Great views and clean house with amazing beach access! I would point out that sleeping up in the loft will be very difficult for most adults and young children and I ended up sleeping in the living room for my own safety. I would rent the house again for sure.

The house was delightful. I was disappointed the the stairs were not clearly marked nor was there any kind of railing. We couldn’t get down to the beach. BUT, when we accessed the beach from Lost Creek SP, we finally saw the stairs and where they led. They were very deep so not good for us. But we would rent there again for sure.

this house was really great for our stay. it's oceanfront with beach access (seems unique for the area from what we could see during our beach walks). the house is a bit rundown probably, for like a HGTV type standard. but if, like us, you're interested in the house for the other things it offers then you won't be disappointed. it was a comfortable stay! we really enjoyed it. wish we could've brought our dog on our trip, she would've loved this place!

Loved the property. The second bed in the loft is a little small but worked. The rock path to the ocean is steep and difficult to climb. Would be much better to have hand rails. The view is absolutely amazing and quiet but it is a struggle to get down the rocks..

Nice out of town location

Had a nice stay at this location. The beach access was great. Private, and quaint. Road noise was loud, and because its a dog friendly location it did have a bit of a dog smell to the house. Other than that, it was good. Was nice to be out of the town proper, but close enough to necessities.

The home was as advertised. It sits proper above the cliff/steep hill down to the water. The view as spectacular with easy access to the beach. We would rent this home again.

Cozy Cliff house

Perfect layout for the space of the home. Everything you would want to have for a beach trip. The views are spectacular. I can’t wait to bring my family again. Absolutely perfect for a family of 4. Kids absolutely loved sleeping in loft.

Cozy Cottage

This beach house was a wonderful getaway. It was very stormy so we didn’t go to the beach much but there was plenty to keep us cozy and entertained. We were very impressed with the streaming selection for TV. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The switch for the patio lights didn’t work but we found an extension cord and got to enjoy them. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect solitude

We really enjoyed it. It was a good location, close to Newport but not in town. The beachfront was clean and accessible, and the backyard really is the beach. The deck and sunroom were perfect for whale whatching, as was the loft bedroom. We would stay again! Thanks

Renting a beach front cabin in December probably wasn't the best idea, especially for the price we could have rented a hotel room on Nye beach for half the price. Some of the amenities in the kitchen could be upgraded, for example the toaster only toast bread on one side so you need to do it twice, the coffee maker is kind of a cheap one, if you make too big of a pot the grounds end up in the pot. The refrigerator is nice I looked new worked great. The beach access is not for anyone with any physical limitations, it's very steep and slippery when wet. I am 5'7" 130 lb and the shower stall was very cramped for me, not sure how somebody who is over 6 ft tall could use it. It has a nice wood burning stove which if you come in the fall or winter you will need, it heating the cabin up very quickly. The town of Newport is only 7 to 10 minutes away there's a lot to do there. It's great that it's pet friendly, our dog really enjoyed the beach which wasn't crowded at all at this time of year so she could run loose. Overall we enjoyed our stay there just thought it was a little overpriced for what you get.

Perfect location and wonderful view

My husband and I had a wonderful stay with our two dogs. The house is the last house with no neighbor to one side. The private stone steps down to the beach is wide and solid, much better than the narrow and steep wooden staircase I see around the nearby houses. This place offers a quiet and center view to the waves. We had a very nice and relaxing stay.

We had a wonderful time. It was quite foggy, which from what I understand was from a storm front out on the ocean and was not typical to be that dense. Other than that, the trip was absolutely amazing. We even decided to stay an extra night and owners were very accommodating.Watching the sunset from the two chairs halfway down to the beach path is a must. The pathway from the house to the beach can be a little tricky. The first half is not hard but the second half is made of large rocks and you do have to carefully work your way down. The bed was extremely comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.

Cozy as could be!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a fantastic stay at Ocean Escape. The view was to-die-for and the house was so cozy during winter-coast-weather.
