilet and I don't want to mention more detail but it was ok This all I could clean it just took longer time.But for the desk damage, I cannot repair by myself.I had to hold the 300 deposit to fix my desk.when I checked one day after their check out I found my desk was moved to all the way to the wall and right side slightly and has damaged in front of the desk, deeply chipped and the wood piece is missing and color falls off, the drawer cannot be closed and chipped several places.My 4 month and one-year-old desk made by Hooker became an old damaged looking after their staying. She said they never did it. I checked and cleaned before her stay and everything was good ..Diana and her husband reported after check in everything was great condition, clean and beautiful place ,if there was a damage before them,they surely report my desk is damaged and drawer cannot be closed when they checked in to avoid their fault but they satisfied for everything was great. and it was !! I have an obvious evidence something happened to the desk during their stay as well. but they are denying for this. I had honest reports from my guests for the missed key and broke my decorations, cups, wine glasses and I appreciate their honest report and I never charged anything from their deposit .100% refunded until this case. It might happen by their kids playing around, but instead of denying and threatening me saying take to the court and report to the media and insulting my English. They should say sorry to me and take responsibility for paying repair fee for my damaged desk .I estimated to fix it was 499.21 She paid 300 CND for damage deposit . I have to pay rest of the differences to fix it. they damaged to my desk but damaged my reputation a lot more after I provided my place perfectly great condition for her family..

Location and accomodations were perfect

Property owner was very attentive, kind and informative. She gave spot on recommendations for things to do in the area. Park pass was a definite perk. We went to Banff several times and while it was nice we are glad we actually stayed in Canmore. Not one miss on the restaurant choices and no huge buses crowding the roadways and area in general. Eunjoo was so right when she sent us to Morraine lake. It was so much more picturesque than Lake Louise.... but easy to visit both. The parking directly out the unit was very convenient as well. Easy to unload into the back entrance of the unit.

The property was very nice and loved the boardwalk for walking into the downtown Canmore area. Eliminated the need to park the car and the walk was most helpful in walking of the meals! The heated floors were very nice and this is a very well insulated unit. The unit itself is clean and well appointed and the kitchen was very nice with all the conveniences and a varied choice of coffees. The natural soaps were a very pleasant surprise.

Hope to return to the area again someday and will be hoping to stay in this same unit again.
