OCEAN ESCAPEWe stayed at this property from 12/10 – 12/18 and enjoyed it.Excellent location; halfway between Waldport and Newport, sitting on a low bluff overlooking an empty and expansive beach (at low tide). The path to the beach is not for the mobility impaired but myself (70) and my wife (69) had no issues. Just a short drive to Lost Creek allows easier access to the beach.As other reviews mention, the home could stand a little touchup on some things. It looks like all the windows are relatively new and do a lot to keep the highway noise down during the day and at night there is very little traffic on 101 so it becomes a moot point. The sunroom windows do get dirty from the rain and ocean spray, so keeping them clean for the best views is recommended. Heat is provided via electric baseboard heaters that will if given time warm the entire home, but there is a wood stove close to the center of the main room that when a good fire is stoked will help with any heating issues you may have.The kitchen is equipped with a large refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster.
