Dieses Haus direkt am See am Iyopawa Golf Course ist ein neues Angebot bei HomeAway, aber es handelt sich um ein 5-Sterne-Haus auf einer anderen Hosting-Plattform! Dies ist eine Ferienimmobilie auf der begehrten Insel Iyopawa mit Coldwater Lake auf der einen Seite und einem regulĂ€ren 9-Loch-Golfplatz auf der anderen Seite. Das Haus wurde kĂŒrzlich renoviert. Angeln, Bootfahren, Golfen und Schwimmen sind buchstĂ€blich direkt vor Ihrer TĂŒr. Wir vermieten wochenweise von Juni bis August von Samstag bis Samstag. Der Rest des Jahres wird nachts bei einem Mindestaufenthalt von 2 NĂ€chten vermietet. Wir sind 5 Meilen nördlich der I-69, I-80 Interchange. Zu den SehenswĂŒrdigkeiten zĂ€hlen die Trine University, die Tibbitts Opera und 5 Championship-GolfplĂ€tze. Sie haben das ganze Haus fĂŒr sich! Viel Spaß beim Parken in der Garage! We came for the fishing which was awesome. Big beautiful lake. Being able to dock your boat for your stay is absolutely the best. Cottage is a gem tucked back up on a hill with so many great views. Sitting on the porch enjoying the wildlife, watching the lake while eating breakfast. Yeah, it's like that kind of vibe. Miss Kitty was a welcoming host and ensured we had all the local info we needed to make our stay pleasant.

The owner, Kitty, has thought of everything to supply her cottage. This is one of the most well-stocked places we've ever rented & that was very impressive. It was the 2 of us but there are beds for 8. There are 3 areas on different levels to enjoy the lake. There is a dock to tie up a boat. The cottage was clean, having a washer & dryer, as well as a clothesline, was defintely a bonus. This was our first time on Iyopawa Island and we loved it.

This was a nice clean place with an amazing view, nice grill and porch. It really has the potential to be a GREAT place but many of the sitting areas need a little work. There is firewood available for the fire pit which is a balcony above the water. The master bedroom is great, but the two rooms upstairs need doors. Kitty is a wonderful host, and the place had everything that we needed. I would rate it a five, but there needs to be more upkeep on the outside.

Despite the lake community having many houses near each other, this cottage felt very private. Kitty, the owner, is great and communicates well. While it was just the two of us, there was bedding upstairs for an additional 4 people. The electric fire insert was nice and warm. Puzzles and two tables to work on them. Not far from town (15-20 min. to Coldwater, MI) or 15 min. Or less to Angola and Pokagon where we hit the tabogan run. Fun fact: it was snowy and cold while we were there but the view at sunset over the lake and listening to the lake freeze, pop, and "talk" were very satisfying.

So Many Things To Do!!!

What a great week away from the business of life. Great location: golf course across the street, on the lake for boating, sand bar, fishing, walking around the island, golf carting if you bring one, and great community of friendly people. We had 8 people stay comfortably, 1 restroom is a bit challenging but do able. Parking is a little struggle for day guests. Only 3 parking spots including 1 in the garage. But again all minor details that are over come by the location. Refrigerator/freezer in garage and house make it nice for plenty of room for food and drinks.

Owners treated us like family

I had the pleasure to work with Lynn and Kitty who make a good team to run the property. I could tell they have poured their hearts and time into this home and they were readily available to help with whatever my family needed. Check in was easy. Comfy seating for family time and outdoor eating. Water felt great and had a great swimming spot. The island has 140 beautiful homes with kind neighbors. The island makes for a great nightly walk of just over 1 mile. We look forward to returning to the place.

Quick Getaway

Great location, beautiful neighborhood. Lakefront property where we could enjoy watersports right outside and the kids could swim right off the dock. Access to the chain of lakes for longer boat trips. Beautiful neighborhood made for easy walks in the morning or evenings. Had a cool weather day and was only 20 minutes away from Pokagon State Park where we went horseback riding.

Coldwater Lake Cottage

Kitty was an absolute delight to work with. She went above and beyond to ensure we were able to access the unit, even taking the time to personally walk down and let us in when the smart lock information was incorrect. Kitty's responsiveness and kindness as a host deserve the highest praise. However, in the interest of transparency, I do feel the current listing photos do not accurately represent the true state of the property. The home has more of a rustic, "lake cottage" feel than that of a regularly maintained residence. The walls have an older stucco-style drywall, and the trim work is inconsistent, with chipped paint in many areas. The electrical work appears to have been done haphazardly, with external channels and some missing faceplates. The main bathroom floor is in poor condition, with peeling linoleum exposing a dirty, mildewed subfloor. The HVAC system also needs attention, as the loud slamming and knocking noises when it shuts off indicate significant issues with the ductwork, blower, or damper. We had to stop using the air conditioning at night due to the disruptive noise. The grill is completely non-functional, with heavily corroded burners and brittle, flaking internal metal. It's a safety hazard and should not be used. Additionally, there are several broken siding pieces, which could allow moisture or pests to enter the home. On a positive note, the lake view from the property is truly stunning, with two decks to take in the lakeside setting.

Island paradise

We didn’t spend a lot of time at our Vrbo really except to sleep. The water out the back door was beautiful and relaxing. My friend and I did get up bright and early to walk the island before leaving. Very beautiful location overall! Owners were very helpful at check in! Definitely a location with visiting a second time

We stayed to visit our daughter that goes to Trine. We wanted to hike sone of the State Parks. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate, so we ended up staying and enjoying the house and watching movies. It was a wonderful weekend :)

Great Location

As someone who likes the outdoors, this place could not of been in a better location. We had a nice golf course 40' out the front door and a beautiful freshwater lake 60' out the back door. The house was clean and nicely decorated and had all the necessary amenities that we needed. The property manager was very nice and made sure to check in with us on occasion to make sure everything was ok with our stay. There was a nice seating area attached to the back of the garage, one on the back of the house, and two other patio areas working down to the water. If your taking a boat, make sure to check with a local to get the scoop on the shallow spots on the lake. They will sneak up on you and can be harsh on your prop. The water was super clear and clean and the house was very accommodating and quiet. We would definitely go back. Towels & Linens, Washer/Dryer, Microwave, Dishwasher, Cable, 3 tv's, Coffee Pot, Pots/Pans, High Speed Internet / Wi-Fi, etc. were all included.

Nice get away

Great get away that was close to home. Lynn and Kitty were excellent about answering any questions we had and helping us feel comfortable. Kids loved the beach and the golf course right across the road was very convenient. Would definitely go back!

House very clean, however we had a few problems

House clean had everything that is listed. However the step into house very high needs a guard rail or something to help older people get in. Beds very uncomfortable. Toilet very low to ground and hard for older people to get up from. We booked for 2 nights left after first night just couldn’t do another night in beds.
